Food not good ( cold)

As I start these I'm pretty much upset , disappointed with these place ( skilled nursing place) my mother in law was there for 2 1/2 wks and that was enough for her. Her first roommate was a bit nosy , my mother in law was by the window and she wanted to dim down the shades but the lady said no ‍ my mother in law had surgery on her eyes and the lights hurted her, she let it go. But every time the therapy came or someone to talk to her that lady always put her cent in ‍‍ when her son and I went she was beening nosy with me I completely ignored her ( she stayed quiet afterwards) her son didn't like that and he spoke to the nurse and she( my mother in law ) was moved... during the move my mother in laws cream went missing ( they replace it) my mother in law wanted to let it be but nope they have to be hell accountable snd I reported... the lady that help didn't let my mother in law go back and that she had gotten everything ( yea right she left a few thing there that I got when I went the next day ) everything was fine for a few days until one evening my mother in law put the light for her new roommate cause she was in pain and that lady didn't have the button close, they came but they never turn off the button.. a cna had the nervy to shake my mother in law out of her sleep ( 3:00 in the morning) she didn't tap She literally shook her feet ( which hurted ) my mother in law asked her ( what's going on) the cna walked away but came back and said ( you called me ) my mother in law said ( no I didn't ) the cna said ( your light was on) my mother in law at these time was mad( you guys don't turn them off when you came last night) then as the day went on the roommate was not doing well ( she had fallen and I guess she had a bad injury) when my mother in law avocation for her ( she was in pain ) some cna made a jester " oh she's not all there" wow not cool ( what if at that time her relatives came in and seen that ? ) they left the curtain open for my mother in law to keep a eye on her ( wow excuse me, my mother in law an't no one caregiver ) that morning my mother in law coming back from therapy she had her lunch and she went to brush her teeth her brush went missing she asked her cna she help my mother in law look in her room ( how would it be in her room when in that morning it was in the bathroom????) I could go on and on but I do want to address that most of the breakfast lunch or dinners here are not too good too many empty calories , too much sugar when my mother in law declined her diner ( one evening) the cna had the nerve to say " your not in a restaurant " wow what a nerve I was glad the day came for my mother in law to come home, home is a lot better then there I did my research before my mother in law was discharged from the hospital and seriously I thought these place was a nice place ( it reminded me of the building of San Diego state) looks could be deceiving...never again will I bring anyone here, nope

My Dad has been at MesaView for a little over a week. I can't say enough good things about this…read morewonderful place. They have the best of a board and care and the best of a facility and none of the bad of those places. I've spent at least 5 hours a day there every day and the staff have shown over and over that they really care. They have made efforts above and beyond my expectations to make my Dad feel at home, cared for, and even loved. They have also made me and my family feel at home when we are there. Dad's dementia got so much worse that we could no longer care for him. They worked with us to get him in and comfortable so quickly after a fall at home that made his needs dramatically worse. They moved him closer than we had arranged so they could keep a closer eye on him and be quicker to help him. I love that there are plenty of people there that just need assisted living too. The variety is so good for him. The pet tortoise there provides Dad with entertainment that suits him. They have activities programmed that are wonderful too. The grounds are beautiful. Gigi and Iliana run this place so well. Wonderful staff, wonderful facilities, wonderful price, wonderfully administrated, and the meals look amazing. They did stock my Dads favorites when he did not want to eat and now he is eating again. I met the owner, Jeff, and he seems to be genuinely kind too. Every day I feel more and more confident that he is in the best place I could ever hope for. Thank you to Gigi, Iliana, Sonia, Chris, Carlos, Daniel, Carina, Alia, Maria and the rest of the staff for your patience and care! I hope to learn the names of more of you. It's just this place is well staffed and I'm still learning names.

My beautiful mother has been a resident at MesaView Senior Assisted Living for almost two years…read more My mother has dementia. Having to place my mom into a facility was a difficult and painful decision. But my mother needed care to keep her safe, more care than I was capable of safely providing her. So in dealing with the guilt of this decision to place her in a facility, I feel beyond blessed to have found MesaView Senior Assisted Living. To begin, Genoveva was warm, understanding, reassuring and welcoming. It was a rough time to move her, as it was also during COVID. But, Genoveva made the move seamless, in doing everything to make my mother feel safe and comfortable, as well as us. The facility is beautiful! An inviting and renovated room to call her own (we decorated with her personal belongings). A fantastic large open yard for her to be outside and enjoy, which was important for her and to us. There is even a large turtle that roams freely, as well as birds that sing, to put a smile on all the residents faces. The facility is smaller, cozy and more charming than a larger facility. I never feel like my mother will be confused or lost among too many people; I have observed how she smiles as she recognizes the people there (even with her dementia). The staff is absolutely incredible! The staff are always helpful, professional, kind, warm and friendly to the resident's and their needs, as well as the families. You can always hear them cheerfully greeting the residents by name even when just walking by. They are fantastic in their communication with me about medications and any concerns I or they may have about my mother. They are available 24/7 for any of your questions or concerns. Let me add, they did a fantastic job for the resident's safety during COVID times. The food...they strive and take pride in providing very healthy meal plans for the residents, with respect for meeting individual's needs as well. I am so VERY grateful for the amazing staff, they are truly the best!!! Now that Covid is relaxing guidelines, more activities are opening up for the residents and their families at MesaView. They have a calendar of daily activities available for the resident's enjoyment. They also plan special holiday family days, which are always lovely to participate in. I could go on forever about the many good things MesaView Senior Assisted Living has to offer. I feel blessed and happy my mother is safely in their care. I more than highly recommend MesaView Senior Assisted Living to anyone that wants their loved one in a place that feels like home.

The landscaping, the parking lot, the lobby, the hallways, the activity rooms, the dining hall, the theater room, the library, the sundeck and garden were all impeccably organized and clean. I was blown away with how friendly the staff is and how long they have been there (some staff members have been there 15+ years!). I met a few residents as well and they are so happy living there... It really is a wonderful, warm, cozy, elegant and beautiful place for family members to get the quality care they need while building new friendships and memories! I had originally opted to have her live with me, but after a few months, it was clear that I was not prepared to give her the care or safety that she deserved, but I was also hesitant due to the cost restrictions that are implied when talking about care homes. Sungarden Terrace truly was a blessing in every sense of the word, the cost wasn't near what I thought it was going to be and my Grandmother did an incredible job adjusting. She has a made a group of friends and regularly refers to them as her and the "hens". I believe the constant and healthy social interactions have improved her dementia as she is notably sharper when I'm talking to her, I oftentimes forget that she's suffering from dementia. Staff is in incredible, firendly... and I mean there just isn't enough that can be said about this place, my grandmother is happy and healthy and that's all I could ask for.

This is a 6 bed, cozy home in a residential neighborhood that provides both senior and memory care. There was a feeling of belonging, family and genuine caring for the residents. Looking back on that day, I had no idea what we had come across with Casa Primavera - these folks are amazing! I remember talking with my sister right after the visit - we both agreed Casa Primavera was special and the right choice for Mom. My mom was at Casa Primavera for 2 years before she passed away. As her dementia increased, she needed more care and it was provided, yes the cost stayed the same. That was different from where Mom had been previously. Mom had to go to the hospital - while visiting her, Rudy (one of the caretakers) walked in and Mom lit up like a candle! I was pleasantly surprised to see him. What other facility does that? That is one of many examples where these folks go way beyond to take care of their residents. If you are looking for a Board & Care home, I highly recommend Casa Primavera.
