You must try the delicious homemade soups, served with toasty bread. The drink prices are excellent!

They featured a 9-8-9 menu with a few selections for $9.89. I got the chicken wrap and subbed the fries for a salad. The wrap was probably in a 12" tortilla. The salad was a decent portion. Definitely filling for just $10. There is a full service bar featuring a large variety of beers. Other mixed drinks are also available. Multiple tvs lined the wall tuned to various sporting events. There is a large seating capacity. The service was friendly. The meal was good and reasonably priced. A positive experience.

I had the Chicken Bacon Avocado sandwich, and it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I also had the garlic cheese french fries, and they came out in perfection; they were absolutely the best french fries I've had in my short 59 year life! The food came out hot, Jose provided friendly and attentive service, and the whole restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere. If you're passing through Mountain Home like us from South Dakota, Winger's is definitely worth a visit. We'll back! Ask for Jose "the future engineer" for your server!

After a long day helping some good friends move to Melba, I decided to stop in and experience some…read moreof the local color of a real farming and ranching community. I was not disappointed, starting with the sign at the front door saying no credit cards (what??). I was starving so ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon, ham and jalapeños. The waitress asked what I wanted to drink and I said a coke, and she said with a puzzled look 'I mean to *drink*' pointing at the bar behind her. The food was good, the patrons friendly, loud, and all having a good time discussing life, sports, and politics. The decor harkened back to the 70s with a self-serve cooler where you fetch your own non-alcoholic drinks in cans and bottles, a jukebox (of the CD variety) sporting the name (unwittingly, I'm sure) of one of Treasure Valley's top cover bands, a large bar with every seat taken, and a rear section with many pool tables where people were unwinding after a week of hard work. Waking back to my car I chuckled to see large pickups and SUVs partially blocking one of the main streets in town, which was probably laid out when horses were the only mode of transportation. Everyone should experience this at least once - I hear July 4th is a hoot.

Maybe the server was in a bad mood or was having a bad 4th of July, as she had the personality of a pissed off badger. Seems to rate pretty high, which is why we wanted to try it. I can't imagine I'll go back. I'd rather hit up a food truck and serve myself.
