Perfect for what we needed. A descent place to stay for a weekend in Boston. Wish they had a bar or restaurant. They offer coffee all day and you can buy bottles of wine after & some food after 5. There's a nice lobby area to sit. read more

Standard Courtyard rooms and amenities. Older style lobby-- which I actually prefer-- and it has a pool table. Parking is free and it's actually only a 10 minute drive to downtown once you figure out the route. Seems overpriced at about 175/night but it's a bargain with comparable hotels downtown running over 300. read more

I recently stayed at this Courtyard Marriott location while traveling for work. I stayed about 16 nights. The good first. Nothing special about this place, but Andy at the front did a fantastic job at assisting with my needs anytime he worked. Andy was very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and basically the caliper of a higher end property location. Definitely a future manager, if that is his goal. Sara, the front desk supervisor was also very helpful and professional during my stay. Marriott had an opportunity to make a correction and she personally handled it very well. Unfortunately, during my stay there were multiple mistakes made. A house keeper came to my door, knocked and opened my door, all the while a big green do not disturb hung on my door! I asked front desk for items from housekeeping before 8am. She wrote them down but housekeeping didn't bring items requested, such as lotion, tissue box, etc. Shuttle transportation left early one day, although there's a huge posted sign in the lobby showing they leave every half hour between selected hours. Once when I called for a pickup from BMC, the front person didn't take my info, name, number and exact location and sent the driver to a location with several buildings over several blocks at BMC. The dinning area made some errors from over cooked eggs to front desk not getting my order right after repeating back 3 times! The manager, she was less than empathetic about the mistake and somewhat patronizing. Needless to say, this location needs some more training of its employees from management on down, with the big exception of Andy and Sara. I would not come back to this Marriott property. read more

Our stay was perfect, always a good experience at a Courtyard - but wanted to give a shout out to Shaquielle at the front desk for helping us out. He went above and beyond! Thank you for helping make our night easy and fun :) read more

Perfectly clean and spacious rooms; the comfy beds are always a plus. My first world complaint is the ridiculously slow draining sink.

Do not stay this hotel. Front staff gave up to help a customer to arrange a taxi. I usually stay hotel 60 days a year and it's 80%are Marriott group. I am a platinum member and overall they were ok. I hope only this hotel's quality is poor. read more

Room was ok, but we found out that the heater was broken on the last night. Outside temp was minus degrees. Woke up to a very very cold room. Staff didn't seem too concerned. read more

The place is decent. The rooms are clean and surprisingly quiet on New Year's Eve, and there's a fridge in the room. However, the negatives outweigh the positives here. I checked into the room, and there were no pillows. I went right back to the front desk and let them know, and they arrived in about an hour -- not a huge deal, but I was ready to take a nap right when I got there but had to stay awake to wait for the pillows. Second, the TV didn't work, so I called the front desk, who gave me quick instructions on what to try, then hung up. Luckily I was able to figure it out by myself. Next was when I decided to take a dip in the postage-stamp-sized pool...(which was about 86 degrees and the water felt slimy) and I went to hop into the jacuzzi, which didn't turn on. I went out to the front desk where I was told the jacuzzi was out of order. No apologies, nothing. This bothered me because I specifically chose this hotel because of the jacuzzi. I head back to my room hoping to take a nice hot shower... but to no avail. The water was lukewarm at best, even after letting it run for about a minute before getting in. However, as I was about to get out, the hot water suddenly kicked in on a scalding temperature. I decided to go out to get some food, only to return to no parking. I drove around the lot, literally, a dozen times. Finally I went inside and asked what they would suggest, or if I can leave it in one of the many vacant handicap spots. The front desk clerk was very rude, she took 2 phone calls while I was in mid-conversation with her! She told me to "make up a spot" but that if security comes around, I'll be towed. After an hour of looking for a spot, I finally went out onto the street in the really crappy neighborhood behind the hotel and parked there. Luckily, my car was still there and unscathed in the morning. Overall, this hotel sucks. For what I paid, I could have stayed at a much nicer place. read more

If driving google maps may take you to the one way exit off of Boston road! Check that out in advance! Price is right. Not the best location but if you are traveling for work and don't need to be right downtown works perfectly fine. Fitness center is too small. Otherwise what you would expect for a courtyard. read more

Less than one, but its not an option. Never park your car here for the airport....unless you like having to ask to be driven to the airport 3x and calling 4 times before they come to pick you up when you return. read more

Honestly, we weren't even staying at this hotel (mistake). We came in to ask about the tour bus that was supposed to be leaving from this location. Andy, at the front desk, was gracious and knowledgeable. According to our hotel the pick up was between 0800 and 0830, no tour bus until 0845-0900. We were also told we would have to find a way to get back, Andy told us how to get back and it was very simple. I am very sorry that we didn't pick this hotel. I am giving Andy a five star review. read more

after reading all the reviews i had my doubts going to the hotel. knowing its a bit hard to find, i called the hotel as soon as we got off the high way, and followed their directions and found it in no time. the place is also not sketchy. i mean if you are from the middle of nowhere then yes this place may look shady, but coming from new york. i didn't feel unsafe at all. even the people on between the highways asking for money were nice! also driving to the city center was like a close 10 min drive. we had dinner in south boston toward the water. along broadway. alot of restaurants and bars. also drove around boston for sightseeing. didn't take the T once. yes parking is hard to find, but it's one of those things where you just give a little time, i always found parking. and even the none free 2 hour ones, i was okey with. cause downtown boston is so small... each neighborhood is so walkable. once ur done u can just hop back in ur car n go to another spot. not a problem at all. hotel wise... sorry! very clean hotel, clean rooms. which is more important to me than anything else. super big beds. slept well. no problems. read more

On the surface the Courtyard Marriott was both presentable and nice but upon spending multiple days there, it was lacking. After spending a night in the pool and jacuzzi, which was underwhelming. The pool was very small, and the jacuzzi was nice but the jets were turned off half hour prior to the actual closing time while we were still inside. We proceeded to go back to our room to call the front desk to ask for two extra towels after having dropped or towels at the deposit spot near the pool, to which the hotel responded twice that they had not a single extra towel in the hotel. If spending time in Boston with your loved ones, please avoid the Marriott Courtyard and visit the adjacent hotel, the Holiday Inn. read more

We had a terrible medical emergency and tried several times to get in touch with the GM, Jahayra Santiago, so see what we could do about our reservations. My husband and I planned on helping to move our son into his on campus apartment at Northeastern, but then had a family emergency and needed to get to Florida. We were already upset over the medical emergency of a family memeber, but also not being able to be there for our son. She didn't care. Jahayra wouldn't even take the time to take our phone call or even call us back. My husband is a reward member of Marriott and expected some compassion from the company that is in the service industry. Both my husband and I work in the service indusry and we know how important it is to communicate with customers and seeing if there is any way at all we can help resolve a problem. Just know, you will not get this from her. read more

Wish I could give the hotel a better review. I am a loyal Marriott traveller and use them as my hotel of choice. The hotel is nice. The bistro has better food and a nice set up although overly expensive. Was there with a volleyball team for a tournament at the BCC. Had made arrangements for the shuttle to take our team to the tournament. It is a small shuttle and is shared with the Holiday Inn next door so it makes it hard to get a team of 12 on the trip together, hence my repeated checks with the front desk that we would be accommodated and would arrive at the venue in plenty of time. Of course they had made mistakes with two different lists of reservations and some poor handwriting. Front desk called for cabs. Was going to split us up into 3 cars which meant that part of the team would be riding without chaperones. A definite no no. Another cab was called and a SUV came. The hotel did pick up fare but the handling of the mistake in timing, attitude and follow up was awful. What could have been a big fix by them was turned into poor service and poor fillip by the hotel as well as by Marriott afterwards. Stay here if you are in South Boston but make sure you don't rely on the staff for help. read more

We thought spending $400 a night would get us a nice hotel. We were wrong . The lobby of the hotel was nice and clean with attentive staff. The room looked nice and clean with views of a storage place. TV remote was not working, called the room service. They came quickly to fix the problem. The white blanket had a dead cockroach squished on it with small holes in the blanket. Called room service again, they came and gave us a blanket without a cover like the ones you get on an airline. Ice maker on the floor was out of service as well. The pool was small and not impressive at all. Don't think the stay was worth $400. read more

I had a really great experience staying at this hotel. I probably dealt with 4 or 5 different employees at the front, and all were extremely pleasant and helpful. They helped accommodate my requests for early check in and late check out. They helped me arrange for a cab, and helped me access the nearest public transportation. My room was clean and updated. I would suggest asking for a room not near the elevator; mine was by the elevator and across from the ice machine, which is why I give this place a 4, instead of 5. That was rowdy. I suggest enclosing the ice machine area with a door to cut back on the noise. There's a decent selection of snacks and beverages for purchase. I accessed the fitness room, which was clean and all machines seemed to be working. Two different employees checked on the equipment/area while I was in there. Fyi- full length mirror is behind the bathroom door. You do have to go through a shady part of town to get here. Is 0.4 miles from the red line. read more

Relatively good location and walking distance from the T. We stayed here for 7 nights in mid October of 2012 and it was pretty good for what it is, a location for wash up and get shuteye. Even though they provide shuttle service every 30min to the nearest red line T station, we didn't even use it once during our stay. The walk was only 10 to 15min max so we opted to walk rather than wait. The walk is not exactly through the friendliest neighborhood and cleanest streets, although it is relatively busy with passing cars, so I'd suggest to walk in a group in the wee hours of late night. When we stayed there they were asking for mid 200's per night which is pretty budget friendly for access to Boston/Cambridge. Overall they had everything we needed for a reasonable price. read more

Hotel is modern, rooms are clean, staff is great but location is just ok. The food served in the lobby level is good for breakfast but not great for lunch or dinner. I ordered a burger and it was microwaved and fries were salty. Free parking is excellent. read more

I stayed at this Courtyard a couple of weeks ago for 2 overnights for a business trip. I always stay at Marriott family hotels because they are always at least decent and I get points. This Courtyard was very clean and they had a cafe on premises which is always convenient. However the best part was the awesome customer service I received at the front desk. Chester, Bobby and Andy were very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers. read more

Stayed here over the weekend. Hotel was in a good location - a few minute walk to the Andrew St "T" station that I used all weekend and there is a shopping plaza just behind the hotel in case you forgot anything and they also offer free parking, they allow you to keep your car there until 2:30 the day that you check out so it is a great time to take advantage of a few extra hours of site seeing. I didn't spend much time in the room exept for sleeping but the room was nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable. I would defintiely stay here again. read more

We've stayed many times at this Courtyard Marriott, since the location is perfect to visit our Dorchester family. We are always delighted with how friendly and accomodating the staff is to our needs. Recently I left a computer cord in the room, and Andy on the staff was kind enough to ship it to us to Chicago. The rooms are pleasant, well appointed, and always spotless. Great stays! read more

I booked the Courtyard in South Boston for my husband and I for a weekend in October 2011. The night before we were supposed to leave, we received a devastating phone call that my husband's mother had passed away. I immediately called the hotel to cancel, since we needed to be home with the family and help with arrangements. My husband is in the Navy and we live several hours away. The lady that answered the phone said it was "no problem" to cancel our reservation and that we would not be charged a cancellation fee due to the circumstances, and they also had 18 hours notice before our check-in time. Turns out, they charged our credit card anyway. It was my fault for not getting a name and cancellation number, but I was grief stricken at the time and not thinking clearly. So beware if you need to cancel your reservation, even in the event of an emergency. read more

I'll never stay at a Marriott again. EVER. In addition to getting our room wrong, allowing loud underage kids to roam the halls drunk, and having a shooting in their parking lot and a police chase around the property the night we were there, they've now charged us close to $40 for "incidentals" five days AFTER WE LEFT. The manager just told me it's because we used a debit card when we checked in, but NOT ONCE did they say they would actually take money out of our checking account, nor what the amount would be, or FOR WHAT. We had NO incidentals, and yet they now have $40 of our money, which they say will be refunded in up to 7 days. How is it legal to charge me $40 as a "hold" for incidentals 5 DAYS after I left? And now they get to keep $40 of my money for a week for NO REASON??? This Marriott is the worst. Never ever again. read more

Marriott Courtyard - South Boston SCAM Airport Shuttle: The Marriott Courtyard and Holiday Inn Express at the same South Boston location share an Airport Shuttle service for $5/person. However, the Shuttle Driver(s) and Hotel Manager(s) and/or Front Desk Employee(s) are conducting a scam whereby scheduled passengers are waiting for a shuttle that is always delayed because of a "flat tire, etc." With hotel guests placed in a position of missing a flight or appointment, they're asked to pay for "private" taxi rides arranged by Hotel personnel (i.e., manager or desk employee). On two occasions, I caught Shuttle Drivers relaxing in the Holiday Inn nearby. When asked why they were abandoning people, their excuses were truly lame (e.g., the Shuttle tire is flat (it wasn't), police won't let us drive onto airport). I called a real taxi service and the Driver believed that some sort of Union labor dispute was involved. Regardless, it's a SCAM I've experienced three times in the past year and a half. Other guest had similar experience in the past. read more

A friend and I spent the weekend in Boston for a quick get away. After a stressful start we were warmly greeted by Michael and Djenny at the front desk. They were helpful the entire weekend. We were high maintenance and they were helpful with each request. They gave us helpful information on restaurants, directions, cabs and the hotel shuttle. They gave us details on how to ride the train to the sights we wanted to see. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff in the restaurant was also very nice and pleasant for breakfast. Everyone we encountered this past weekend were friendly and professional especially Michael and Djenny. read more

My dear friend and I were traveling to Boston from Chicago on January 25, 2017. While we were in Chicago, Delta stated that our airplane was going to be arriving late into Chicago, which would make up late to Detroit and we would miss our Boston connection flight. We would not make our midnight arrival to this hotel. No big deal, life is too short. We canceled our Hotel in Boston as soon as we heard we would miss our connecting flight. Delta called for us to state of the equipment problem with our airplane. South Boston Courtyard did not care! They would not give us our money back. Really? This was not our fault, but they would not budge. It was discussed all of the way up the management system and NOTHING! Even the higher up, Management Stephanie would not budge. Too sad and poor business!! Beware!! IT was not even a crazy holiday date! Like they were having to turning people away! Very sad!! read more
