They said it should be ready by Thursday and I told them that it was supposed to be done the previous Thursday. He looked again and asked Dif my bike was a grey trek and did it have "some sort of tool" next to the water bottle cage. I told him it was grey and had a bike pump there and he said "Oh, it's ready". No one called and I sort of expect a bike repair shop to know what a pump is. Came to pick it up and they rung me up. The $89 tuneup was 189 because they replaced a bunch of parts. He seemed unsurprised that they didn't call to ask about the extra charges and said "we always call" which I pointed out was clearly not the case. There was $40 in extra labor and honestly considering the issues of saying my bike wasn't ready and then that it was, and not having called me to ask about extras or to let me know that it was ready, I would have credited that $40 back if I owned this store. The work seems like it was well done but this isn't the way to run a business.

I wanted to do a tiny training triathlon at Winding Trails and wasn't able to borrow or rent a…read moremountain bike. I called up Ridgeline and the owner Paul offered to take a look at my old clunker mountain bike from the 90s so that I could participate in the race, last minute. Not only did they get the bike up to speed, quickly, with very little notice, so that I could bike the 3 miles later that evening, but both Paul and the technician, Gordon, were super supportive, and offered really valuable insight and encouragement, which I very much appreciated, as a newbie to mountain biking. THANK YOU PAUL AND GORDON for helping me pull off my first triathlon. Both with technical support and expertise, but also moral support and advice. I did just fine! More to come, in future. It looks like they want to lock out their neighborhood customers and limit it to only Bikes they sold them. I had the need for a new brake pad to be installed and was told they didn't touch any other bikes unless they sold them into their shop. They told me 1) too heavy (although I have had service 2x before), that they didn't want to get into a job and have it cost 7-10X of the cost. I even offered to have them call me before proceeding or even sign a hold harmless agreement but it boils down to they want to squeeze out any brands they didn't sell. The person was apologetic for this position and said if I got stuck to call him back but no promises. That sent me down the street to another place who I will post a review. Bottom line is I took it to another place in Vernon (Pedal Power) and they did it fast plus a tune up for 99 dollars.. Steve at Pedal Power is wonderful if you are in the same bind. I would buy anything in the future from them because they see business as a long term relationship. I was very disappointed. I will post the other review with the second shop as well. I gave them 2 stars because I feel that they at least may have helped me but I don't want to beg for someone to service a very easy install that took 30 min.

Charlie took me through several brands and models on my first visit, and set me up with a list of bikes to try. A few days ago when the weather was cold, and dank out and rather dreary we rolled in to try them out. Such a happy to help crew, while I took a bike out, they set the next one up and had it ready for me to take it out next, and so on. I was so thankful it cut down on the over all outdoors time that day, glad they didn't mind the cleanup.... I avoided every puddle I saw fellas So with that in mind I narrowed my choice down to 1, but I still had 2 more bikes to ride elsewhere..... so I chose to wait instead of leaving with it that day. I called this morning and they had their bike fitter there as well as a full staff ready to meet mine and fellow customers needs and zero wait!!! I was fitted quite proper!! From the well educated and completely patient staff to stocked shop these guys are top notch!!! Can't wait to try a group ride with your crew at least once, but I'm sure I'll see you on Strava!!! We started off going towards the river front (which was beautiful) and from the boathouse we biked into the old Colt factory, stopping in at the Thomas Hooker brewery. Fantastic little spot to stop- it was game day so there was a lot of enthusiasm and energy. We biked through Bushnell park and eventually ended up in West Hartford at Blue Back Square before turning back into the city. The bikes were perfect throughout, well maintained and comfortable to zip around in. Cost wise, its an incredible deal. 20$ a bike for the day and 1$ bike locks. Renting through BiCi was such a great way to spend a day in Hartford. Great service. Great bikes. Great advice. 12/10 recommend.

Westridge Shops is a small plaza located in Avon, CT. There were plenty of parking and the building…read morelooks sophisticated. It shares a traffic light with Fresh Market and other businesses, across the street. It's also located on the busy route 44. Currently, the businesses in this plaza are: Fancy Nail Spa Jimmy Sea's Pan Pasta Wild Birds Radiance Spa H&R Block Avon Indian Grill Sola Salon It's a busy plaza but it's not overwhelming to drive in and find parking . The plaza is clean and nicely maintained; it's easy to get in to and out of as well. I usually pick up Indian food from Avon Indian Grill. Overall, it's close to everything and in a convenient location.
