Could not be happier with Cozy Caterers!!! I had them cater my wife's graduation party at Beavertail Park in Jamestown, RI last month. They were prompt, the food was hot and so delicious! I ordered the Southern Style BBQ and my oh my was it good! All of my guests could not stop raving about how wonderful everything was. I even had the inevitable few guests show up despite not RSVPing and we never even came close to running short on food. In fact I sent a bunch home with guests and still had enough left to put some in the freezer. I definitely plan on using these folks again. Amazing! read more

Cozy catered our wedding this past weekend and my wife and we could not have been happier. Everything was top notch, the food, the service, highly professional and higly motivated to make the bride and groom satisfied. This company catered a special event at the facility where I work in March 2014. It seems like everyone in RI has a friend who does catering, so it can be difficult to separate the great ones from the amateurs. The event was an all day seminar with a lunch for about 30 men. On the first day they brought enough food to feed about half of the attendees. I tasted the chicken soup, which was made from scratch and average quality. The second day they showed up with ample food: one tray of dried out BBQ pulled pork and one tray of burnt meatballs. There was no barbecue sauce to liven up the pork. One guest with a dietary restriction let us know 4 hours ahead of service that he can't eat pork, which was immediately communicated to Cozy. The guest had to wait for his lunch - a turkey sandwich - until everyone else had finished eating, because no one at Cozy remembered to put something together for him. Oops. So Monday they forgot to bring enough food to service the event. Tuesday they forgot to take the food out of the oven before it burned, and then forgot about the customer with a dietary restriction. Needless to say, we weren't in love by Wednesday. For a modern catering business operating in the #1 restaurant town in the country, it's unacceptable. Over promised and under delivered. read more

Went to a Birthday function here yesterday. The venue overlooking the Marina on the outside deck was beautiful. The food was outstanding! This place has a capacity of around 120 people with a beautifully decorated indoor area as well as the outdoor deck. Hidden gem !!!!!! read more

OMG! I can not rave about these caterer's enough! I was at a wedding this weekend where these caterer's were used. The food was the absolute best food I've ever had at a wedding. Hands down. As a bridesmaid I was privy to many of the steps of planning this wedding and the bride was most excited about this caterer the entire time. She was a friendly and experienced caterer who was very attune to the Brides wants for this wedding. Her staff was helpful and friendly, and they also provided the bar service, at a minimal additional cost. It was most wonderful! I couldn't believe that the food at a wedding was so yummy. All of us in the wedding party took business cards for any future events we could have. I suggest them to everyone now. read more

I never make bad reviews about a company mainly because I don't like to bash people, but when it comes to people paying all of this for a wedding I guess the truth needs to come out. Last Saturday we got married and we went through cozy catering and everything seemed great at the time and I got along really well with the wedding coordinator until a day before my wedding when called me up and told me she could no longer coordinate my wedding due to having Covid which I completely understood. She then told me she had just hired someone who was new to the team and it was her first wedding ever and she wasn't sure if she was going to be able to do it all and if I could please be there along with my bridesmaids to help out. I was appalled because it was not my job to do anything nor my bridesmaids jobs to do anything. She then proceeded to keep calling me the day before and the day of the wedding to please make sure someone is there. So while my bridal party and myself were getting dressed I had to ask friends and family to please come and help set up before the wedding. That was the first mistake that this place made. The day before my wedding for the rehearsal the day of coordinator was suppose to be there to tell us what to do and never showed up so luckily we had someone who had already gotten married to help us! Next the day of coordinator that had just started working told two of my bridesmaids to give her some of their flowers off of the bouquet for the wedding cake and said I approved it which wasn't true at all. We also were told to ask our guests to see if they wanted chicken or beef so we did and the day of the wedding they were giving people both meats and some of the guests weren't able to eat. Next, our bartenders ran out of alcohol and the first two alcohols that were to go was Gin and tequila which was needed for both of our signature drinks so instead of having a margarita with tequila in it, they put vodka in it instead. Instead of having a great wedding it turned out to be an absolute shit show. We paid all of this money just for our guests to not to be able to enjoy themselves or eat and for myself to have what I thought was going to be a stress free day to having to worry about everything that I shouldn't have to worry about. Needless to say I won't be referring anyone to use cozy catering company and if you do use it I hope you have a better experience than me. read more

When planning an event a lot of things can go wrong and in my 27 plus years & i have seen my share of disasters but this crew is quick on their feet to find a solution. There were a few small mechanical failures with the ovens but they came thru with a solution quickly and our bride and groom and their guests were none the wiser! One of my favorite restaurants. Clam Cakes are the best you will eat anywhere. Crispy on the outside and filled with clams. Ginger Orange Glazed Salmon is delicious along with the roasted vegetables. Mussels in garlic and butter are tasty and tender. Chef Kenny and staff will make you feel at home. read more

I was at an event on Saturday 3/25/17 that was catered by Cozy Caterers. The food was the INEDIBLE!!!! The menu was Beef Wellington with potatoes and carrots. There was absolutely no consistency on any of the plates. I received a small slice of wellington which was a hunk of pastry shell and a very small nugget of something they tried to pass off as beef. It was atrocious. I had 5 over-cooked carrots and half of an extremely dry potato that a fork couldn't cut through. The person sitting next to me received a HUGE slice of wellington that was so rare it was still purple in color with 15 over-cooked carrots and a large extremely dry potato. That is pretty much how the rest of the plates looked that were served to the guests...absolutely no quality control or pride in what they were serving. The food this company served was not fit for an animal. An elegant function that cost a ton of money and alot of planning which unfortunately will only be remembered with how HORRIBLE the food was. read more

They catered a wedding that I went to and the food was horrendous. They had some sort of a stuffed chicken with a mush of rice inside. The food had no flavor whatsoever. They also served salmon with a disgusting pineapple sauce on top. If I could give them less than one star I would. The champagne that they gave tasted like it went bad. Worst food ever. The fish was cold. The green beans weren't cooked the whole red roasted potatoes were just that whole. No butter no sauce. Some of the guests at the wedding had chicken was just as boring. The servers looked like they were either homeless an hour before or prisoners on work release. Ehh, attended a wedding! Appetizers in plastic bags were in clear view of all the wedding guests. had to cut the cheese and peel it off the knife. Butler style hors d' oeuvres we're ok in the beginning but got colder and greasier as the cocktail hour went on. Dinner menu was set on the table...Crab cakes we're never served. Instead they put out fried dough. Chowda was served in a tea cup. Grilled chicken was rubbery. They ran out of Grilled vegetables, Never saw a slice of cake or the cannoli's that we're on the menu. However, must say the wait staff was warm, helpful and friendly. read more

Used them for my wedding and would not recommend them to anyone! The beef was ice cold along with the chicken and the cheese platter sat there with no utensils for half of the cocktail hour. As well the night before my wedding they did not count correctly and were short dinners for my guests and said they would try to make it work for the next day which was my WEDDING DAY! I used Cozy Caterers for a surprise Birthday Celebration for my Wife a couple of weeks back. The event was planned five months in advance and with the assistance of Cozy the event was a huge success in every way! Cozy provided all of the food, linens, china, silverware, glassware, open bar and other incidentals for the party. They assisted me in planning the menu and made foods for the event from family recipes and many of their own creations as well. They also cleaned up the venue we rented ( Warwick Museum of Art ) as part of their services. Everyone was most pleased with the food quantity, taste, appearance and overall presentation. Christine was pleasant to work with and made the effort to accommodate all of my needs and even personally made a specific dinner roll that she felt would fit nicely into the menu which it did. The Bar Tender, Wait Staff and Cook were all a delight to work with and everyone at Cozy took great pride in their level of service and quality of food. Just had Cozy Caterers for a bridal shower at the house. Christine was amazing to work with as I was unsure of the portion sizes to order. We picked up the wraps, caesar salad, and roasted veggie cous cous salad Sunday morning even before they were actually opened, as that time worked for us. The order was ready and all packed, ready to go. The wraps were huge and attractively placed on the platter. We ordered the large which was more than enough for the 30 guests. We had about 1/2 of the large caesar salad leftover. The dressing was awesome and the caterer provided 2 large containers filled with dressing. We still have a whole container for our own use! A plus! And the cous cous salad we ordered just to have something different. It was delicious. Folks went back for seconds and we ate it for the following 2 days... Cozy is catering my son's wedding in October, which is actually the reason I used them. I know the reception will be amazing because of the care and commitment to excellence that Cozy Caterers will provide! read more

We had our thanksgiving catered from Cozy. They were extremely professional from beginning to end despite our order being sort of last minute. We even recommended them to a friend who needed some last minute things and they were just as professional to her. On the day of pickup (thanksgiving morning) Cozy was very organized despite it being sort of chaotic in terms of the number of customers picking up at once. I was picking up my order and my friend's and we were out of there within 5 minutes. We got the full Thanksgiving dinner plus a couple of appetizers. The only things I didn't really care for were the bread basket and the sausage stuffing. I don't think we were expecting artisan bread and the stuffing is just one of those things we like ours better. We definitely intend to use Cozy again and would recommend them to anyone. Customer service is top notch. Christine was very responsive at all times and you can tell she really cared to make a good impression. She even followed up after the holiday to ask how everything was. read more

I had the misfortune of attending a family reunion where Cozy Caterers catered the event. The southern style bbq food was disgusting! The ribs had some bad spice on them that over powered the taste of the ribs. The potatoes in the red potato salad were raw and uneatable. The cucumbers in the cucumber tomato salad were mush. The 3 cheese mac and cheese was dry and had no taste (SALT!! Cooking requires some use of SALT). The peach cobbler was gummy at best. The only thing I found to be eatable was the chicken (it very hard to screw up roasted chicken). I would never recommend this caterer to anyone. I myself cook much better than this. read more

I have used cozy caterers 3 or 4 times to cater a large event at my house. While the food could never be described as creative or excellent , it was a solid B. The first two experiences with them were good and it went downhill from there, this past year being the absolute worst. The liason person was not available as in the past, going on vacation for over a week with no message stating this on his phone. While Christine continued to be helpful, it took a lot to get them to send me a menu and then it contained things that had nothing to do with what I asked for. The kicker is that the bartender had the nerve to put out a tip jar!--he never asked, I didn't realize it and only found out when several guests mentioned that he was rude and therefore would not give him a tip. I am appalled that someone would do this without asking in my home where he got tips from us and was paid for the afternoon. They forgot to bring essential items such as dishes, glasses and ice. Someone went to fetch them and they arrived after the party started--the bartender, however, never mentioned the fact that there was no ice--we could have run out to get some. we had to dump out the ice in our freezer until it arrived. read more

I attended a wedding as maid of honor on 10/7/17 and let me just start out by saying the women in charge of cozy catering (with the short hair) was extremely rude. To the point where she blatantly walked away from me when I asked her a question. Also, getting some cream for the coffee seemed like such an ordeal to her; it almost felt uncomfortable. The food was cold by the time I received my meal and I personally do not think it was worth nearly what the bride and groom paid for it. Very dissatisfied would not recommend. read more

We hired Cozy Caterers for a post-wedding backyard BBQ party in September, and were very pleased with everything from the food to the service. They were very easy to work with when coordinating the event - they sent a cook to the venue (my mom's house) to see what they had to work with and what they would need. We enjoyed the Texas style BBQ, and also hired 2 people on staff to set up and keep things clean during and after the event. They brought three 6 foot tables with table cloths for serving the food, as well as a grill to prepare the chicken and ribs. We bought plates and utensils and drinks to save some money. Everything was delicious and the staff was so friendly and professional. They struck a perfect balance of interacting with guests and tending to their business. We had our wedding this August at the Narragansett North Clubhouse and Mark and his team at Cozy Caterers made our wedding a dream and a breeze! We had met with several Rhode Island caterers and we knew as soon as we talked to Mark he was the caterer for us! His experience brought suggestions that made our big day better than we envisioned. Mark took care of each detail he knew was important to us. The food was spectacular and all my guests are still raving! Mark took into account our budget and our vision and worked with us every step of the way. He was always available by phone or email when we had questions. But the biggest praise would have to be how Mark thoroughly coordinated our whole reception so we could just enjoy our wedding day! Cozy caterer's did our wedding this weekend. We were extremely disappointed and frankly embarrassed with the food quality, service and the lack of sanitary practices. The "cook", servers, and coordinator were sweating like crazy, constantly wiping their sweaty heads with their hands, no hair nets or gloves were used while handling any of the food. The bread was extremely stale, you couldn't even chew it, I'm assuming it was previously frozen. There were many guests, including us (the B&G) that were never asked if we wanted any of the passed horderves. I don't know if they didn't have enough or if they just kept serving the same guests. The Italian station food was all par-cooked or previously cooked and frozen then re-heated in ovens in the garage. GROSS is being polite. The chicken parm was like cardboard, The bride and groom were last to eat, no one ever waited on us once all night, no special treatment whatsoever. The beverage service left a lot to be desired, we supplied all of the booze and they were pouring tiny pours, forcing guests to needlessly get up and wait in line, many times.(my guess is this was done on purpose in an attempt to raise their tip amount). The crew was supposed to clean and remove all of the linens, organize the area for the rental equipment to be picked up by their partner vendor. They left trash, cups, napkins and leftover food all over the tent. They were supposed to return all the un-used alcohol to the garage and secure it. Unbeknownst to us, They left it all outside in the tent, which was extremely careless. Any of the neighborhood kids could have gone in the tent overnight or the next morning and there could have been a very serious issue. When it was time to wrap up, not one person from the crew came to find either of us to discuss the night, any issues, ensure items were secure, nothing, they all just screwed. Several of us witnessed some of the staff drinking, which I assumed was normal but should not happen. NEVER AGAIN! read more

This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a Yelp review. I often find them helpful, and usually agree with the overall ratings. But in this case, I just felt like I had to say something, so here goes! I have been to many many many weddings, fundraisers and various catered events in and around Rhode Island for the past 25 years. This is the WORST catering by far i have ever encountered. The salad was miniscule, looking small even on the bread plate it was served on, and the mesclun greens, long at room temperature were completely wilted; the entrees were also skimpy and were at lukewarm temperature at best - mine was downright cold -- i had the stuffed pork, which was dry, overcooked and served with what looked like roasted potatoes but were inedible hunks of cold chewy potato; my companion had the chicken which admittedly was a bit warmer and was cooked nicely with a pleasant sauce, but the portion was really small, maybe 6 ounces of meat? And it was only marginally warmer than my cold pork. Even the after-dinner coffee was lukewarm. I used to look down my nose at places like West Valley Inn, but at least they serve their food hot and give you enough to eat. This was so bad in so many ways. We made a nice day of it anyway and it was a lovely wedding in a beautiful venue. We should have known things were not going to go well when the caterers forgot or just plain left out the pre-dinner beverages that were supposed to be available to all, in addition to the cash bar, being: cold lemonade, hot apple cider, and coffee. Well there was no lemonade and no coffee, and the cider came out only at the very end just before dinner was to be served. The appetizers -- cheese, crackers, and crudite were put out on platters with only napkins -- no plates -- to put them on, and with no forks, tongs, or other utensils to pick them up with. To cut the cheese, they put out butter knives, by which I mean regular dinner dull blade knives. So the guests are struggling to cut through the small (of course, setting the theme of limited amounts of food from beginning to end) blocks of cheese and not really having anywhere to put it down. Eventually they brought out plates and a pair of pasta tongs. It was a disgrace. Not a single good thing to say about the catering, and no matter how pleasant the waitstaff, it just cant even begin to make up for that appalling excuse for a meal. read more

This was not what we expected. First the candy bar at our wedding consisted of four measly bowls, the pictures on the website showed beautiful displays of m&m's, whole big chocolate bars and many more types of candy. When we received the leftover candy it was in packages from the Christmas Tree shops labeled $1.99. There wasn't a sign like the website showed either. The lemonade and iced tea didn't have ice and was warm, there was supposed to be fresh lemons and peaches for tea, again nothing. The staff arrived late, were arguing with each other, and the woman in charge was dressed so informally as a wedding caterer. None of the dips were labeled, the hor deurves were sparse until we told them they weren't making it around the table, mind you, this was 33 people, less than our count of 37. No organization, food was mediocre, guests had to get their own coffee. For the price it was a big disappointment. Mark, didn't show at our small wedding because he had a bigger event, which took precedence over me and my wife's wedding day. The staff sent couldn't handle this small venue and he was of no help as I emailed him from my wedding because my wife was so upset.
