Stayed true and got a classic with provolone. I had one of these twenty years ago in Philadelphia proper and I will say this is the best I've had since. The Classic is a truly yummy sandwich. The melted mix of meat, cheese, and onions is outstanding. The bread was soft and held the sandwich together nicely. Excellent. The fries are really good and you absolutely need these. You can always tell this because the meat had a nice texture and was not overly salty, but instead as I stated seasoned and cooked perfectly. Additionally, the fries were well cooked, crisp and hot. They take care to keep the oil fresh and clean, so the fries taste like fries instead of old dirty oil. As an added bonus he even treated my pup to a small dish of ice cream which she enjoyed on a hot day. Fortunately, we showed up a little after the lunch rush and was able to spend a few minutes talking about the business and baseball and our combined hate of the dreaded Dodgers. That is so good the consistency stayed and the amount of meat and cheese was a good amount as I remember. The bread is the best!. Great experience all around. I live only 12 minutes south in Illinois and had the craving over the weekend to have another. I returned and got the same awesome 7" Club Sub and a 7" Italian Special. Both didn't disappoint.
