Most recently, the pump had not been running for four days, yet the cleaner reported in writing that the pump was functional during his visit. That statement was flat-out inaccurate and raises serious concerns about the honesty and reliability of their reporting. Additionally, the service log claimed the surface had been skimmed. If that were true, it should have been immediately obvious. I walked out less than five minutes later, and there was no visible evidence of any skimming having taken place. None. I understand that service visits are time-limited. What I do not accept is inaccurate reporting or being told work was done when it clearly wasn't. This is not the first time we've had issues like this, but it was the final straw. When you're paying for professional service, you expect transparency and accountability. Based on repeated experiences, this company delivers neither. I would not recommend them.

All this after I reported the tile falling off. Over the weekend the pool started turning green, I made a service call on Sunday, called Monday and left a message. I also sent text messages with photos of the green pool since the message said texts get a faster response. Someone responds and begins blaming me because there was a lock on the gate for 2 pool visits and sends me a picture of 5 chlorine tablets stacked on a brick wall. I asked why the person didn't call, text, knock or ring the doorbell and the person texted they have too many clients to be trying to ring every doorbell. Then I asked where in their manual does it state that leaving chlorine tablets at an unknown location and no other type of communication count as a professional pool service visit? The person continued to bash and blame me and i continuously stated that I now recalled why i had blocked the number because that same individual was still unprofessional, rude and has a nasty, negative tone. So, she as a Desert Bloom Pool Care employee and representative knew the pool was green because she acknowledged that I had submitted a trouble ticket and saw the photos said she would look at the ticket I submitted. Here we are on Wednesday 08JUL26 and no response from ANYONE about our green pool that was just renovated. The pool sits and they just ignored it. I would not recommend this company. This horrible service has happened consistently with me, and I have been at this home for 3 years. DO NOT waste your hard-earned money, time or have expectations that they will go above and beyond, listen to you, or provide you respect, courtesy and timely service. In addition, there was a lack of communication and follow-up from both the previous owner, Josh, and the new owner, Mitch. I reached out via email to explain what had happened, but neither responded. This left me feeling as though my concerns were no longer a priority once the work had been paid for. My hope in sharing this feedback is that proper procedures are followed on future projects so others do not have to go through a similar costly and time-consuming experience. But didn't come with anything to scoop the old sand out. ?? (He had already seen the equipment). I gave him something and watched him do the work. He told me my pool was super small (what does that have to do with anything?) so I said it is average size play pool: 13000 gals. When I stated the gallons, he acted surprised. But why did it even matter??? I didn't ask for his opinion on the size. ?? Then he told me our house was pretty small. Again ???? I told him is is 3,950 square feet and asked what does that has to do with my filter? He said he and his dad would be building NEW homes soon, because they 'do everything now'. Right...big talk from a short dude. In the end, he finished it and I paid him $350 for a one hour job at most. Which included 300 pounds of sand at a wholesale cost of around $100. Suffice it to say, this company isn't on my future list of people to use again, AND I have told Leslies that they shouldn't recommend them. Having known Wayne as a customer of mine for well over 20 years, and having used him over the years for repairs I couldn't handle myself, I naturally chose him to take care of my pool while I was sick. They came out right away and have been here promptly every week. My pool has never looked better. PRO TIP: The PROBLEM is that Don is really unprofessional. He really really REALLY hates being asked a question about a solution he proposes to a problem. His response usually is, "I've been doing this for 20 years, I don't have time to explain myself, I can get new customers in 20 minutes". PRO TIP: Don't have him drain your pool. He requires that you monitor the pump as it is draining the pool even though you are paying him to take care of everything. If you don't mind monitoring the progress of the pool being drained, ask for a discount since you are doing his job. Also, best not to have the pool drained when you aren't able to monitor. PRO TIP: Don likes to throw the pool debris literally anywhere but a trashcan. Make sure you are very clear with him what your expectations are otherwise he dumps the leaves in your yard right next to the pool or on your driveway or the street in front of your house. PRO TIP: Don likes to repair parts without providing a quote, then he just serves the cost to you in an invoice. Make sure you are clear with him about how and when he can repair or replace parts. PRO TIP: If you are fine working with a decent pool tech who thinks he is Gods gift to pool service and is straight up one of the most curmudgeonly men you will ever encounter, look no further, Don is your guy. There is nothing wrong with his pricing or his maintenance (except his inability to use a trash can). He or is wife will show up, work their magic, and leave within 5 minutes and your pool will be crystal clear. If you blink you will miss them. HOWEVER, anything beyond the basics and Don can get a bit temperamental. I have a 2 year old son, sometimes my son is easier to rationalize with then with Don.

Got an email that things went well. When I got home not only was the vacuum not running but the pool looked worse than it did before they came! It was so cloudy I couldn't even see the bottom. When I reached out the way I was spoken too was shocking! I basically said I was disappointed we were looking forward to swimming. I told them we just bought the home I was willing to buy whatever equipment necessary to use fix the pool. His response was Basically he didn't want to deal with our "crunch time" to want to swim!
