Decided to try this place on a recommendation from a co-worker. I was in town for the week working. I decided to get the 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket. Also had beans and potato salad. When my food arrived I could immediately tell it had been reheated in the microwave. Even with that the ribs were tender and tasted pretty good. The Bad- the brisket was dry and because it was reheated in the microwave it was way overcooked. Dark dark gray color with no juice in it what so ever. It was flavorless and very underwhelming. Stopped in here because I'm on a mission to check out all the BBQ places down here. Cowboy's is definitely on the list. The dining room was packed and it's not fancy. We're talking styro-foam cups and plastic forks/spoons but don't let that stop you. The BBQ here is pretty darn tasty. I sampled brisket sandwich with coleslaw. The meat was perfectly cooked and I loaded it down with the spicy BBQ sauce. My uncle was unusually quiet as he didn't make a peep while he was working on his 1/2 rack of ribs. I eat here very often in fact most people will tell you this is my favorite place in town. I always order the nachos. Last week I ordered them and was really disappointed. Hardly any cheese and received pork when I ordered beef. I did not complain because hard times and people have an off day. However, tonight I ordered the same thing beef nachos. I got home after a long day ready to dive into my dinner but what I found broke my heart. The wrong meat, no cheese to speak of, and REALLY stale chips so bad I could barely chew into them. This large nacho is going into the trash.. I should have just thrown $20 in the waste bin as that is what I have done with the last two nachos. I have tried tonight to get in touch with the store via phone with no success. I know hard times but please don't sell food like this. It will ruin your business and we don't want that! read more

We frequent Cowboys and love the food. The service is lightning fast, very courteous, and attentive. The BBQ is consistently delicious and very reasonably priced. The sauces are tasty as well. You should seriously consider ordering BBQ and sides for take out or your next tailgate too. read more
