I've honestly only eaten at this location once and it was okay. But I have to drive by the place every day. It looks like a meth lab. Don't you guys have any standards? Doesn't your franchise contract require that you upgrade the exterior so the paint isn't peeling on the sign (which is still an old logo by the way) the walls are clean and the place looks like something more than a facility for a prison release work program? The interior hasn't been updated since the 70s which explains the sign outside which is the Cousins logo from the 70s. It's not nostalgic - just derelict. I like Cousins food, but really - I'd like to eat someplace where I don't feel like I have to get shots first. I think your only option is demolition.

Order the night before. Not worth the hour wait. If you have social anxiety, do not enter. The most disorganized establishment.

I tried a tuna melt, having been underwhelmed by a breakfast experience on a prior visit and since I don't eat meat. the sandwich was good and I enjoyed the challah bread until about halfway through when I hit a fishy bite and was put off. The accompanying fries were very good. BF really enjoyed his Reuben, which was filling and meaty - thus the 4 stars. I'm waiting for a winner from Benji's, but as a vegetarian, I might be waiting a long time.

There were several servers hanging around and it wasn't clear where I could order. Sat at the counter and was ignored for 5 min. The server came over and told me to go to the deli area. It was a challenge to understand the clerk. A quart and pint of soup with a bagel and lox was $40. While I waited i read recent reviews and was alarmed. What happened to the best Jewish deli in our area? The lox tasted very fishy, like smoked fish. Unlike any lox I'd ever eaten. I asked for capers and regretted it; there were so many and with only the tiniest shmear of cream cheese, it was inedible. Too salty to be edible. The bagel was ok, but couldn't eat much of it. The chicken soup with mishmosh also disappointed. The lid was swimming in grease. I discarded it carefully. There was 1 matzo ball (ok), tons of noodles (meh) rice (ugh - underdone and inedible) and a kreplach ( I had to spit it out - filling was rancid and sour). The broth was tasteless and unseasoned. What happened to Benji's? So sad.

There are tables and chairs, but it's tight and when it got busy with people coming to pick up their lunch, would feel weird sitting down to eat. As it was, we just waited to pick up our food, like everyone else. Didn't see a single person actually eating inside, though we saw a LOT of people coming to pick up lunch. Previous review stands (3/25/2022) This is another happy review. I'm happy to report that the burgers have improved significantly since my last review 4 years ago. Korean BBQThey toned down on the shredded cabbage and the sauce in the korean bbq burger. Everything balanced out much better than what I remember, and I could actually taste the kimchi inside this time. The meat was cooked to a nice medium, and travelled well in our to-go order. Soft Shell CrabThey put two whole deep fried soft shell crabs in one burger. Topped off with a lot of arugula, bacon and tomatoes. It was good, but not quite as balanced out as the Korean BBQ burger. I'm not quite sure what it is... Lacking some sauce?Overall, the place had some great burgers and I would definitely go back more often that I have recently. But there's a little bit missing still to give it a whopping 5 star review. Plus the buns were really bready... a little less dough would have been nice. And on the downside... the fries weren't awesome. They were ok. But felt more like baked fries than deep fried. In any case, I love improvements and having great joints in my neighborhood. Thank you Crave Cafe!

And to be completely fair, I don't eat beef and so I went with the Shroom with fries and the other burger ordered was beef (which was raved about; was told it was juicy, flavorful, and gas). To speak to the burger I ordered, The Shroom was a masterpiece of aioli, arugula, and mushroom. It had quickly spiraled me into an arugula phase for several weeks after haha I'm a fiend for fries, and I will stand by the fact that these were a solid 10/10- crisp edges, cut for the soft potato inside and golden brown outside-hit the spot. I will definitely be back for more bites here! The seating inside is limited and there's some outdoor, but I would more likely bank on a grab n go style. They're relatively quick with getting orders together, but honestly if you had to wait a little longer than you wanted to, worth the wait. I will say the parking is kinda nice for the summers in the sense that you park your car as close to the lake as you can, walk to eat, and then leave to get your steps in and let your food coma bathe in the sun.

A QR code on the table with an online menu might be a better option? Or come in to yelp and check out their menu! I've added pictures below. Bartenders were superb and the food was quite amazing. Crispy Brussel Sprouts: If you hate Brussel sprouts, skip it, but if you want to give it a chance, I'd say this is the place to do it. 1/2 LB Burger is actually cheaper than the Brussel sprouts. They complement each other quite well. It can get quite loud inside, so not your romantic spot (go down the street to Buttermint for that), but if you're looking for a fun, loud, delicious spot, this is it. UPDATE 3/2024 The steak salad is absolutely gorgeous to look at and delicious to the tastebuds. Dressing is probably not keto friendly, but I love it so much!! They have their menu online, limited toppings, but we called ahead to place the order. He said it would be ready in 10 minutes. The pizza size isn't online but I measured and it's 14". First impression of the pizza when they handed it to me was that it needed more cheese. I still think that's true after baking it. I was tempted to add more of my own but wanted to eat it as it came. Tons of toppings though! The sausage was really good too. Never being there but knowing they have cannoli (no dessert case seen), I asked what flavors and got a strange look like there must be only one flavor lol. Okay, I'll take whatever that one is! The man went into the back to fill it for me and I will say it was delicious and was I guess just a plain cream with maybe some vanilla. They aren't open very late so get there early if you want dinner. Like before 5pm. Several others came in to get sandwiches while we were there and said they are great. We came on a Sunday before they officially started serving breakfast and just had pastries available, but we were getting together with some friends for our monthly coffee date and didn't need a whole meal necessarily. The selection was a bit more limited than I would have expected from a boulangerie, but the cinnamon roll was very good (probably would have been better if it had been warmed up but that was not offered). And the cookies that we brought home (chocolate chip and gingersnap) were also very good. I also tried a bite of my husband's quiche and it was very good--definitely made in-house! The almond croissant had a generous amount of almond paste in it, and was quite sizable, too.

The sandwiches come with a salad or potatoes. I had the salad and it was a nice array of fresh vegetables with a vinaigrette. The cheese was maybe not as all the way melted as I expected but it was still a nice treat. I couldn't resist getting the lemon cake for dessert. They had a strawberry shortcake that day too. Service was attentive and they kept my coffee cup filled. I should come here more often for weekend brunch.

We were worried that they might not be able to accomodate all of us, but we were super okay if they split us up into two tables, which they had to end up doing. It's vintage and has that diner feel but maintains its modern effects especially with the Riverwest neighborhood. I ordered a bloody mary which was amazing!! I can be pretty particular when it comes to my bloody's but this was the perfect flavor, spiciness, and the garnishes were super fun. As I said before I was super hungry so I got their dream burger with fries. It was a patty with tomato, onion, lettuce, and cheese. When it came out my eyes popped out of my head cause holy cow was that thing HUGE! I could only eat half of it and I took the rest to-go. It was super juicy and flavorful. The fries were crispy and perfectly salty, it was hard to stop eating them. We also ordered french toast for the table which was just as delicious. It was made with some sort of sourdough bread so it was nice and fluffy. There was a raspberry compote that made it nice and refreshing, and a sweet cinnamon butter to tie it all together. If I came in for breakfast this would be the perfect sweet meal to order. Our server was super nice and attentive, and made sure to check on us when needed and refilled our drinks if we asked.
