Update...it's 6 days later and her hair still smells burnt and is likely permanently damaged. It was even worse than we thought!

My favorite spot for a mani + pedi (both gel and regular). Andrea is the best. Also I have to…read moremention the matching gel and regular polish selection they have. No more trying to get a close match for your gel hands and regular polish toes. They've already done the work for you, and have a large variety of not close but exact matches. I used to live on South Beach and didn't realize how spoiled I was to have this place close by. I moved a couple years ago and have tried new places for convenience and always end up back here. Well worth the drive. Andrea is amazing- she's not one to have to retouch her work and the polish always goes on thin. (Both due to her skill and Love's commitment to having fresh polish). Also, in my experience the staff has been good about sticking to appointments and seeing me within a few mins of arrival.

Remember the scene in Pretty Woman when she has to go purchase an outfit and the 2 women turn her…read moreaway because of how she looked? I was fully covered in mid length shorts and a shirt but the treatment felt much like that scene. I just had my nails done in my state and had regular polish put on my toes. I noticed a small chip and decided I should change the polish to gel. I walked by this nail place and decided to see if they could do a polish change. They did not have the color to match my nails which was fine, I said I could do another color. A color change from regular polish to gel should take 15 minutes. They said "you know, I don't think they want to do this service". I mentioned again, it was just a color change. The lady hunched her shoulders and repeated herself. I observed the shop, 2 customers 4 visible employees, no one looked like me. Perhaps they make so much money they can turn away all business but it did not look like it. In my town the nail places would have been pleasant, aporoached with customer service and taken the business. This place did not deserve my business. Do they deserve yours?

I had an extremely upsetting experience here that left me in tears. If you happened to witness this…read moreconfrontation, please message me!! I came in for a dip powder manicure with removal of my previous dip. At checkout, I was charged more than expected. I politely asked what the additional charge was for, and instead of explaining, both the manager and technician immediately became defensive. The manager immediately said he was only responsible for charging what the tech claims the service was. The technician claimed it was for "shaping" my nails, even though she had only lightly filed them in the same shape they already were. I was a bit taken aback by their reactions, but said I understood and was just asking them to explain. After reviewing their price list, I noticed the shaping fee was only listed under acrylic services, not dip powder. I went back to ask for clarification. The manager sighed, snatched the price list from my hand, said he was going to show me where it was and scanned almost the entire pamphlet and finally pointed at "shape" under the "acrylic" section and raised his voice to "say it doesn't MATTER" when I explained I did not get acrylic nails. The manager blamed the technician for the charge, while the technician blamed the business's pricing. Neither acknowledged that the fee wasn't listed for the service I received or that I had never been told there would be an additional charge. The situation escalated unnecessarily. I never refused to pay, demanded a refund, or accused anyone of wrongdoing--I only wanted an explanation. Instead, the technician insulted me, threw $5 at me, suggested I "needed medical help," and repeatedly implied I couldn't afford the service. She then told me "EVERYONE pays additional for shaping, why should you not?" Instead of acknowledging her role in this and suggesting I was at fault. I wish I had just left, but I was so taken aback and processing that I could not think straight. She turned to the manager and said "give her a refund since she's clearly here to just take my money. I don't want her money, I don't need it like she clearly does." After refusing to acknowledge me, the manager then told me that if I wanted a refund, the technician would first have to remove my manicure because "this is America, nothing is free." The entire exchange happened in front of a salon full of customers and was humiliating. My anxiety was on high, fully questioning myself and what I did wrong to elicit such a vitriolic confrontation over a question. I turned to look at the ROW of people staring at us from their pedicure chairs and quietly asked if I had been unreasonable and thankfully the two ladies closest to me immediately said "no." As silly as it sounds, I needed this confirmation because I still cannot make sense of what happened and why they acted the way they did. Mistakes and miscommunications happen, but treating a respectful customer this way is completely unacceptable. Based on this experience, I won't be returning.
