Cozy Burger and Side of Onion Rings
    Dawn M.

True diner flare! One time I'm going to sit at the counter!! Service is always friendly. I did order the biscuits and gravy and found the gravy to be a little milky and not having much sausage so that was disappointing but everything else was fine. The portion size is good for the price, for breakfast.

Thursday lunch with my parents. mom and I split the pork tenderloin, stepdad got chili mac and added grazianos sausage o. it. he loved it. the tenderloin was ok. they said the onion rings were skinny ones, but these were in between, not the straw type, but we're still pretty good. Our server did a great job.

Not the meatloaf Club sandwich that I ordered......but it was good anyway. Meat Loaf Club Sandwich

Got my order wrong....but food was really tasty. Cute atmosphere. I ordered a meatloaf club, but got an Italian meatball sandwich.

I think the place was alright. Few things really got me to think I will never go back like all there severs just grap the Cinnamon roll with there hands (not cleaned) warm it and serve it. Also the fact it didn't come out first, it came with breakfast. Then I saw another server pickup dirty dishes then go get another roll to warm up for a table using hands.... As far as food goes it was good old school dinner place, with large size meals and full once done. Had the coffee black with no issues so that's good too

I came here on a busy, New Year's morning with a large group and we waited 30 minutes to be seated. Our waiter was quick to get our drinks and orders. I got a cinnamon roll, potato bites (tater tots) and bacon. The cinnamon roll was so good! Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food and didn't have any issues. Cozy Cafe has a warm, homey, diner atmosphere with TV's to watch the game. Would come back again when I'm in the area!

It's a diner that also has beer and limited alcohol options. And, Food Network on the TV!

So many places are closed with the economy tanking, and we thought this place was closed, too. There were only two cars out front. Now that I see what a terrific little place this is, this has me worried about their future. But, for the present, this is a big winner. As with many diners, there are entirely too many things on the menu. But, it appears that they do enough of those things quite well. My wife got a nicely cooked grilled chicken sandwich with perfectly cooked crinkle cut fries. I got the southwest omelette, which included various meats and peppers. I added cheddar cheese. I was concerned about the jalapeño cheese sauce, but it turned out to be very mildly spicy. It was delicious. And, the hash browns are perfectly cooked: crispy, without a hint of grease. I also love the marble rye toast. A meal with more than enough food for two, including a glass of Prosecco, only set us back $27. As good as the food was, we are definitely going to make this a stop next time we pass through town. I just hope that they get enough business that they stay open.

What is up with the apostrophe!!!!

Dreamy lil nostalgic spot to come for Sunday Brunch after church! They were busy but well staffed and we were treated kindly. My biscuits and gravy were delicious! I would like to know more about the apostrophe by Cafe on their sign (see picture below) but my friend said please do not ask that is embarrassing so I guess I will never know and that is okay. Maybe I am not meant to know, maybe I am just supposed to enjoy gravy!

We love the service & the food! Our server was incredibly sweet - very family friendly & the prices are great! Tons of options to choose from, we've been there 2 times & loved it. We bring people visiting into town here, as we can have conversations & still hear each other. The food is comfort & the setting is cozy. Would recommend as it's a wonderful location to feel right at home!!

First off, what a menu! Place has it all, including a full bar. The location has outside seating and plenty of indoor seating. The waitresses and waiters were on point, extremely friendly, and super fun. Jamie was our main server, but other servers were willing to help, working well as a team. The food was AMAZING, breakfast and lunch. My friends and I had a great meal in a very friendly environment for breakfast and lunch. Would recommend, 5 stars!

Stopped in while in town, had a yummy breakfast. Plenty of food! The coffee was awesome! Also, they had fantastic cinnamon rolls! They were really busy this morning, I imagine that's really common for them!

We saw there were a few table so we decided to try it with the intention to be quick. Boy am I glad we did! Started with the sunrise juice, a carrot juice blend and the homemade strawberry lemonade both were so fresh and delicious. We tried the brown sugar and cinnamon pop tart and that was heaven in my mouth. So much flavor and goodness. I ordered the limoncello French toast and it is a slice of fresh baked lemon bread made into French toast. The flavors were rich and the texture was fluffy. A must try while it's in season. Others got the turkey and avocado Benedict and the pancakes with eggs and bacon. All cooked to perfection. Our server Jess was so nice and we did tip her well for being so last minute, but to our credit we were out of there at 6 mins after closing while everyone was still working to close up. Service is usually stellar and the location is fairly convenient with lots of parking (in the back too!) My only complaint is that my friend I go to the restaurant with who is in a wheelchair due to mobility issues has to park in back and roll all the way around the building. Its fine on a nice day, but sucks if its extra warm or super cold. I know this isnt the fault of the restaurant, but the building owners . The ambiqnce is fine, if its busy it get a little louder than I'd like. Maybe some strategically placed sound dampening tiles? I get the industrial look, but with the concrete floors, its a bit of an echo chandler when itw busy.

This place is right on the corner, well maintained and has good signage. It lacks on curb appeal, but we came for the food, drinks and atmosphere. Upon entering we were greeted by big crowds and a very busy place. We lucked out and were able to sit right down (at the bar of course). The place is dated, and slightly divey but it has a lot of seating and the staff all seemed to be busy making it happen! There is a lot of table seating both high top and standard table and chairs. In addition to about 20 seats at the bar. Plenty of televisions with all types of content playing. Although it was busy we soon had 2 bartenders offering us drinks and menus. Shortly after we were drinking our beers and ordered some hamburgers. Kim opted for the regular hamburger with cheese and a side of fries. I ordered the jalapeño blue cheese burger. It was loaded with plenty of blue cheese crumbles and the jalapeños were a nice touch. I will say they were both solid choices. They make it clear that the $12-15 sandwiches do not come with sides unless you order the baskets. So sides are all in addition to the prices on the burgers. So it makes it a bit more expensive and for me $20 for a burger and fries is on the high side for anywhere in or around the metro. The service was good and as the crowd began to die down we ordered a second round. Though I feel the prices for stand alone sandwiches are high, at least the ones we had and the ones we saw delivered to other tables were pretty generous in size and the ingredients seemed fresh. All in all a pretty decent experience. If you are looking for a well made sandwich, in Grimes this seems like a good place to find it.

Not over crunchy and not to heavy. The make to order omelet was good to. For some reason they left the bacon out but I just tossed it on top with the avacado I was craving. The TVs were on but not to loud yet. There was some football playing later in the afternoon but it wasn't game time yet Music played as we sat and chatted. The food was good. My friend really liked her French toast and black tea. I'm glad I made it out for breakfast. The staff was friendly the whole time. Completely affordable breakfast for us two ladies. The host worked to get everyone seated as quickly as he could. A server was at the table almost immediately for our drink order, and they were served in no time. There is quite a selection of breakfast and lunch items to choose from, and I settled on The Classic. I really liked the option for a small cake instead of toast, and I enjoyed that tremendously! The ham steak was thick, juicy, and flavorful, and the eggs were scrambled perfectly. The hash browns were a little bland, and I would rather have had an option for breakfast potatoes instead. But the meal was good and reasonably priced for the portions. For those who like coffee, there is a wide selection of options. The place is cozy inside with warm colors and all of the workers were extremely friendly in their interactions with customer. I felt very welcome and the table was well taken care of throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is nestled in a strip mall off the main street, so it isn't something I would know was there if I were just driving by. But now that I know it is here, I will definitely make a return trip to try additional items on the menu that caught my attention (I'm looking at you apple and blueberry bread, cinnamon rolls, and crake!)
