We went in a group of 3 to the West Cornwall location for ebike rentals. We loved every minute of the experience. The customer service was excellent. She took her time fitting us to the bike, explaining how they worked and the route and allowing us to test ride. The rental for two hours was $60 per person or half day (4 hours) for $70 per person. We enjoyed the quiet ride along Housatonic river. The roads the route was along had very little traffic. We saw many people walking. We also got to enjoy the covered bridge and the bridge on Water street as well as the waterfalls. It was just saw a lovely day. 10/10 recommend this rental location and the scenic route. read more

Well worth the trip from NYC to buy two ebikes!!! They carry inventory of a several manufacturers in different sizes, so my husband and I were able to try several bikes to check which bike had the right fit for us. They are also around the corner from a hill, so we were able to test how the bikes felt and performed on an incline. The staff and owners were extremely knowledgeable. They went above and beyond. Visiting from Ca on a cool, but not cold October day. Located in a beautiful setting, and the staff were great in helping us get set up. They fully explained the operation of the bike, provided us with a detailed map, and we were off! we covered over thirty miles in the next four hours. The electric bikes are peddle assisted, so it feels more like an actual bike ride instead of just turning the throttle and going, but using only as much of your leg power as you want. The trails were not filled with cars and felt safe, mostly flat with a few undulations. Highly recommended if you are in the area. read more

This place is a gem! Owners (Bob & Meg) are super sweet. They care about ensuring your safety and that you have a good experience. This location is adjacent to a bunch of fun backroads and cute towns. We were visiting family in Lakeville and we passed by the ebike shop on a rainy day. We (four of us) returned today to rent bikes - 2 of us were first time e-bike riders. 3 of us are 59+. After a few practice runs on the quiet road by the side of the store we were ready to roll. The most fun I had in a while!! The owner was great at explaining how electric bikes work as it was my first time. We didn't make a reservation but they were able to squeeze us in. The scenery was outstanding and the ride was so much fun. I only wish I had more time on the bike, so highly recommend reserving in advance especially during the weekends. Just had an A++ adventure renting Ebikes from Covered Bridge Electric Bike in Cornwall, CT. There were 14 of us renting. We did a relatively flat ride on back roads (some dirt but again, flat and very manageable). It was a great simplistic ride in the country with gorgeous views and a back to nature feel. Most of us were 50 + and no one had an issue with the 35 mile round trip route (however there are many shorter routes to choose from). If you aren't familiar with an EBike they make everything possible. Too hard, too steep? Kick in a gear and you have electric power to assist you. We all thought this was one of the best days out we've had in a long time. Covered Bridge Electric Bike is a class act operation...great instruction, high end bikes/helmets, covid compliant and just plain nice people! Can't wait to come back and do another ride! read more

We rented electric bikes for the first time at this shop, and as newbies, the owners provided instructions on how to work the power assist controls, as well as a map to some nice routes to explore. We had a lot of fun easily pedaling up inclines that would have played havoc with our knees if we had to tackle them with our regular bikes. My wife, who has less experience biking than I do, was finally able to -- with the assist of an e-bike -- keep pace with me as we rode. That, and the lovely terrain, made my day. The owner was knowledgeable and did a nice job explaining the features of e-bikes in their shop. When we decide to purchase an e-bike, we will certainly be coming back. read more

Most enjoyable bicycle ride I've had in a long time. I was a little apprehensive at first about renting for two hrs as I have hip and back problems, after talking to Meg and Bob I decided to try it. 20 miles later I felt like I could keep riding, and the next day I was fine. After the ride I talked to Bob about purchasing, he is extremely knowledgeable, he discussed the differences in the bicycles for sale and he even let me test ride a few. I plan to go back next Spring to purchase a bicycle from them. read more

I talked with both Meg and Bob before we rented our e-bikes. Both were very knowledgeable, friendly, and honest about what we could expect and how much we would be charged. Meg met us before we took the bikes out and gave us a full rundown on how to operate the bikes and then watched us take our first turn out on them. After that, we were good to go. The instructions on following the path were extremely thorough, and the bikes were FUN, in all caps. We came back with nearly fully charged bikes because we still wanted a bit of a workout. For those that ride often, headwinds on e-bikes are non-existent. Afterwards we visited with Meg and she gave us a lot of advice about e-bikes and places to go to in the area. A great day! read more

Wow what a great place Bob and Meg are the owners and we're a pleasure to meet get lessons and the trail ride the recommended it. I originally thought electric bicycles people would just cruise on the and didactic have to pedal. Boy was I wrong you do have to pedal and yes you can do some coasting but you will use up your battery which is not good so pedal and enjoy some coasting. Needless I have a different view on these bicycles. I highly recommend coming here and look at all the bickering the have for sale and rent we had a wonderful afternoon ride 32 miles they do have shorter rides but the trail was awesome read more

I was in the market for a new electric bike and was doing a little research about what my options were. Had my mind set on couple of bikes, but due to the pandemic and the people trying to find an alternate mean of transportation, all the bike stores in my neighborhood and city (NYC) were either too overwhelmed or didn't care much about answering any simple questions I had about their ebikes stock and specifications, let alone scheduling a test ride. Then I found the CoverBridgeebike shop in CT ( which is about 90 miles away from me). I've called them maybe 20 minutes before their closing time on a Sunday afternoon, and I was greeted by a very polite voice on the other end, which answered all the questions I had, without being even a slight pushy. After hanging up, I've received another phone call, from the owner, which was also very pleasant speaking with. Long story short ( well, I guess it's too late for that now), second day I've decided to pay them a visit. Took the drive there, and two hours later, and couple test drives, I can call myself the new owner of an awesome Yamaha electric bike. ( They're one of the very few Yamaha authorized electric bike dealers in the tri-state area). The decision was made easier by the owner as well, which had a professional attitude and very knowledgeable. Will definitely return if I need another bike, and will recommend you to give them a shot, try a bike and maybe get one for yourself. On the side note, if you're thinking which brand is right for you( there are plenty to choose from) try a Yamaha bike and you won't be disappointed. read more
