Basic king room with modern loveseat.
    Nick M.

Took my wife here for a little staycation and we couldn't be happier. We're locals, so we have realistic expectations for High Point and the Courtyard Marriott far surpassed them. Large open public area with fantastic decor. Decent professionalism at the front desk. Basic King room was roomy and included a modern looking sofa/loveseat (pictured) that was perfect for chilling and sipping tea or coffee. The bistro was great for breakfast. Cafe quality Starbucks drinks and plenty of healthy food options. We love arugula . Everything was affordable as well.

Not impressed: this dirty moldy vent was blowing air into the room.

I was really happy with the room! It was really clean and I liked the design. I'm not sure I would eat at the Bistro again though.

From the moment you walk through the door, you are welcomed by some of the friendliest, most accommodating, and genuinely lovely people imaginable. There was never a moment where they didn't go out of their way to help make our stay comfortable and memorable. Ray, especially, was exceptional. He was there every day making sure everything was perfect and continually went above and beyond to make our stay feel special and personal. The Manor itself is absolutely charming -- creative, warm, and filled with character. Everywhere you looked was a feast for the eyes, with thoughtful details and beautiful touches throughout. Now that my niece has graduated, we technically have no reason to visit High Point anymore -- but honestly, a return trip would be worth it just for another stay at the Manor. It felt less like staying somewhere and more like being part of something truly special.

The sound of the pretty fountain out front and of finches and other birds around the grounds is transportive as is the lobby's wallpaper, the loveliest textured bird pattern. Delicious chocolates greeted me upon arrival in my room, and tasty granola bars that appeared to be hand-made were provided to grab on my way out. So many little touches like that made Pandora's exceptional, and I wish that beautiful Manor another hundred years!

*This review is for the afternoon tea only*…read more As I'm a lover of chatting and snacking, afternoon tea is an activity I enjoy as often as I can afford! As I've done most of the afternoon teas available in the Triangle area, I am not branching out to the Triad. Afternoon tea at O Henry came highly recommended to me by people I know in real life and rightfully so! Afternoon tea at O Henry is served in the lobby of the hotel when you first walk in. They have clusters of seating all over, and they do get booked out so be sure to make your reservation ahead of time. For the tea, they have a few different tiers but I've always opted for the full O. Henry Tea. It's still only $22 which is such an accessible price point as I'm used to afternoon teas costing easily double! It's a hearty and proper tea, and they will refill your pot too. I can't wrap up the review without commenting on the excellent service. Every time I've come for the afternoon tea, I am impressed by the warm welcome and attentive service by all of the staff I interact with. This afternoon tea is one I will repeat time and time again!

When we…read morediscovered that someone had left something in the refrigerator in our room that had spoiled, they got right on it and had switched out the refrigerator before we could get done with cocktails. Speaking of cocktails, the Green Valley Grill is attached which is also a top recommendation. After I left, I thought I had left my most cherished necklace. They immediately sent management to our room for a thorough check. I travel every month and all over the world and I have to say that the level of service we received at the O'Henry is one of the best. The hotel has its own unique, old-world vibe. Heavy woods, dark colors yet charming. They do "teas" in the lobby and the seating areas both inside and outside are cozy and comfortable with classical music so you find people all around reading books and enjoying being together. I also like the way they converted a nook in the bathroom for a bench with drawers and that there was a sink inside and outside the bathroom making it easier for multiple people to get ready. If in Greensboro and wanting to go back in time for a relaxing stay, try the O'Henry.
