I shopped in the store on Sunday morning. There were nice specials in the bakery and deli depts. A little disappointed when I went to the cashier to check out. There was no thank you, no eye contact etc. from Jasmine the cashier. She was busy talking with her coworker that was standing beside her. I would like to think that maybe she was being trained. read more

I used to go to Festval for a few specific sale items and really liked the delicatessen items and the hot food items like the chicken and sides. I stopped by afew weeks ago at 3:30 and the hot food area was closed. I asked about the chicken I specifically went there for. The said they closed the hot bar at 2:00 but would not give me a reason why. I went again today at 1:30 and again it was closed. The delicatessen boss was rude and said that was too bad. I went to Piggily Wiggly and although it was $1.00 moe I saved $1.50 a pound on potato salad. Most all prices are higher at Festival it is not worth the extra drive to go to Festval and receive bad service from their employees and not get the items I went for. You have lost my business. read more

Their meat department is absolute horrible. Customer service is a joke. Racine store sold me 4 pounds of wings. The wings were behind the display cases, so I could not see them. When I got home, there were 47 drum pieces and 3 flats. I called and complained. I was lied to over the phone. I will never set foot in the store again and am advising everybody that I know to do the same. read more

I was at festival foods in Racine Wisconsin today and there is a sign asking customers to exit through the EXIT DOOR on the far west end of the store. I came in at the MAIN ENTRANCE, east end of the store, and parked by the MAIN ENTRANCE and it's very inconvenient to leave through the door at the other end of the store. This is TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! not to mention customers with mobility issues having to walk 3 or 4 rows of cars over and down the road back to there cars. I've never seen anything like this anywhere else. I should be able to come into the store and exit the store though the same doors. read more

This grocery store & Publix are my two all time favorite grocery stores! The selection is great, especially in the deli/pre-made foods department. They have a huge variety of various kinds of foods. A personal favorite is their homemade potato salad. Everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful (at least when I went). read more

This food is too expensive. They have a wide selection of fresh food. There is a place in back where you can eat hot foods they've prepared. It's just expensive. I've tried several of their dips including the smoked salmon, chicken, and taco dips. That taco dip is some of the best I've ever had! They include green onions and it's spicy. Not, "Oh no, we should have ordered mild" spicy just, "MMMM yum what's in there?!!" spicy. I actually went on a Tuesday and the a la carte line featured a taco Tuesday theme. It was all okay. There was guacamole but no chips. I live in Texas. Guac is not just a condiment. It's a meal if you do it right. I asked for chips and the coordinator seemed offended and proud of the things she'd already selected for the a la carte line. Okay then! The way it works is you pick what you want from the buffet style selections, pack em up, weigh and pay...too much. If you're looking for fresh food, I would recommend a visit because you can get almost anything there! You can have lunch there. You could cater any event using only their food if you're willing to pay the price! It's got more of a Whole Foods price point though and I prefer Trader Joe's. read more

Great bakery and selection of foods. Deli is especially generous with the samples (they gave me four meatballs!) which was lovely. They also have a wide array of healthy, organic snacks. Adjacent to the festival is a liquor section and they always have a good deal going on -- I got a free tumbler and ice cube set on my last purchases. read more

My experience has been all over the years since they opened; Most everything over priced except the same old leader items that everyone else does. Rancid shrimp in the fresh meat and seafood section. Deli food that is mediocre at best and tastes like garbage typically. Do yourself a favor and shop at a place like Woodmans and save 10 to 40% overall on your yearly grocery bill. read more

I like this store and the people that work there. Most are friendly and helpful. However I was in today and purchased milk with an expired sell by date. This is concerning since I have had it happen before. I guess it's shame on me for not checking the date. Store need to be more vigilant in removing expired dated products. read more

Just went to Festival foods late at night had to mail a bill today and I could not find any stamps at the pharmacy so I went to Festival foods and was checking out and there was difficulty because it was after hours and their office was closed where they sell the stamps so my cashier helped me and found a stamp for me to use an out of the goodness of her heart and I would like to give Festival foods in Racine Wisconsin on Washington Avenue a five star review because LINDA went above and beyond to help me when she didn't need to and I certainly appreciate that very much from the bottom of my heart thank you for hiring good employees read more

Very disappointed with the service. I am visiting the area from British Columbia as my parents still live here and my father had bypass surgery. I went in to purchase yogurt, a bottle of wine, and a bottle of beer and had my enhanced British Columbian Driver's License, which means I don't need a passport to enter the US. I am also 43 years old with enough white in my beard to make it clear I am well over 21 years old. The clerk would not accept my ID and asked for a passport. Like most people, I do not carry my passport around every day as I don't want to lose it. She cited a Festival Foods rule that they only accept US ID except for Passports. I can't believe they would know what the ID for all 50 states would look like and there should be a website noting various IDs and their look and security features if it was really needed to go to that extent. So I, a 43 year old person with a valid driver's license allowing entry to the US, was not allowed to buy alcohol by myself and had to call my mom in from the car to show her local Driver's License. This is ridiculous, lazy, and demeaning. I will not be going to Festival Foods again and will recommend the same to friends and family. Incidents like this are indicative of other aspects of how a business is run and I have no faith in Festival. read more

This grocery store actually prides itself on cleanliness...and it shows. They concentrate on that one aspect and neglect the quality and price of their food! We shopped their for the first time and bought mostly deli and produce. The peaches we bought were rotten and mealy, while the deli salads had absolutely no taste. The prices were outrageous! Never again! read more

Love shopping here. Great selection. The deli is fabulous as is the bakery. The employees are always friendly. Prices are a little higher than some of the other stores, but we continue to shop here due to the selection and friendly staff. They have good sales as well. read more

After a previous Supervalu supplied store failed at this location, I was excited to see what Festival would do with the site. It's walking distance from my house so my family has been there four times in the few weeks they've been open. Ripped off ALL four times! Each time the register did NOT give the sale prices advertised, even with the ad scanned! (and yes we had well over $5 of non coupon items). Catch the mistake before you pay, the cahier will over ride the price. Left angry each time, won't be back. read more

Festival Foods is always my go-to store. The associates are friendly, helpful, and always willing to do what they can to help me. When I walk around the store, I'm constantly greeted and the deli associates are always right there asking if they can help me with anything. The people are knowledgeable and if they by chance don't know an answer-they find one. I'm usually taken care of right away, but if it's busy, they use a number system to keep track. Sometimes, someone can get skipped over, but if you call it to their attention, they'll help you right away. The product is pricy, but the service makes up for it by a landslide. They sell great product throughout the store, especially the deli stuff. There's a huge variety that will change daily and I've discovered that Kretschmar is very comparable to my beloved Boars head. Ask the right people and they'll get you all the nutritional information on even the lunch meats-not many places will do that. The meat department is equally as great; the boys are funny, courteous, and always have a smile on their faces. The store is clean, well organized and easy to navigate if you look up at the signs. It can get a little messy in the service cases around 5 PM during rush hour for them, so don't believe it's always like that if you venture in between 3 and 6 PM. It's well lit and I just learned they have skylights and will use those to light the store to save energy when it's bright outside! From what I hear, some people are disillusioned with Festival , but I have never have had a bad experience. They're even so patient with my mother, who is very slow, picky, and butchers English with her strong Russian accent. It's incredibly refreshing to see a store so dedicated to customer service because Racine has been so long without it. I will never shop a different store so long as Festival is in business. read more

Around 5:30 PM on July 3 i checked out my grocery's. They had a older man bagging my food on the west end of the checkout's. The man bagged my hot deli food in a bag with cold meat and cheese. I asked him to remove and bag my hot food seperate. He said what's the differance and snacthed the two bags of cheese out and refused to seperate the hot deli from the cold meat. I had ice cold bake and fried chicken when i got home. I only live 10 minutes from the store and it was ice cold that quick. The clerk that helped me to my truck helped my unbag it. But it was too late. Also i had ice cream and a frozen cake he bagged that with can foods and fruit. read more
