It was my first time attending Red River ! I was super excited to experiencethe new establishment in Houston... until the service at the bar department failed to give that high expected experience.
I was invited to dance on top of bar, by ladies working the bar. Which is fun and I recommended if you go and check it out ... Untill my almost full beer drink was thrown away by the time I went back to my seat after dancing.
I had danced a good 6~10 minutes before going back to my seat to see my beer gone ... mind you my beer was more than full and recently ordered. (I was seating next to the bar,)
I let one of the guy workers know who works the floor at the main middle bar in-front of the stage. " hey I was dancing on the bar but I came back to my seat with my beer being thrown out."
He asks me "who is your bartender?" ... I point to the lady who attended me on my beer... he informs that he can't assist me and that my bartender will take care of me.
In that moment I comprehend that I have to explain to the bar tender what had happened. So I try and explain that my recently paid beer had been thrown out as I danced on the bar.
As I'am explaining... again what had happened she immediately looks at me weird and says "why are you yelling ?" ...
Again, we are discussing this conversation at the MAIN BAR in-front of the MAIN stage. Where I am speaking loud enough to make sure she can hear me and understand... since there is a live band playing.
I respect service workers and did not have a problem repeating my self again for her to know the situation.
How ever when you pay a service and product her intentions were not in any way helpful or beneficial. She provided no solution or well given service.. representing the establishment in a dismissive way.
How ever, she called over someone that seemed as a manger who provided clear communication and excellent customer service. She took the time hear my concern and explain that someone could've taken my drink and it was not thrown out.
But that is what I appreciated... communication. I understood afterwards that could've been possible since my empty margarita drink had still been there and not my beer.
Besides the unpleasant bar service I experienced .the atmosphere is welcoming. I don't usually write reviews but this interaction was indeed eye opening and not justified .
From a perspective.. one goes for experience and services. Invest in the the people you hire. They represent your company at the end of the day. read more
