This is a great place to have a beer, food, or even wine. The bar tender was a music lover like us and it made for some epic banter. we got a little sloshed and had to get a local hotel room. We will be back. Sit at the bar if you love a good conversation, and chat up the locals, for all you hints to do in the area. What a great place to relax

Yelp to the rescue. I took a trip to the Twin Falls area recently. It was my first time in this part of Idaho so I checked Yelp for a good place to have some dinner. Because of some very solid reviews and some cool pictures we decided to go to MV Brewering. What's to love: Comfort food, great service, and the root beer. Yes, the root beer is amazing. They make their own crème soda, root beer, and ginger ale. Root beer is not brown unless the maker adds tons of artificial stuff, this root beer is colored like an ale with a hint of green. It is pure and smooth, I wish they sold it in bottles or mini kegs. There hundreds of things to look at in the decorations around the restraint and bar. There is a very distinctive local's feel to this place especially when they have a band, but they are still welcoming to everyone. What is not to love: We couldn't find anything.

The food is awesome and the service is great! They're tucked in next to Plant Therapy on Main St and are definitely worth checking out! We had the finger steak poutine and the cottage pie. So, so good!

This would be brewery #157 for me. We were traveling through headed for Challis then into Montana and decided to try MVB since it was only 3 miles away from last nights stop. MVB isn't much to look at from out front but it's appearance belies the very good beers, service, and food to be found inside. MVB had two picnic tables out front and a nicely decorated taproom. We ended up sitting on the back patio area since we had the two puppies with us. We had the place to ourselves since we arrived at just after they opened at 1100. Heather was very attentive and friendly, as was the whole crew. The Cerveza Cauldron is a light ale that aged on tequila soaked wood chips. This was a great Cinco De Drinko beer. I could definitely get a light tequila aroma and flavor out of it. I might just pick up a little of this to go. Mosey On Red IPA had a little hop on the nose but was quite malty on the tongue. This is almost more a red ale than a red IPA for me. SWPFTD went with the Shoshone Paintbrush Red ale. This is a nice red ale which we both enjoyed. The Temperance Movement Porter is a nice dark beer. It had relatively mild flavor and would be a good session ale for me. El Diablo Corral IPA is a jalapeño flavored beer. Just a whole host of jalapeño on the nose and definite jalapeño flavor on the tongue. The flavor sat on the back of my mouth and stayed there. It wasn't overpowering though, even for someone like me who isn't big on jalapeños unless they are stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon and smoked. For chow I went with the Reuben sandwich with a side of the Irish Mac and cheese. The Irish Mac and cheese had chunks of corned beef in it along with peas. We ordered up a Scotch egg also abs they didn't skimp on the sausage. This was a great Scotch egg with nice spicy mustard. I highly recommend MVB. I would go out of my way to come in and have lunch and a beer here. Our third visit to MVB since 2016 and it just keeps getting better! MVB is a "must stop" on the way to Twin Falls for both food and beer and live music on weekends. When we're in the area we always stay at Miracle Hot Springs. Magic, miracles or both, you can find it all here in Buhl.

My husband and I wandered by this place after spending the day exploring Box Canyon. We decided to share a delicous sandwich with a name so crazy that I can't recall the name. There were 3 different kinds of meat. All the vegetables where very fresh. Our meal came with a side of yummy fries. Each of us ordered some beer (duh, can't go to a brewery without trying their beer, unless your weird). My pale ale was awesome!

One of the best breweries I've been to. The people there are awesome and really kind. There so nice it has me thinking about moving to Buhl, Idah. Great selection of beers all around; and Ive had my experience of beers through Washington and Oregon. A must stop if your traveling through.

Stopped in for lunch and loved this little place. I had the very yummy MVBLT with avocado. The service and atmosphere were great. Good beer- we enjoyed the blonde and IPA. Pulled pork BBQ fries were a hit too. The also make home made sodas :) read more

Ventured here on our road trip to Utah! We got the soda tasters for the kids and that was really fun for them! Husband got the flight and did not have a beer he didn't like...this is an amazing thing! Food we had was tastey, pretzels with cheese, Rueben Sammie, turkey wrap with pesto. I would like to give you a food review, but the service was so awful that I never had the opportunity to find out. Not only were we completely ignored, when we asked a waitress for help, she sighed and said she would "be right back" 15 minutes later we gave up. I would like to say that they were busy and I would just try again later, but there were very few people there. I can't see myself returning. read more

Driving through from Colorado, where I'm pretty dammed spoiled with breweries, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I was beyond pleasantly surprised. The Chile beer (jalapeño) was only the second Chile beer I've ever had that was well done. The red ipa was top notch and very unique. Well balanced, which seems to be a challenge for most breweries. To simplify things, every non-dark beer I was very impressed with, and I'm a snooty/picky bastard. The bourbon aged imperial was pretty weak and lacking in the robustness I would expect from such a beer. The stout was Ok, but nothing worth the trip for. However, I don't want to end on a bad note. I need to get pretty picky to find any flaws. This is definitely a gem worth making a side trip to if living near by or traveling down 84. Additionally, great atmosphere, great people read more

Wonderful people and great beer! Stopped and had lunch in Buhl! Try the brat and the P.O. boy shrimp wrap. Beers were great esp the blondes. Very nice spot and good place to spend some quality time! read more

This place was amazing. One of the best grilled cheese I've ever had, perfectly crispy. Beer was fantastic, but the real win of he night was their cider. Slightly sour, not your typically overly sweet cider, best I've ever had. Kids enjoyed the enormous hotdogs and delicious icecream with chocolate and caramel sauce. It's enough to make me wish I was a local. read more

Great small town brew pub with delicious food. Many menu choices are made with locally sourced ingredients. I had the grilled cheese with bacon and it was fantastic. I paired it with their jalapeño IPA. Wow! My husband had a bratwurst sandwich and we could not believe how large it was. YUM! read more

The husband & I decided to make the drive to Buhl specifically to visit Magic Valley Brewing. We're pretty serious beer people (beer nerds who plan all our vacations around breweries) and couldn't believe that we'd never been here, or even heard about it, as it's only a mere two hours away (which is considered pretty darn close-by in Idaho where a two hour drive is practically next door). I'd never been to Buhl, didn't even know where it was, but I have been to numerous breweries & this one will definitely bring me back to Buhl in the future. Magic Valley Brewing has one of the most consistently good beer lineups I have ever sampled anywhere. We tried every beer on tap and every one was good, a few were even truly excellent. The fact that it took us a year to find this place & that they don't have a steady stream of "Beer Nerds" stink'n up the place is a darn shame as this place is quality. And they have food! Really good food and apparently homemade sodas as well, although I didn't sample those 'cause beer. Seriously. To top it all off the staff was super friendly & informative. We got to hear all about the different beers & the "secret" behind the El Diablo Bites, and were never once made to feel like interloping tourists. So make the trip, have the El Diablo Bites (if available) & try all the beer, you won't regret it. read more

Great food and super friendly wait staff! The Magic Mountain fries are super and really unique. They have bacon, green onion, bleu cheese sauce and crumbles. Awesome! The sandwiches were good, with soft fresh hoagie buns and homemade au jus. We both had the homemade baked mac and cheese as a side, what a nice change from fries. They have a rewards program, I signed up and will be back! read more

Wonderful service and the food is delicious! It's all home cooked and BAKED, not fried, so it does take a tiny bit longer to make. It is, however, well worth the wait! Very small, hometown feel and full of heart. Highly recommend! Wasn't drinking this visit, but purchased a couple beers to go. The root beer is to die for! read more

Fabulous small town brewery pub serving amazing food and beer. We had the grilled cheese sandwich (comes with bacon!) and the buhlfalo wrap, Mac and cheese and fblue cheese fries for the sides. Amazing food, paired with Winter Citrus IPA. 5 stars all the way, and great service, super friendly local food and beer joint!!! Worth a long detour off the freeway just to experience! read more

I tried the new Chicken Pot Pie at Magic Valley Brewing and -no exaggeration- it was the best I have ever had in my life! It featured tender chicken pieces in a light sauce with fresh veggies inside a perfect homemade crust. Delicious, especially with a flight (four) of their excellent beer choices and some classic vinyl albums playing in the background on a vintage record player. (Visitors are encouraged to bring in records to play on Thursday evenings.) It's all good food and good fun! read more

The food is AMAZING and the beer is great too. So yummy!! Lori had a ton of fun with us and making us laugh so hard. We had to come through town, took a small detour for a good priced hotel/motel from our road trip to Montana, and we found this little brewery and it was so fun and so yummy so we just had to come back through town again and stay overnight again so we could come here for more of their amazing food, beer, and of course the razing from Lori, but it was her day off. :(. lol. Their Mac and Cheese is something you can't miss out on!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! read more

I have not had a good idaho microbrew since moving to idaho 6 years ago. The other Idaho microbrews have been pretty "meh". I had the basalt porter and tasted the rock chuck imperial and the el Diablo IPA and they were all delicious. The food was also delicious. They only had one waitress working but she stayed on it. I'm so excited that we had some good local beer, we will be back! read more

Nice and homey atmosphere. Husband I split a sandwich which was as plenty. The Basalt Stout was very pleasant, the BlueHeart Blonde was as refreshing on a warm day, and we have to come back for the Rockhound Root Beer. read more

This place is awesome! The MacGregor Reuben and grilled cheese were great sandwiches and I liked the el Diablo bites a lot. Mac and cheese was really tasty too. Beer was solid. 10 unique beers on tap when I was there. Tried them all (flights of as many as you want) and enjoyed them all. Liked the stout and Mosey On IPA the most, but jalepeno IPA was also really tasty (probably need to like jalepenos). Definitely worth stopping in. Will be back! read more

Beer is really good, food is ok. Appetizers need to have more substance. A plate of fries is rather small, six dollars for two smallish pretzels is too much. My wife is a vegetarian so not many choices here, but if you like meat... All in all not a bad brewery. read more

Visiting my brother in Buhl, I visited Magic Valley Brewing with my sister and two of my adult children. The kids got two beer flights and loved most of them, at least enough to order their favorites. I'm not a beer lover, so ordered a very drinkable Chardonnay. We were offered a short tour of the facility, and enjoyed seeing their mom & pop operation. Staff was delightful -- friendly and well-informed about their products. We had a wonderful time here, and would go out of our way to visit again! read more

As we travel, my wife and I search out brewpubs and at Magic Valley, we found a gem. The IPA we had was excellent, medium IBU with lots of flavor from Citra & Mosaic hops. A taster of their red ale was equally pleasing. My wife chose a hot dog Chicago style while I had the bratwurst from a local market. Both were excellent. The welcoming owner was at the bar and in the kitchen and relayed the history of the brewery. On her recommendation we stopped at the local creamery for ice cream, delicious. We left Buhl fulfilled. read more

Rich has been home brewing since the early 90's. We poured our first pint April 29,2016. Spent the next few months working out the menu and had the Grand Opening June 26, 2016!

We wanted to send them back but it took so long to get them the first time that we just gave up and didn't eat them. I honestly can't understand how this place is so popular with the locals. I guess the slow service would be forgivable if the beer were good, but honestly it is absolutely the worst beer I've ever had at a craft brewery. We tried three varieties, and all were insipid and over-hopped. We tried the cider (from another brewer) and left it unfinished on the table. We will not be going back.

Great Beers! I can honestly say that I could enjoy drinking any one of them, even the lighter beers, but I especially enjoy the Black Trout IPA, the Basalt Stout, and the El Diablo Corral (Jalapeno IPA). Food.
