    One of the BETTER Cox Stores. I tried "cutting the cord", but when granny's in town, the internet is a necessary ill; so I find myself here getting my www dot com on. Clean BRIGHT store, friendly staff make my 11 mile drive worth it. Quick prompt service. Fast processing. This IS THE WAY it's supposed to be. Sign-in at the electronic kiosk, have and seat & listen for your name. OR you can also look to the wall for the 'now serving' screens. Lots of area to sit and wait. Comforting music to soothe your ear while you wait... yessssss. This time like all the others, I've come here and had a seemingly FLAWLESS transaction & processing. Most transactions are QUICK QUICK QUICK!!!! I'm seeing people in & out in under 10 minutes.

    Great location in a prime spot in Metairie with plenty of parking. Upon entering store, you are greeted continously by numerous staff members. I was highly impressed that within moments of walking in and browsing at the various products an employee came to me to ensure I was finding everything ok and wanted to see if I had any questions or needed assistance with anything. Of course I came in the store with intents to purchase new wi-fi internet services for my home and had various questions about their services offered and the rep was very knowledgeable and was helpful in helping me make my decision. When it came to the sign up process it literally took 5 minutes or so and I was out the door with my easy install kit that included a router /modem that was simply a plug & play type of deal. So glad I went into this store instead of ordering online which would have led to me waiting days to recieve the equipment.

    If I could give them a negative score I would. I'm a realtor & my client had to move quickly & asked me to return his equipment. I understand the hours aren't regular right now due to Covid restrictions, however, this was obviously more about employees on a power trip than it was about safety. So instead of opening at 8 or 9 am, they're opening at 10 am. I understand that. I was there waiting outside about 5 minutes early along with some others and we were standing on our respective social distancing floor circles. When they did open the doors & allowed people in, I, being 4th in line, was told to wait outside. Then when someone came out & left, I put on my mask & went inside. I was then told by an employee that I had to go back outside. I said "but someone just left so I'm not adding to the number of people inside". She said it didn't matter and I needed to go back out. The store is approximately 2000 sf & social distancing circles were located all through the store, but I was told to go back outside. Of course I complied, but when they were good & ready and felt like "allowing" the next person in, I was told to enter. Then I was told to stand on a particular circle while the employee took the bag from my bare hands to his bare hands to process the return. I've been in lots of stores since Covid & not one has demonstrated such a ridiculous power trip over people when measurements were obviously in place from a corporate standpoint within the store to handle a few more than 3 people inside at one time. Give some people a little authority and the use it for the slightest reason to be downright rude when THEIR bosses already had it covered. I wasn't a fan of cox before because of prior negative experiences, and again I'm reminded of why I'm still not their customer and why as an agent, if a client asks me to suggest a cable, internet, phone company, I would NEVER SUGGEST COX. NEVER.

    Outage.

    The worst service ever. I haven't had service a whole 30 days and there's already an outage. I can't watch tv, use my Wi-Fi for my phone, etc. When is AT&T bringing fiber to my property/area because I can't take this. Cox is out here screwing people. And I can bet $500 that they won't discount my bill for the outage either.

Luckily we were helped by Tony who was friendly, smart and got us through the process as quickly and painlessly as possible. This guy is the real deal.

I called and was told I would receive my service on one of two days. It didn't happen. I called and asked what was going on. Their system was down, not a good sign for an ISP. I called again. No one could tell me why I hadn't received service or when I would receive service. After spending over 2 hours on hold with AT&T that week. I canceled my order. Then I came crawling back. They were the cheapest service by far, and I decided to just wait it out with a new Zen attitude. Of course their system couldn't handle me canceling and reordering, so that took some more time with their call centers. I had to order a different service because the service they originally sold me wasn't available where I live, an impressive lack of competence for a multi-billion dollar company. The service I ultimately bought is slower and costs more, but it still was the best deal. Once I got that order in, everything went fine. I guess the moral of this story is that you get what you pay for.

I went in for a simple trade-in and left with the phone I didn't want and an extra phone line that I was told "wouldn't cost me anything because it was a promotion." It was late by the time I left and it took me a few days to realize - I hate this phone. I don't need an extra phone line and I pay extra per month to upgrade whenever I want. The manager Justin told me I could only return after 14 days and it had been 16 days so there was "nothing he could do." He gave me the 1-800 number so I sat in the parking lot and called. They said "the return policy is up to the discretion of the manager. We'll give him a call to see if he can extend it to 30 days." They called the store manager, Justin, and he refused. When they came back to the line, they apologized profusely. The corporate AT&T couldn't believe they have someone like Justin running this location. It's literally 2 days past their 14-day mark and they didn't even sell me the phone I wanted! Now looking at other reviews, I should've NEVER come to this location. Save yourself from rude employees and an even worse manager who clearly needs some training in customer service!

She failed to port over one of my phone lines correctly. She typed in one of the numbers wrong. On top of that, she typed in my email incorrectly so that I never received a contact and she's not capable of fixing that. So I cancelled the phone line on 8/22 and again 8/30. Apparently I had to cancel both the correct and incorrect phone lines. I texted Myrtle all day Monday and in Tuesday I got a response that she didn't work weekends, On Tuesday 8/23 I went to another store and they explained to me that the "in-home experts" were at this store but they go home 4:30ish, On Thursday 8/25 I came here & spoke to Landon, Myrtle's boss. He wouldn't take my phone either. Myrtle did contact me and we made arrangements (all of this is by text) to pick up my phone today 8/30 in the morning. Well this morning it became this afternoon. I told her I had to take my dog to the veterinarian this afternoon and work and I wouldn't be home until 8 pm. She informed me that per Landon she couldn't do it until this afternoon (she called it evening but since she said she gets off at 5:00 I believe she meant afternoon).
