It was easy to make the decision to move my parents in because there is only a small move-in community fee ($1k) that is sometimes waived all together. Pricing is for studios, 1 Bed or 2 Bed units. And it's extremely flexible in that you only have to give 30 days notice to vacate without any further charges. The activities are well organized- a great balance between social events, physical activities, mental challenges. Top picks include smoothie socials, bingo, chair yoga, coffee and doughnuts. The first phase was to arrange a 24 hour care schedule for eight days so her husband could travel east to see his family. Kira began with an in-home observation and her assessment was an accurate reflection of my Mom's current condition and her likes and dislikes. This formed the basis for the care plan and was educational for our family. Kira is a true professional in every sense of the word. She understands dementia and Alzheimers because she has a great deal of professional experience. Her insights proved to be invaluable. I applaud everyone at Avocado Post Acute for a wonderful job well done. So here is what happened. One of my close people came down with COVID-19 and was sent to Avocado Post Acute for treatment. The commendable staff, shout out to Rick (RT) and Nora (Nurse), for being great! My family member said that these two were especially informed and very very professional. Not only were they phenomenal but the facilities were similarly great. I don't understand all the negativity in some of the reviews, but from the grounds, treatment, staff, management to service, everything was top notch. I'm just saying, if I had to come down sick, Avocado Post Acute would definitely be my place to go.
