Absolute hidden gem in this town. Americana-Irish inspired pub. When you enter you see a wall of stines. There was such a diverse selection of beer it was super impressive considering it's all made in house. Our server was Jackie and she was great considering she was a one man show for the day. Food was absolutely amazing. Food prices were more than fair considering you can get a full meal and beer for under 20, can't say the same with fast food options in Twin Falls. Food options were from the owners travels and they wanted to bring some of that flavor back home. We had the magic mountain fries for the table and wow- game changer because now I want to add bleu cheese crumbles to my fries moving forward. We also ordered the dierkes dip and a plain burger. Fun place with good beers Red, Amber, and good food. We went for lunch and had baked finger steaks that were tender and good. The beer cheese soup was on the specials board, it was potato soup with cheese, tasty. My husband tri-tip dip with coleslaw. It was tender and slaw delicious. I moved to Buhl about 3 years ago and just recently discovered Magic Valley Brewing. I've been there twice now. Very clean and a fun atmosphere. The same server was there both times, and she knows how to sell the menu! Very good food. We tried one of their burgers, and the meat balls are really good (my sister ordered it both times)! Their food quality is exceptional with high end ingredients. They make a brownie from one of their beers. Unbelievably good--it's huge so prepare to share! It was our first time in Buhl, we were staying not too far out of town and having driven all day, we were looking for a place to stretch out and enjoy a meal and we weren't disappointed. First off, they brew their own beer, that was an instant go to for me and I again, I wasnt disappointed. They make a dark IPA that I thought was phenomenal. Had I had a growler with me, I would have gladly taken some with us when we left. The food was excellent, nothing too fancy but well done and the staff welcoming and friendly . I don't recall what my wife had because I was to engrossed in the patty melt I ordered and the baked beer batter fries were delicious without being greasy. Stopped here after a hike and there were only 2 other customers. I was alone so I sat at the bar. The manager was friendly and so was the bartender. Turns out it was her daughter and her other daughter was working the kitchen. Next the entertainment came in, Brian a singer/guitar solo act. I tried the sage beer - they said it was made with sage and I should try it with OJ for a beermosa. I have to say it was pretty good both ways and I doubt you would find such a beer anywhere else. I had the cabbage and pork special which was also pretty good. Not like Irish fried cabbage with bacon, kind of like it but with pulled pork and they had 6 kinds of BBQ sauce on the side. I had a second beer, a black IPA - also good. The beer was good, the food was good but what really made it 5 stars for me was that I had a good time. The family running the place was welcoming, the entertainment was friendly and there was a good mix of locals and passers through. Everyone, at least those at the bar having a good time together. Yelp to the rescue. I took a trip to the Twin Falls area recently. It was my first time in this part of Idaho so I checked Yelp for a good place to have some dinner. Because of some very solid reviews and some cool pictures we decided to go to MV Brewering. What's to love: Comfort food, great service, and the root beer. Yes, the root beer is amazing. They make their own crème soda, root beer, and ginger ale. Root beer is not brown unless the maker adds tons of artificial stuff, this root beer is colored like an ale with a hint of green. It is pure and smooth, I wish they sold it in bottles or mini kegs. There hundreds of things to look at in the decorations around the restraint and bar. There is a very distinctive local's feel to this place especially when they have a band, but they are still welcoming to everyone. What is not to love: We couldn't find anything. read more

This would be brewery #157 for me. We were traveling through headed for Challis then into Montana and decided to try MVB since it was only 3 miles away from last nights stop. MVB isn't much to look at from out front but it's appearance belies the very good beers, service, and food to be found inside. MVB had two picnic tables out front and a nicely decorated taproom. We ended up sitting on the back patio area since we had the two puppies with us. We had the place to ourselves since we arrived at just after they opened at 1100. Heather was very attentive and friendly, as was the whole crew. The Cerveza Cauldron is a light ale that aged on tequila soaked wood chips. This was a great Cinco De Drinko beer. I could definitely get a light tequila aroma and flavor out of it. I might just pick up a little of this to go. Mosey On Red IPA had a little hop on the nose but was quite malty on the tongue. This is almost more a red ale than a red IPA for me. SWPFTD went with the Shoshone Paintbrush Red ale. This is a nice red ale which we both enjoyed. The Temperance Movement Porter is a nice dark beer. It had relatively mild flavor and would be a good session ale for me. El Diablo Corral IPA is a jalapeño flavored beer. Just a whole host of jalapeño on the nose and definite jalapeño flavor on the tongue. The flavor sat on the back of my mouth and stayed there. It wasn't overpowering though, even for someone like me who isn't big on jalapeños unless they are stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon and smoked. For chow I went with the Reuben sandwich with a side of the Irish Mac and cheese. The Irish Mac and cheese had chunks of corned beef in it along with peas. We ordered up a Scotch egg also abs they didn't skimp on the sausage. This was a great Scotch egg with nice spicy mustard. I highly recommend MVB. I would go out of my way to come in and have lunch and a beer here. 3 stars is a but generous.....one of our appetizers came out after our entrees were served. Like way after! The Pretzel itself was bomb! The cheese sauce that came with it was terrible!!! Worst I have had. The mustard was good though. The wings which we got after our entrees were awesome. We did the sweet heat and I'd highly recommend those. The beer I chose was really flat. Had no head to it at all. The sample cups did though so not sure on that. The fish n chips reminded me of some frozen fish sticks you pop in the oven....accept a little worse. Definitely do not order them! The hot dog with the barbeque fries was super bomb! Wish we did two of those instead of those fish sticks. Really liked the bbq fries. Just eat here! Trust me when I tell you this is some of the best tasting food I've ever had. We ordered the chicken pot pie and the MVB Special with steak fingers, mashed potatoes, corn and brown gravy. WOW is all I can say. I haven't had food this tasty at a restaurant in a long time. Holy cow was my food piping hot! Hubs and I came in last Thursday after dropping our kiddo at school. We'd never been, so figured we would try it out. I ordered the meatballs with mashed potatoes and gravy and a side of regular mac n cheese. Hubs ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and added grilled turkey and grilled tomato. For drinks, he stuck to water and I had the root beer. I'll start with the root beer. I'm sure it has many fans, but I was not expecting to have such a different taste than pretty much every other root beer I've tried. I might have liked it better had I not been expecting the more... common? flavor of rootbeer. It also left an aftertaste to it that I just wasn't a big fan of. Hubs enjoyed his sandwich and had absolutely no complaints there! The meatballs were good. I enjoyed that they asked if I needed them to be gluten free (I didn't, but it was still super nice). The gravy tasted very similar to packaged brown gravy, but I like that gravy, so no complaints. You can tell they use real/fresh potatoes. I would say there could have been a liiiitle more gravy, but I also love heavy amounts of sauces in my meals so I can't really have that as a complaint. And I'm sure had I asked for more, I could have gotten some. Man, though... that meal was HOT. Burnt my mouth a number of times, and was still piping hot by the end of the meal. The mac n cheese... it was creamy and the pasta was cooked well (not too mushy), but both my husband and I weren't a big fan of the cheese, whatever the kind it was. Ive been visiting family in Buhl/Idaho for years and have driven by this brewery countless times, always telling myself someday Ill stop by. Yesterday I finally had the chance and I was very impressed. The front room is very welcoming and warm, with a very nice bar, various high top tables, and nicely decorated walls. Vibe is very laid back and conversation flows well, but could use a little music in the background. Out front are a couple table and chairs. I really like the street level view with my brew. A very unique spot, unlike most places Ive ever been. The beer is next level. I am a cicerone, and everything I tasted made me smile. I am looking forward to drinking their Sour again, enough so I will probably be back today ha! Food was great, and that was the best BLT Ive had in years. I order cajun fries whenever I see them on a menu, and these are on point. Bartender and staff we met are awesome. Thanks for having us. As Idaho and Buhl inevitable grow in population and culture, I would look to Magic Valley Brewing to lead the way. They know what they are doing. This is very much a locals spot, so be kind. We were looking forward to stopping in for a few beers and dinner after reading online about this local brewery within walking distance of our motel. We started with an IPA and popcorn ale. Both were really good so we choice a flight next to try some of the porters and stouts. Sorry to say we should have stayed with the ales. We also tried the brew house meatballs and fish and chips. The brew house meatballs were really great, however the fish and chips were really little fish sticks and French fries. I highly recommend the meatballs, but stay away from the fish sticks. Nice little local brewery with friendly staff and atmosphere at first, until the stern, unsmiling owner came out and started confronting the two servers in front of everyone, and didn't leave. Unfortunately what started as a pleasant experience, ended in disappointment. read more

I wanted to love this place considering all the appealing options on the menu. I was also excited after reading other reviews that they make their own soda. You wouldn't know that otherwise though...it took a direct question to our waitress who appeared annoyed with who knows what. Root beer was weird... nothing like A&W like she compared it to, but that's fine. The cream soda was disgusting...tasted yeasty and hoppy...more beer than soda. A couple swigs was more than enough. I wonder if that is intentional or whether they may have dirty lines. I'd guess the former. Shrimp poor boy wasn't good at all...soggy, 80% coleslaw with a heavy horseradish flavor. Not a hint of NOLA. Pulled pork sandwich wasn't bad, but it was dry and cried for BBQ sauce. The beer battered fries were crunchy, seasoned and hot. They were great, but a meager portion. Mac and cheese was decent. Service was sllloooow and inattentive. I wouldn't come back, but leave believing it has potential. read more

My wife and were in Buhl to look at a house on 3/12/20. I like beer so when she mentioned there was a brewpub in Buhl I asked how it was rated and how many. With that information in hand we arrived at a little before 3:00 in the afternoon. As it turned out it was $3.00 pint Thursday so I had their IPA and their Jalapeno Pale Ale. Both were clean with decent head retention. The IPA was true to style and the JPA was very flavorful. I had their version of a French Dip and my wife had a corned beef something or other. Nothing is fried there, including their French fries. That said, what we had was delicious. By the way, their is no hamburger on the menu, but I have absolutely no complaints. read more

Came in for lunch on my Birthday. We were the 1st ones there, and the server was sort of awkward. I greeted the individual and got no response. Then immediately asked what I wanted. Keep in mind I was there only 2or the minutes, not a local, and hadn't even looked at the menu. I ended up ordering a burger and fries. Keep in mind it is a separate charge for burgers. And you get just as many fries and the free ones with the other sandwiches. Over all the burger was ok. It was cooked like 2 minutes too long for my liking. Making it a bit dry. We stopped by on our way to Sun Valley. It was a Thursday evening and they had a large private party that had taken over their patio. We sat inside and ordered a few flights of beer and food. The staff was very friendly, the beer was good and the food was so so. There was mix up on our bill and they couldn't provide us with detailed bill. We stopped in for lunch and a flight and I was super excited to try the shrimp poboy wrap. Sadly the woman basically refused to serve us. We waited and waited, then I asked for a menu and she rudely told me "just a minute" and busied herself chatting with other patrons and doing piddly tasks behind the bar. While traveling through Idaho on RV adventure we spent a couple days in Buhl Idaho. After a trip to the Shoshone Falls (highly recommend) we stopped to check out the local brewery offerings. We were thrilled with the beer (and I am not a beer drinker) and the food. We had two beer samples at the table and the guys liked all the beer. The jalapeño was a fun try for all. For my husband it was good as it was - for our friend it was a tad bit hot. Ended up putting a bit Clamato into them - the waitress said it takes on the taste of a Bloody Mary. Damn good Bloody Mary!! Everyone enjoyed their food. Two of the Grilled Cheese and bacon sandwiches were devoured - and proclaimed, "The best grilled cheese ever!" With three cheeses and thick bacon - well you can't go wrong. I had the shrimp po boy wrap and while i have never had one from the south - i will say it was wonderful as well. We also split an order of beer battered fries with pulled pork and they were excellent as well. The only disappointing thing about the food was the size of the fries as an appetizer. Charge a bit more - put more on the plate - people won't fuss. The service was great, we sat in the newer outdoor area and enjoyed the visit. read more
