It can be a daunting task looking for someone to help fix or service your HVAC systems. "Will they actually fix the problem correctly?", "Do they actually know what they are doing?", "Will I be overcharged for an inadequate job?"... HVAC systems tend to be fairly robust so needing help is not necessarily a seasonal or even yearly job but when there is an issue you tend to need help quickly so the search begins in earnest. After research and too many phone calls I came across Courtesy Heating & Air Conditioning. My first contact was with Teresa who spent a few moments going through the problem so they could be as prepared as possible with the service call. She even called back prior to the appointment with a few more questions. They both arrived promptly, prepared and ready to find a solution. We'd installed a nest thermostat during winter but the a/c wasn't kicking on now that the weather was warmer (we'd never tested it in the winter). Long story short they found the culprits, a problem with the control board and a short in a wire that had been installed poorly a decade before. They even followed up with a courtesy call on a Saturday morning to test and make sure everything was perfect. We have had a number of service people over the years and I would struggle to find anyone or any company even close to the level of professionalism, courtesy not to mention their concern for your final cost. Your search for knowledgeable, honest and well priced HVAC needs ends with Courtesy Heating and Air Conditioning, speak with Teresa or Roc, I'm sure like me, you will be very happy you did. We will need to replace our hot water tanks soon, I only have one number I will call. read more

Worst experience ever. Had them come over and diagnose our A/C and said that the motor blower might be going out. They said to turn off the humidifier and clean the exterior unit. Which I already cleaned the exterior unit and turned off the humidifier. Still didn't work so I called them out again and they said the blower unit was bad. So they replaced that and it still didn't solve the problem. Called them and asked them to refund a service call since they didn't diagnose the system right both times. Enduring that call Roc's wife started to cuss at us, saying we weren't licensed. Most ridiculous company I have dealt with that ended up scamming us out of 400$+ and didn't resolve the issue. Update: They contacted me about my review and told me that they would right their wrong if I removed my review. They were a no show after that and didn't contact me back. read more

Our heating system failed just a couple of nights ago. I called Theresa right away. She and her husband Rock had done some work for us a few years ago and did a great job. I told her the situation and she knew exactly what the issues were. For safety reasons, she told me to shut down the furnace, and that her husband Rock would come over the next day to further assess the situation. Turns out they had to install a new furnace. They gave me the best deal possible. Everything works well now. Theresa and Rock are fair and honest people. They are my first choice for HVAC repairs and services. Thanks Rock and Theresa! read more

I called 5 different companies that told me it would be weeks before they could fit me in (due to heatwave). Some of them didn't even answer my call or return my voicemail. Courtesy Heating & Air Conditioning answered my call promptly, tried to troubleshoot possible issues with me before coming out, and showed up the very next day! Very personable. Honest. Reasonably priced. I will definitely call them again in the future! read more

I used them for my AC this summer did an awesome job, so when my furnace started acting up I immediately gave them a call. We scheduled a time but I had to reschedule so on the 2nd appt I received a call 45 min after our appointment time stating they couldn't make it due to issues with the appointment they were on, we rescheduled again and again I received a call 30min after our scheduled time stating they again were jammed up with current customer. Still having issues with my furnace I called them again on the 22nd to come out yet with my schedule that day we again reschedule for the 26th between 12 and 2. NO SHOW AND NO CALL. Done working with them they might be good but unreliable! read more

I can't imagine the one-star reviewer dealt with the same company I did. I had the opposite experience - Courtesy has made two house calls for me, and both times it was all but effortless on my part. They answer the phone day and night (pretty rare in this industry), and make themselves available 24/7 every day of the week, including weekends (REALLY rare -- in fact, they're the only ones I've encountered who do this). Although we did have one miscommunication that left me waiting at home one day without anyone showing up, once I called and we got it cleared up, they sent their technician out THE NEXT DAY. On top of it, Courtesy's rates are extremely reasonable. I can't speak highly enough of them. I don't see how you could do any better than Courtesy, which truly lives up to its name. read more

Rock was great! Showed up very quickly, excellent service, and a great guy. For the price of the motor replacement part plus the service call fee, my furnace was up and running within no time. Keeping his contact info for any future needs. read more

I had been having problems with my AC cooling my house properly and I called around to several heating and air conditioning companies and they couldn't have anybody come out for 3 to 4 days but I called Courtesy Heating& Air and they were able to come out within 3 hours of my call. They were very friendly and helpful and didn't charge me a bunch of money to get my AC working properly again. read more

I've worked with Courtesy Heating for years and they have always done an excellent job, been very flexible with my schedule and my heat bills have gone way down. I'm a realtor and I've recommended them to many of my clients and they've always been pleased with their work. Their prices are fair and they'll point out safety issues if they exist. Great job Rock and Teresa! read more

I was having a strange issue with my heater that was causing it to not always turn on. I called Courtesy this morning fully expecting to have to schedule a service appointment for sometime in the future. I spoke with Theresa who talked me through a couple possible solutions. But when those did not work, she and Rocko fit me into their tight schedule this morning and had me back up and running in no time, AND did not charge me some excessive fee. I'm very thankful and I will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

This place is negative 5 stars, by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I called them out to fix my air conditioning unit and they literally didn't fix anything. They came out a total of 3 times and charged us over $400 and didn't fix a single thing. I called to try and level with them and they cursed me out, saying they have all these years of experience and basically calling me dumb. I had a friend that works in HVAC come over and he found a wiring problem with the control unit in 20 mins of troubleshooting, and he just finished school with no experience! We threatened to small claims them and they said they have won multiple small claims like it's an accomplishment...what a joke. These people are thieving scammers and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

Usually I ask 3 bids before making a decision on contractors. I am newish to the area and did ask for referrals. After receiving two other bids from HVAC contractors and electricians, I called Courtesy Heating and Air (Courtesy H&A). The owners, Rock and Teresa came out to the house and looked over the situation. Based on the size of the house, the location of the furnace and other pertinent information that Rock assessed, we discussed the pros and cons of types of furnaces, a/c and installation procedures. Straight forward and honest, they did not try to high pressure me into buying bells and whistles or high priced, brand name furnaces. Courtesy H & A also provided me an invoice with the price of the work. In addition, they informed me about the permit process - when, where and how much. They were knowledgable about the possible tax credits and what units were in compliance. Unfortunately, the government is rather stingy this year. Courtesy H&A arranged to have a master electrician, Todd (A + Electrical Services), look at the possibility of adding a 220 line. The electrician looked at our electrical box and made recommendations which was reasonably priced. He also advise me on what was to code and what was necessary to install. Todd provided me with an invoice and also informed me about the permit process/cost. NOW, this is important because none of the other two HVAC contractors did any of this. They just gave me a verbal quote. One sent a electrician over who gave me an verbal estimate and that was that. One HVAC contractor did have an invoice filled out but then took the invoice with him - leaving me with ZIP. Both Courtesy H& A and A+ service and installation was excellent. I had two city inspectors came out to look at the install and both were pleased. Not one negative comment. Rock covered all the bases and finished off the work so it looked very neat and professional. Teresa, owner, also answered all my questions, kept me abreast to what was going on during the install and then some. I learned more about furnaces, a/c and maintenance from those two than any online plumbing sites and consumer reports that I had previously read. I was treated with respect regardless of what little knowledge I have about furnaces or electrical boxes. The Goodman 80/20 furnace that I purchased works great. We were certainly toasty the first cool day of the year. I love my new Honeywell Thermostat they installed. The window is large so I don't have to use a microscope to read it and very user friendly. I am confident to recommend Courtesy Heating and A+ Electrical Services. read more

Furnace stopped working. After calling a few other companies whose voice mail boxes were not accepting new messages (really?), I called Courtesy. Teresa got back to me within minutes. Rather than immediately scheduling a service call, she said I should try resetting the furnace and explained how to do it. When that didn't work, she scheduled Rock (who has like 40 years of experience) to come out after work hours at no extra charge. He diagnosed and fixed the problem within minutes and the charge was reasonable. I will definitely call these folks again if I have a problem. read more

Very friendly and professional. I got home at a late hour with no heat. I called multiple heating businesses and they were the only ones who answered my call. They arrived at my home within twenty minutes. Due to the late hour and needing a new furnace, they were thoughtful enough to leave me with multiple spaceheaters overnight. I am very with pleased with their services and will highly recommend them to my friends and family in the future. read more

This company was a life saver for us today. The nice lady that answered the phone, forgot her name, was able to walk my husband through some troubleshooting and fix the problem over the phone. We have a disabled member of the family and being without air would have been detrimental to his health. She was very patient and helpful. We even tried to buy her a pizza but all she wanted is for us to consider their company for any future needs. I highly recommend this company! read more

Rock&Theresa at Courtesy heating and air conditioning have been amazing to us. They rescued us this summer after another company came to our house did a "tune up"(which I'm sure wasn't t even done)on our ac& heater , that company told us that our switch board amongst other things were bad and not communicating with our heater therefore wouldn't heat our house this winter and that we would need to replace it (for a ridiculous amount of money of course). I felt a little strange about said company so I called courtesy and they came out to give a second opinion and I'm so glad I went with my gut. Courtesy fixed the issue with our heater in about a minute. The other company had unhooked a wire and hid it. They advised us how to fix an issue with our ac (that happened right after the first company was there) They came out today to do yearly tune up on our heater which I'm confident was actually done and done right. Rock&Theresa are extremely professional, knowledgeable, honest and kind they took the time to give us advice and be friendly they have been right on time with a clear phone call that they are on their way I've had no issue getting a same day or scheduled appointment with them. I highly recommend them for all heating and air needs. Also they are completely fair and honest with their prices. read more

oh my what a horrible company this is. The day of my service I was called by a lady to let me know that they were unable to come to my house because they drove by and noticed that I had a crawl space and her worker hurt his knee so they would not be able to come. First of all I don't have a crawl space I have a full basement. She then proceeded to tell me that all the houses in the neighborhood have crawl spaces. I assured her that I did not have a crawl space but a full finished basement. Then she told me that her daughter had an eye appointment and wanted to come by later. I told her that did not work for me. She then kept babbling other excuses and I told her that I would just find someone else. After I hung up I realized that this is so unprofessional and I called them in the first place because they had good ratings. To makes a long story short she called me back pretending to be the Owner and proceeded to cuss my out and call me a smart ass Bitch! I was so upset and crying that I had to call my husband to come home. I have never in my life been treated like this before. So if you are looking for a Professional Company don't call these people. read more
