Moving back to our hometown of Racine, Wisconsin there are numerous Italian restaurants that serve very good pizza. I love to support local and new entrepreneurs. We ordered a large cheese/Italian sausage/mushroom pizza and all of us agreed it was a phenomenal pizza!!! So much so we are going back this week to eat there again and ordet that unbelievable pizza! I can say that Marinos will be one of our go to places moving forward! I can't wait to try other items on their menu too! The atmosphere is clean and well decorated. Our wait person was attentive. We were greeted with a smile and a welcoming greeting! I thought the prices were reflective on the quality of ingredients being served! I would highly, highly recommend Marino's as a wonderfully delicious addition to the city of Racine!

The enchiladas were filling and so well presented and tasty I can't imagine going anywhere else in the future. The salsa was smoky and perfectly spiced. The margarita was well priced and did not skimp on taste. Definitely worth the trip.

It's a classic drive-in experience, for better or worse. I'm not going to say it's exactly pleasant to sit in a hot car surrounded by other hot cars spewing exhaust, but it is what it is... I personally wouldn't mind a few additional tables scattered around instead of just the two. Service is prompt and they have a menu that, especially in today's economic climate, feels exceptionally priced, so much so that it encourages you to order a bevy of items just to try them out. If you're a fellow Kenosha-frequenter, or just stopping in for the first time, definitely check out Big Star! Grab a sampler and head over to the lake to enjoy.

Also, be careful on Greek Night at the Golden Acres. This is more "Sad but True" than "Gyro of the Day". The staff was friendly and it was served promptly, and blandly. The meat seemed like it was kept in a steamer. No crispy charred bits, not enough seasoning, and served on a powdery pita right out of the bag! And why not use red onion instead of that bland white or yellow onion? My platter was mess of sub-par ingredients. To quote Tina Turner... "we don't need another Gyro..." if you're going to make this garbage. Two stars as the service was good, and so was the Feta and Olives on the salad. It's only a "Juke Box Gyro" if all of the other songs were by Nickleback and Daughtry! Tony Orblando! The gyro sauce had flavor like sour cream. They probably had a lawsuit when they tried calling it Tzatziki. It would be a crime if they did. No no no no!!! Don't go! To quote the Foo Fighters... "There goes my Gyro...", right in the trash.

This business has a pretty expansive menu including lots of Hispanic food - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service: Just okay. Family owned business, but the people never seem to have any enthusiasm. I've dined in the restaurant a few times, but a few days ago I checked Google to see if they were open and they were, so I went to dine in. When I arrived at the restaurant; however, they had a sign that said it was carry out only beginning at 4pm til close. They also had a limited menu. I ordered then asked if I could wait inside for my food due to the cold weather and was told 'no'. I was given a buzzer to take to my car with me so I could be notified when my food was ready. When I got the notification that my food was ready, I went inside to get it and was immediately greeted at the door by the employee with the bag of food as if I wasn't even allowed to go inside and check the content inside the bag. Had I known I would have been treated that way or that there was no dining inside after a certain time, I would have ate elsewhere that evening. Value: comparable to other Hispanic diners in the area. Ambiance: facility needs renovations. Private parking lot can hold approx 12 cars. Lighting outside the facility could be improved.
