I had been wanting to go to a country club for a while and happened to be in the area. The parking lot is huge. I went on a Saturday night and there was a $5 cover. They don't take card, but there is an ATM right at the door. There is a dress code, but the bouncer that night was flexible when I told him my boyfriend and I weren't planning on coming but wanted to check it out. Drinks were super cheap and there was plenty of seating. The dance floor is perfect for large crowd line dancing. There is also a mechanical bull, pool tables and a smoking room. First of all, the atmosphere is pretty chill. The girls are amazing and didn't have many problems. HOWEVER, why do we have a MALE looking into the girls bathroom to check for suspicious things? A group of us (over 55ers) went for line dance lessons at 7 pm on Saturday. The lessons were well taught by Pat. It wasn't very crowded. The music and dancing were fun. I guess there were drink specials but they weren't advertised. We weren't sure how to order drinks. But after sitting at a table for quite some time and not seeing a waiter, we went to the bar to order. The beer was cold and reasonably priced. One friend said the wine was not good. We left at 9. I guess that's when the younger people come in. We actually went somewhere else to have a great tasting frozen margarita. But I'll definitely be back for the line dancing lessons. read more

Came here because I wanted to experience 2step and line dancing in Texas while visiting compared to NJ. I went to Buck Wild a couple nights before. Rowdy's was more my atmosphere. More line dancing songs in between. I forgot my card and license. I was so happy I got through to someone before the they open the next day and when I arrived the staff all knew to expect me. The owner himself gave me my stuff back. They have a system here. All the staff are nice, my bartender was super sweet, and the staff who greeted me were also kind and personable. Me and my boyfriend went tonight at 12am knowing they closed at 2am but yk a good time is a good time. I am over 21 so for me it's 5$ but for him it's 10$. Getting ready to pay, the lady at the desk must've been new because I've been going since 2022 and have never seen her a day in my life. She looked at my ID and said nothing and looked at my boyfriend and said "20 for you". Pulling out of line I told him that was wrong because the website says otherwise. We were trying to figure out who we could talk to about prices raising and she was VERY disrespectful. My boyfriends family comes from a fire department background and they usually honor a discount with that but she wasn't very helpful in that department either. We asked to speak to a manger (which made matters worse AND THEN threatened to call security) she yelled the majority of everything she said. I am a Latino woman so this is not a Karen writing this. I hate to be that type of person but this place is RACIST. I got kicked out because they tried accusing me of starting a fight that I had no business in, nor did I even know the people who were fighting. I was the only black girl who was near the girls while they were fighting and for some reason they kicked me out saying I was the one who started the fight and was fighting.. which is 100 % false information. I tried to talk to the owner and tell them they had false info but she was extremely rude and just kept telling me i need to leave. I told her to check the cameras and she wouldn't listen to a word i was saying. She just kept accusing me of fighting. I would never put myself in a situation as a woman of color in a majority white club to act out in such a way. This is discrimination at it's finest and it's disgusting. Fun dance hall. My family came on a Saturday night at 7:00pm and the place was empty and only had a few older couples dancing. The dance floor didn't start picking up until 10:30. The $2 screwdrivers, beers and drinks were good for the price. It is also $2 for a glass of water, so keep that in mind. This is an 18+ bar, so get ready for immaturity out of the groups of high schoolers that come in. The bull riding was also fun and that was $5 per person for 2 rides. For the music, it's a mix of Red dirt and pop county. Later in the night it was straight pop. It was a different playlist and I wish it had more Texas country music to dance. I've been coming to this place since before covid happened and I love going every time. On Wednesday they have dance lessons from 7-9pm and although I'm a good dancer some line dances I just don't know. They are wonderful with how they teach because they make sure to fix your stance so your dance is better. Friday's are my personal favorite because all of my favorite shot girls are there and they always make sure to save me the jolly rancher shots! And don't get me started on the food! I love it here. This place is huge, cool place especially during game days. will be trying in the future to convince the guys to watch the game on the big screen up front, while it's gals dance it up in the next area or even there where the screen is at (that is, if they have the games on the screen). Wow! Thank God for honest employees, and a very KIND manager at Buckwild's! I usually go to Buckwild's on Fridays for dance classes....so much fun, a great crowd and chance to meet new people and practice dance steps. They have one class in the main ballroom teaching a variety of dances (such as two-step, polka, waltz, etc) and the front room, teaching West Coast Swing dance. I'm enjoy the freedom of drifting back and forth between the two groups and dancing in both venues. When I returned to the front room where the West Coast swing group was, retrieved my shoe bag (which contained two pairs of ballroom dance shoes, and one pair of flat 'modern" dance shoes), and went over to say hello to friends, changing my dance shoes for street shoes while talking. Said "good night" and drove home. Didn't notice I'd left the shoe bag till next night when I was on my way to dance again....OUCH! Frantically, I called Buckwild's, spoke to the manager and he reassured me that the bag had been turned in and he had them...I was SO relieved. This place was awful. We chaperoned a group of 18/19 yr olds on a night they wanted to go out dancing. First of all, the smoke was enough to choke you. It's outside Houston limits so people are free to chain smoke in doors. Personally, I hate leaving a place with my hair & clothes smelling like an ash tray and feeling like crap for the next few days from inhaling second hand smoke for hours. Second, the bathrooms were gross. Of course there was a token drunk chick vomiting in the stall next to the one I was using. Went for the first time last night and it was so much fun! Definitely recommend this place if you just want a night of fun and dancing and drinking with friends. I've never line danced before and there is no judgement there at all, everyones just having fun.
