Great Property - Friendly staff! My room was clean and quiet not much more to ask for.

Two stars for the friendly staff. I have stayed at this property probably 50 times or more over the last several years. They have gone through a "refresh" a couple years ago. That was nice but this place gets so much use that it quickly has descended back to what it was previously. I realize this is a hotel in a "city" but come on. There is little done to keep the place up. Rooms are rundown. Employees hang out the side door to smoke, nice touch Don't get me started on the parking. Not the worst hotel I have been to but definitely the worst Marriott property. I am surprised they are allowed to retain the franchise. While owned by the same people, if you must stay at Marriott property, try the residence inn. Much better. read more

We repeatedly choose Marriott hotels because of their consistency in quality and service. When I stay at a Marriott I know I'm going to have a clean, comfortable room and friendly staff. We used the Worcester Marriott as the wedding party and guest hotel for our wedding in June. The customer service here was outstanding! The front desk had no problems handing out guest bags and was accommodating when some of the guests hadn't booked through the group rate. We were frequently greeted by General Manager Massimo Santangelo who made sure everything was running smoothly and even surprised the children with treats in the afternoon. They were even flexible with their shuttle during a last minute crisis. read more

Recently hosted a meeting there. Despite massive construction going on outside the building, the interior was impeccable. desk, room and meeting staff were all excellent and extremely accommodating. Conference facilities were perfect for a small group (we had 25). Breakfast and lunch offered a wide variety of options. This is in an area of the city which has undergone a serious revitalization over the past few year and has shed most of its seedy past. Wedged into a myriad of Worcester Poly Tech Buildings and just a block from the Art Museum and downtown, this can be an excellent home base for any activities in the area. read more

Very clean and tidy. Spacious rooms. The food there is not very great, but there are other places nearby too eat. Overall, it's a pretty nice place. Would definitely go back if I'm ever in Worcester again. read more

I needed adjoining rooms with handicap access for one of the rooms and if they could early checkin. Jackie at the front desk was more than helpful, she was outstanding! What a wonderful stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Worcester! My friends and I were in town for a concert. The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly taking the time to answer any questions we had about the hotel and the local bars/restaurants in the area. When we mentioned we were in town for a concert the staff member arranged for free shuttle transporation to and from the venue! This was a great surprise and saved all of us money! The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff was always there if we needed anything. I would highly recommend the Courtyard by Marriott Worcester to anyone who is traveling to the Worcester area. It has a great location and a top-notch staff! read more

Went there for breakfast fresh fruit fresh oatmeal starbucks coffee fresh yogurt with granola they will cook you fresh eggs bacon sausage home fries and do a great job it's buffet style so you don't have to wait for somebody to serve you staff are very attentive read more

We have stayed at this property several times. Over the past year they have undergone renovations. A new hotel is being built on the same property which is unsitely and parking is tight and insufficient. We have parked on the grass. This location price gouges. A queen room on October 24th is running $330, normally it is below $200. We have received a WPI discount on several occassions but they are selective about when they will offer it. A friend recieved the WPI rate today, $134 vs $330. I called an hour later and they would not offer the WPI rate to me. read more

Worst hotel experience ever! I know people always use this site to complain about stupid things but seriously, don't waste your money. I stayed here with my friends for a night while seeing a concert nearby. We all agreed it was the worst hotel experience we've ever had. We all wished we'd slept in our cars (and we have tiny cars). There was no parking, they didn't have any blankets or pillows for the pull out, there was literally poop on our toilet paper roll, our shower was so clogged with hair it was unusable, and we were charged a ridiculous amount of money for the tiniest hotel room I've ever seen. Pretty much everything a hotel is supposed to be for (like a place to park your car and sleep comfortably for a night and maybe take a clean shower) this place just failed at. We had to book a "suite" because that's all they had, which was almost $400 with fees and everything. We told the hotel there were four of us when we booked and they said there would be plenty of room for us. Except the room was tiny! It was smaller than any hotel room I've seen- I can't imagine what a regular room looks like. There were no blankets or pillows for the second bed so we called and they said they were all out! What kind of hotel runs out of pillows!?! And we told them we had four people. So we had to sleep on a naked mattress. When we showed up and they didn't have anywhere for us to park and pretty much gave us the "sorry not our problem" and said people not from the hotel kept parking in the lot. Isn't that kinda on you to make sure people don't use your lot? So we had to drive around trying to find parking. Then they told us we'd have to move our cars later that night so we didn't get towed. The only reason we paid (a ridiculous amount of money I might add) to stay in a hotel was so we didn't have to drive after the concert so we could enjoy ourselves and have some beverages. We all wish we'd just driven home by the end of it. At 1am when we got back there were still no spots in the lot. The people at the front desk were apologetic but didn't offer any kind of solution or way to help us. So we parked our cars in weird spots half on the grass in the lot and hoped we didn't get in trouble. Our toilet paper roll was dirty, like had poop on it. And the toilet was unflushed when we showed up. Then the shower drain was disgustingly clogged with hair. I tried to take a shower and ended up standing in a tub of a foot of gross water filled with other people's hair from the drain. The breakfast was eh. We expressed our concerns on a couple occasions to staff but we were pretty much just ignored. You could have at least given us a discount, free breakfast, something? Just bad. All of it. read more

I'm a tried and true Marriott warrior and don't deviate - so it was natural for me to book this hotel when I needed to be in downtown Worcester early in the morning. Conveniently located right off of I-290 and centered around the new WPI auxiliary campus, you feel generally safe. There seems to be a shelter or some kind of social services office across the parking lot where I encountered some pan handling, so just keep an extra eye out and practice a bit more vigilance if you're there at night. Otherwise the hotel has no surprises, really friendly staff, and so much so the young lady who checked me in at 11:00pm offered to personally grab me some coffee from their (closed) cafe - a nice gesture to make me feel more welcome! The parking was a mild issue, it's limited and in the morning and I never received a parking pass at check in so I had a note on my windshield noting I would be towed if I wasn't a guest! I will certainly stay again when I need to be in Worcester for work! read more

Stayed here for a wedding. Beautiful rooms, and they kept the bar open till 2a.m. for the wedding guests. There was no complaint with breakfast either. Although they didn't tell the bride they were planning on doing conctruction during everyones stay. read more

I am a hotel snob and was concerned when booking this hotel. We weren't there on a pleasure trip and needed to book in this area and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff was pleasant, professional and accommodating. The room was clean and the bistro in the lobby was just right. And free parking too!! read more

I've stayed here twice in the past month, once for my daughter's graduation and once to help her move into a new apartment. Both times I was very happy with the customer service and the quality of the hotel itself. Courtney and Socrates were both very responsive and seemed to genuinely want their guests to be happy. The rooms were in excellent condition. Furniture, carpeting, tiles and counters all seemed new. The giant interactive screen in the lobby was entertaining and informative with traffic and transportation updates, weather and local info. I will most definitely chose to stay here next time I'm in Worcester. read more

nicely decorated hotel, very classy. very nice room, nice flat screen. i wish they had music channels so we could have listened to music. the sheets were so soft and the bed was very comfortable. i like that there was a bar in the hotel even though i didn't use it. the fridge in the room was great as well. for this area the price was reasonable. read more
