This restaurant is known for their locally caught fish . This makes sense since they are minutes from the snake river. We were greeted by a very nice young lady and her service was very attentive. Our drinks never went below half gone. The restaurant had nice decor and noise level was low. It was a very enjoyable meal. read more

Think twice before dining at The Riverboat in Manteca. Our Saturday night experience on September 19th was extremely disappointing. We were seated directly next to speakers blasting music. I politely asked the manager if my wife and I could move farther away, but instead of helping, he refused and told me it would be "just as loud" anywhere else. We moved ourselves anyway--and it was immediately and noticeably quieter. That told us everything. A simple customer request could have been handled in seconds, yet the manager chose to dismiss our concern rather than help. To make matters worse, my fish was overcooked. Good food can sometimes make up for imperfect service, and good service can sometimes make up for imperfect food. Unfortunately, we received neither. If customer service and good food matters to you when choosing where to spend your money, I would strongly consider other options. We will not be returning. read more

We waited for ten minutes to even have them take our drink order despite being one of four tables. We then had to wait HOUR for just the appetizers to come out which were mid. When the food finally came out after an hour and a half it came out overcooked, cold, and the fries tasted like cardboard. The only decent part was the shrimp, the fountain drinks, and wedge fries. The server only visited us three times in our entire two hour long stay, she also had an attitude. read more

Great food and the service is excellent! The rustic setting makes it a great place to go for date night!

Their service is always great. Been here about a dozen times. Their beef in their burgers is excellent quality. I've had several menu items. Always good and consistent. read more

I usually have a great experience here. However, I went in on Friday night with some friends to eat dinner. Because there were so many of us, we asked the waitress to put it on one tab and we would split it out of convenience for her. The food was cold, chicken was overcooked, and services wasn't the best. Then we got our check and my husband paid the bill. We always leave a gratuity because we were in the service industry and know you can always have a bad night. After we left, I realized they had already added an 18% gratuity to our bill because of all of us. First, it annoys me that a gratuity is added to my bill especially when I am not informed prior to ordering. But, to put on the bill a forced gratuity and then accept a gratuity when I pay. That is so wrong. Before anyone talks about how people in large groups fail to tip adequately, we had left a $50 tip. Yes, I should have checked the receipt before my husband paid. But it is their job to give me a correct bill and be honest about accepting an additional when you have already collected. I will no longer support businesses that do that. read more

Kindness right off the bat! Nice greeting not out of food. Pleasant bar atmosphere. Food not as good as it could be but edible the service made up for what was lacking. We would come here again. read more

We've tried this place a few times but things just haven't been great any of the times. I do give it a 3 though because my family always orders the surf and turf and it is consistently good. I suppose that should have been my order previously. read more

Hidden gem for fresh local trout! Hagerman is known for their fishery from the fresh spring water flowing into the Snake River. We would had never found this place if not for Fish Breeders of Idaho (amazing prices on fresh fish and caviar)! Idaho Fish N' Chips - Excellent!!! Nice crispy breading and super moist fresh rainbow trout. Get this! Captains Platter - The shrimp and calamari were the winners on the plate. The cod and catfish were a little over cooked with some pieces slightly fishy but still edible. Great fresh cut skin on fries though! Service was a bit lacking - the waitress was inattentive and unavailable despite the restaurant being empty but was super kind and friendly. The owner put together a great menu (the kids menu had me rolling! So hilarious) and I'm sure it's tough finding good help in a tiny town. And the pre-inflation prices were a nice surprise. It's a dive-y hole in the wall for sure...go for the food! read more

Great menu, reasonable prices. Service was good. Plenty of food, you will not go away hungry.

Ate at the Riverboat 3 times: April 1, 2024: great food, amazing service. Give the girl working the bar a raise and more shifts! April 2, 2024: decent service. The waitress (different) was just okay. She seemed annoyed at having to work. April 3, 2024: fire your bartender. He was an ass. After waiting for LITERALLY 65 minutes for 2 salads we ordered, he was completely rude when I asked how long they'd be so we got up, paid for drinks n left. Review to say it's hit n miss. Take your chances. read more

We came around 7:30 for dinner and found a seat and got menus right away. My wife got prime rib that was moist tender. And delicious. I got the unbreaded finger steaks, they give you a huge portion and they are really good. Both meals come with a salad that's nothing special, also the come with there homemade green beans and backed jacketless loaded potato. My daughter had chicken strips and hand cut fries. Everything was seasoned very well Everything was great and service was good for only one waitress. She was on point and friendly. Food cost was cheap at $65 with 20% tip. I also had two cocktails. read more

You will not be disappointed if you chose to dine here! Everything was AMAZING from the customer service to the delicious food. Great atmosphere too! My hubby and I started with the hot artichoke crab dip then we ordered the Idaho Trout and the Rodeo Burger. The fish was incredible and the so was the burger. The ranch and fry sauce were perfect for dipping the hand cut fries and the side winder curly fries. The service was top notch! Thank you! We will definitely come back if we find ourselves in Hagerman again. read more

We ordered some to go food. They told us 20 minutes on the phone, but when we got there, they said it would be another 30 minutes. That's okay, since we could see they were short-handed, but when we got home, we saw they didn't give us any blue cheese dressing (or any dressing whatsoever) for the full cob salad we ordered. And everyone's meet was burned and tough. All in all, not an enjoyable experience. read more

We wanted trout since this area is known for its hatcheries and boy, we weren't disappointed! The huge portions were amazing and so delicious. Neither of us found a bone in our trout although we were kind of nervous about it. Our server was so helpful. The menu very strait forward. We would definitely eat here again. read more

We stopped by the Riverboat on a day trip. Great food and friendly services!!! We had the trout lemon pepper.

It isn't much to look at. The actual dining room feels very much like a diner. The other eating area is the lounge and it's very bar centric. We sat in both areas. It took a very long time to get our food, but our waitress was sweet as could be. My steak was delicious and my husband's Italian nachos was delicious as well. We would go back :-) read more

The best "fish and chips" I've ever had (and I typically get the local fish and chips when I travel. It was like if your grandpa had just caught it, and your grandma fried it up and put it right on your plate. The trout so fresh, a huge portion, and had the best crunchy crispy cornmeal breading. The others in my party also enjoyed their food. There was a bit of a wait, I think because they are understaffed (as everyone is!) but it was worth it and it seemed like a place that really cared about making good food. read more

Food was great, service was pleasant and efficient. Overall, we loved this place. prices weren't too expensive and serving portions were hefty. we went back three times during our short stay in Hagerman. I had the cobb salad one night, fajita salad and french dip another and my husband had the mushroom burger, finger steaks and another hamburger. Great little cafe!! read more

Clean restaurant and rest rooms. I had the Ranch burger; great; French fries were great; salad bar was minimal, but everything was fresh. My wife had the fish and chips; fish was poor to fair; some parts were inedible. Service was excellent; friendly waitstaff and checked in on us often. What would I do to improve the experience? Enlarge the salad bar (add fresh spinach, green olives, onions), and if fish is going to be on the menu; make it fresh fish or make it seasonal so you can offer fresh fish. Will we go back? Absolutely! read more

The food & service in the restaurant is great! The problem is the bartenders. They never fill the drink up, rude & inattentive & always irritated that they have to serve you in the first place! If you are going to sell drinks - at least fill your teeny tiny glasses before serving the drink! I'm not wasting any more time or money on this place even though the food is great. We will go across the street where you can get decent food AND DRINKS and they are happy to have you! read more

What a joyous experience. I was in need of a meal so badly and when those glistening onion rings and golden trout fillet was put before me, I was giddy. Giddy with more excitement than I have felt in ages. The food was served speedily and the service was immaculate. Place was clean as well. My partner's bacon cheeseburger and fries were also quite the treat to reach over the table and steal bites of. Place was not busy at all, as we went in the afternoon, but this place should've been crowded!! I mean it!! I would recommend this place to anyone!! I highly recommend the trout fish n chips (w/ onion rings). read more

One of the BEST burgers and home made fries in all of Idaho. I should know. I have eaten at many, many places. It is called "The Rodeo Burger"! Basic food that's pricey. If you would like dinner food there are better option in Bliss. The restaurant wasn't very busy at all and weight time was almost 45. read more

So let me start off by saying that if you are coming with a family, call in advance or you will sit in the back with no light which was very depressing. The table was very dirty & sticky. I had to order three different times because they had none of the food supplies needed for the meal. For example: Italian nachos had no chips, the Alfredo shrimp had no pasta, the steak & cheese wrap had no sirloin steak so I got stuck with the classic bacon cheeseburger. Other than that the food was really good & the waitress was very sweet but for those reasons I give it a 2/5. read more

We heard good things, and were excited to try a new restaurant. Unfortunately, the waitress seemed annoyed with our presence, menus were dirty (like actual dirt all over the back), we waited almost 30 minutes for our food, I saw the waitress drop my cup on the floor but refill it anyway, and the trout breading was burnt. On the plus side, my shrimp basket was perfect, I liked the music selection, they were competitively priced, and the outdoor seating option was a plus. When he pulled the breading off, my husband loved the trout meat. I've heard great reviews before, so possibly just a bad day, but we won't be visiting again. read more

We were in the area traveling from Twin Falls to Thousand Sorings SP. We stopped by for lunch. This is a small local restaurant with good quality foods. We had steak, local trout, and cheese burgers for the kids. The waitress was friendly. Definitely recommend. read more

My first time going here will also be my last. As we got our menus, me and my wife weren't welcomed like many other restaurants out there, almost like the waitress didn't want us here. While we were waiting later on, one waitress made a mess on the floor(a couple of fires) as she was cleaning a table and didn't care to pick it up from the floor for 5-10 mins. I also didn't have my water refilled until a few mins after i got my food. The food was really displeasing. It tasted like reheated leftovers, i also didn't get any napkins for my meal(which was very messy). What's worst of all of this was i did get sick later in the day which pretty much ruined my plans. Unless they have waitresses/chefs that would care for their customers i highly would not recommend this restaurant. read more
