This year, 2025, we called them to report it was not working sufficiently: temp is set at 23, but the house registers 24.5 degrees! They want to charge $150 just to come out and inspect the problem. The original unit lasted approximately 20 years without an issue. This new Carrier unit installed by Convertible is just over 4 years old and it's unable to maintain a comfortable temperature of 23. Recent heat waves are a good test of the quality of an air conditioner unit, as well as the reliability of the company you hire when you need a new one. Disappointed in both!

I called for service and Gregory was here first thing this morning, He changed the capacitor in the air conditioner and cleaned everything out and even moved the air conditioner away from resting on the house wall. He also explained that my leaving the unit off until it was unbearably hot was not a great idea. the service was fast, Gregory was professional and efficient as well as very personable. Since 2006, I have purchased a furnace, air conditioner and tankless water heater for two houses and have been very pleased with the quality, the service, the staff as well as the price. I highly recommend this company. And the sales person I dealt with on both occasions was Marnie Amodeo. She was exceptional at helping me find the exact products I needed for my homes. I highly recommend this company.

Consistent, Great Value and Service Last November our…read morefurnace gave out on us. It was the day before a major cold snap, and I was absolutely panicked! I called Pro Climate. We used them previously to install a Carrier AC unit in our old house and were really happy with their professionalism and the quality of work. Armando was kind enough to arrange to have the work done the same day as he was concerned that we would have no furnace during such cold weather. His team arrived at my home within 3 hours of the call! They were fast, friendly and super efficient. They cleaned up and made sure to take all of the waste and packaging away. We were thrilled with the service. The other thing to note is that we shopped around the previous year in preparation for our eventual purchase of a new furnace and Pro Climate was significantly cheaper than every other HVAC company we checked. It was the same for the AC they installed in our old house. Hands down they are the most reasonably priced company I've seen. I have been referring this company to friends and family since 2010 and will continue to do so as they are in my opinion, the best HVAC company out there. Everyone I have referred them to agrees! Thank you so much for everything Pro Climate and a special thanks to Armando. I wish all businesses operated as humanely and as professionally as he does.

After my hot water heater died, I searched around to find a contractor to replace the heater. I…read morecontacted Constant Home Comfort through their website and got a callback in a few minutes. The salesperson came by the following morning to take a look at what needs to be done. I decided to replace my aging furnace at the same time and the salesperson walked me through the set of rebates that I can get from both Ontario and Enbridge. They also recommended adding attic insulation, which I hadn't done and was much needed. The additional Enbridge rebate pretty much pays for the insulation minus the required energy audit. Constant Home Comfort was able to get local contractors to install the hot water heater and the furnace on the same day. The contractors rolled out a carpet to the basement so that they didn't track dirt into the house and they did a great job of cleaning up after. The contractors fixed some issues with the A/C coil leaking into the furnace. They also taught us how to maintain the new equipment. Constant Home Comfort also took care of the rebates and set up the visit by the energy auditor. They still have to add insulation to the attic, but so far I'm very pleased with their service. Constant Home Comfort takes payment through cheque. They also speak Mandarin.

Do not use this company! The fan on the heat pump that was installed broke within a month. The 24…read moreservice is a lie - calling all their numbers for days, we finally got them to send a technician to look at the broken machine. They finally sent a technician who has no idea how to fix the machine. Promised to send another technician after the first who apparently will still not be able to fix the machine, they are just going to come here and call the manufacturer. We are just supposed to sit here in the scorching heat waiting for them to call the manufacturer who refuses to take their calls. The 24 hr service is an absolute lie. The units they sell are faulty. This company is a scam!

I called this company for a seasonal service because my gas fireplace would not turn on. I was told…read morethe pilot assembly was rusty and needed replacement, which cost about $700. After the service, the fireplace worked but shut off after roughly one hour. I contacted them again and a technician returned and turned the unit back on, but it shut off again shortly after they left. When I contacted them a third time, I was advised to check the chimney. I personally inspected it and confirmed it was clean and unobstructed. When I followed up again, I was told there may be other issues that would require additional costs and that the problem was not their responsibility, with the implication that I did not know how to operate a gas fireplace. I found this response unprofessional and disappointing, especially since the issue started immediately after their repair and remains unresolved. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

His professionalism was matched by the installation crew that communicated well through the process and did a very neat and careful installation. It's only been running for a few weeks and so far everything has worked perfectly. They matched the equipment warranties with equally-long labour warranties (in the case of the heat pump up to 12 years). I left positive reviews for City Home Comfort, and I regret it. In early spring of 2025, I had them…read morereplace a boiler installed in my rental property by another terrible company called Novelcare. After 5 years of constant breakdowns, usually on the coldest days, I contacted City Home Comfort because I saw very good reviews for them online. They get those good reviews by pestering customers to leave them as soon as the job is complete. As it was spring, there was little need for heat. As soon as the cold weather arrived this winter, it broke down. We got it going again through another company because City Home Comfort said my tenants would have to freeze for a couple of days until they could arrive. After it started working, we discovered a new problem I'd never had; it wouldn't adequately heat the second floor. The company that got the boiler going again had suggested the circulation pump was too small. I relayed this to City Home Comfort who dismissed this suggestion and insisted the problem was due to drafty old windows and lack of insulation, but I said I'd never had this problem even with the previous boiler that kept breaking down. I know it's a drafty 100 year old house but the boilers always compensated for this problem. They didn't care and kept insisting the problem was my windows and lack of insulation. So according to them, I had to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars replacing the windows and ripping up the walls to insulate. I'd had enough and called up The Boiler Shoppe who replaced among other things, the inadequate circulation pump. It cost me nearly $5,000 to correct all the mistakes of City Home Comfort and a further $1,800 to my 2nd floor tenant for the cold days below the municipally required temperature she endured. Since the repairs, I haven't had a problem. I've come to the conclusion that the problems many have with modern boilers doesn't come down to boiler brand, but to the surfeit of incompetent installers. Many people leave bad reviews for boiler manufacturers when I think they need to be blaming the installers.
