Sales team is great to work with as long as you don't have to bring it in for service or warranty work. The service advisor offered no help when bringing vehicle in for a warranty repair. I was informed not to drive it and they couldn't take it in for a month. I had the vehicle repaired at another dealer in 2 days time without issue (dropped off one day and it was ready the next day by 10:00 AM). Avoid the pre owned side of Courtesy. I found a Silverado online to purchase from their dealership. I left the lot with a leaking tire, and they did agree to replace the tire because it had a sidewall leak. fast forward a few weeks, and I noticed they replaced the tire with a used tire that was a different brand from the rest. I called my salesman who told me to call him with any issues, (really emphasized how he really meant that and wasn't just saying that) and he told me they probably wouldn't do anything about it and sounded extremely uninterested in helping me. the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1, is because I do like my truck, but the service was terrible for a $50,000 purchase. my mistake for not checking and seeing all the 1 star reviews before hand. read more

I see a person I was traveling with left a review, but I'm going to leave one, too. As they said, we had warning lights go on and were very worried (it was not shifting or accelerating right). We saw this Chevrolet dealership and pulled off. Damian Leblanc was courteous, professional, and efficient - and honest. Some other person might have held us up for hours trying to figure this problem out, but Damian knew just what it was. He said by turning off the car and then back on, it would reset and probably be okay. It was. The light went off and it shifted fine. Unfortunately there is not a way to give a business lower than one star. My experience is with used car sales at Courtesy in Broussard. I learned first hand why so many people have come to dislike used car sales personnel. I have no idea what I was thinking but I actually thought I could trust a used car salesman. If this review keeps one person from stepping onto their lot and being swindled it will be worth it. While what the sales staff at Courtesy Used Cars did when I purchased a used vehicle from them was not illegal (barely), they are the most unprofessional, immoral and unethical people I have probably ever come across and had the displeasure of dealing with. I would highly recommend if you decide to do business with this dealership for whatever reason, do not assume you will be treated fairly and go in there with the mindset that they will definitely be trying to screw you over. Read everything very closely and trust nothing they tell you, look for it in writing. never buy a car from this dealer, I am very unhappy with this purchase. before they take money from you, they will call and text you every minute, then they will completely forget that you are. I bought a car from them online, when they sent the car there were a lot of flaws in it, the front camera was broken, the car was all repainted, the windshield was cracked, they didn't even change the brakes and oil, it was impossible to get through to them. I brought my truck in at 10 AM this morning and asked Rick to have one of the tires looked at. It is leaking air, and I cannot locate the leak to plug it. Rick said he had a few cars ahead of me, but he would take care of it. I said no problem, I worked down the road and as soon as the fixed the tire, I would come back by and pick it up. At 2:55 PM I had not heard anything about my truck, so I gave a call, told the receptionist that I needed to speak to Rick in service. She responded, confused, letting me know that the service department was gone for the day, and they would return on Monday. I explained that I had dropped off my truck to get the tire looked at, and I had not heard anything from the service department, and because no one called me before the service department closed, I would not be able to drive to and from work until Monday, to which the receptionist told me "Well I don't know what to tell you". read more

I have been using their service department to handle my GMC truck for over 13 years. They are always courteous and never push for extra stuff that I don't need. I've bought 2 vehicles from Courtesy Chevrolet, the first being a 4 out of 5 but the second one not so great. My daughter was looking for a newer model truck and instantly found one she could afford here. The salesman tells her she's looking at a monthly payment of about 360.00 a month. She agrees to this and we go in to sign the paperwork. The first thing out of the Finance managers mouth is your payments are 475.00 a month. Whoa, hold on podna. He then proceeds to explain that the price she was quoted was without a warranty. We tell him we're not interested in a the 100.00 dollar a month extra warranty. Well we finish the paperwork and take the truck home with my daughter grinning from ear to ear. Her first major purchase. She gets the family outside to show it off and the passenger front door handle won't open the door. I immediately knew what was wrong because Chevrolet makes them out of plastic and they do not cover this under warranty. I tell her to call the dealership in the morning to see if they would help her with this, seeing as how she just handed them 22,000. dollars. Nope, No help. You can set up and appointment with service and they can fix it for you but no we will not help with this. WOW, is all I can say. I stopped doing business with Service Chevrolet for they're business practices and now it looks like I have to scratch Courtesy off of the list too. Wouldn't buy a used vehicle here. They must not check out the ones they sell. My best friend bought an F-150 from them and turns out not not only the engine is shot but the transmission has broken parts in it too. He found this out in the first 1000 miles. He had to put in an engine and transmission and the dealer wants to give him $10,000 for the vehicle he paid $13,000 for and had to put $6,000 dollars into. Think that's fair? read more

Said when you say $20,000 it could mean anywhere from $20 to 29 thousand. Then insulted me by offering 1/3 of what my trade-in was worth. Bait and switch. Disgusted with my experience at Courtesy Chevrolet in Broussard. The short of the matter: I was offered $1000 off and a towing package to stop me from walking out the door. I received $500 off and a towing package. Give Chuck Voorhies a try at Service Chevrolet in Lafayette, if that location is good for you. Note: Courtesy Chevrolet is the closest Chevy dealer to my home: ~7 minutes. It was important to me to make a purchase close to home; I hate wasting time in traffic. I assume(d) the perks (oil change, car wash, etc.) a dealer gives you are only honored by the dealer you purchase from. Any issues that come up with a new vehicle I prefer the seller to handle it, thus I was highly motivated to seal a deal right near my home. Additionally, I wanted to finalize a deal soon because my truck is used for business. Details: Courtesy Chevrolet had a sale on 2015 Silverado Custom for $24988-$25488. (The custom is a LS model with few upgrades in trim and wheels. It has everything I need except for tow package.) My wife and I go in and we tell Charlie Porter we would like to look at the trucks for the above price. He shows us a line of 7 to 9 trucks and we choose one to test drive. After he gets the key, I offer him my key so a trade-in value can be worked up on my 2002 Silverado while we test drive. He tells me that can be done later. Thus, our time ends up getting wasted later waiting for that. We sit down to look at the price and its $25998. I ask Charlie why the higher price and he says one of the incentives is from a financing company that doesn't finance company vehicles and so I don't qualify for that incentive. As a business owner of 17 years, having to pay more because of being a business is nothing new to me and his reason sounds legitimate so I don't question it any further. The price is still good to me but I don't apply it to memory. The next thing I notice is only $1000 for my trade-in, it is a 2002 Silverado V8 1500 extended cab less than 136000 miles very beat up but also running very well (the 2002 down shifts smoother than the 2015 - both automatic transmission). I'm disgusted with just $1000 but I'll go with it if they install a tow package on the new truck. I find $1000 and tow package (MSRP $770) disgustingly low for my 02 but I want to get the deal done. Charlie walks out and comes back with Justin Maddox. Justin tells me the best they can do is split the tow package cost in half with me. I take it like a second slap in the face and tell him I'd like to make a phone call. I call Service Chevrolet and ask for Chuck Voorhies. I ask him if they have any 2015 Silverado Customs. He wasn't familiar with the Silverado Custom but said they had many different trucks. They close in one hour and it could easily take 45 minutes to get there but I tell him I'm coming. Seeing that we're leaving Justin tells us he will give us the tow package. (At this point I don't care what he has to offer, I told Mr. Voorhies I'm coming and that is what I'm going to do.) I say I already told them I'm coming and Justin then says he'll take $1000 off and says $25498. My wife expresses her concern that Service Chevrolet may not have the truck we want and wants me to take the deal and so I say OK. We sit back down in the office and sign off on the new quote (old quote is no where to be seen). Charlie and Justin leave and I start looking at the break down of the new quote. $25498 is there on 5th line of 15 lines of values but the last line 'balance remaining' doesn't seem to be anywhere near $1000 less than previous quote. I asked my wife didn't he say $1000 off? She said yes and then pulled up a picture she had taken of the old quote. At this point it's clear I signed off on a quote that's not a $1000 less. I choose to keep my mouth shut, finish the deal, and get away from these people. Was told truck would be ready the next morning with tow package. Was notified after 2:00pm it was ready. My phone conversations are automatically recorded! (Sept 18 11:36am) 2 days after the sale Charlie calls me and ask how's the truck. I say, "I was very irritated with the whole charade that went on over there, the guy (Justin) told me, to keep from walking out the door, he was going to knock the price down a thousand. I know I didn't walk out of there with a thousand off." Charlie replies, "I thought he did." He apologizes twice says he going to look at the paperwork and let me know. (Sept 18 12:19pm) Justin calls me says he said $500 off and never said $1000. I'm not going to argue with him so I say well I don't have video recording of it. He says we have video recording with audio and even says he would be happy to let me look at it. I never heard from him again. In 2002 the 1st price Chuck Voorhies at Service Cheverolet quoted me for a new 2002 Silverado was better than the numbers I pulled up in my research. Not having to haggle and a straight forward buying experience had me remembering his name for 13 years! read more

I was told the repairs would take two days three max. Two weeks later I still didn't have a vehicle. When told that a driver was coming to pick me up, it took two and a half hours to get to me. Once I arrived, wouldn't you know it my repairs had just gotten finished. As if they were delaying in order to avoid giving me a loaner car. When reviewing my service order, over half the things that had previously been diagnosed as needing repaired didn't get repaired. Apparently the problems had magically corrected themselves. On top of that, a new item that most likely should have been warrantied didn't even get looked at for warranty, but instead I had to raise the question when it was brought to my attention to pay out of pocket. I then was told it would take just a couple minutes to check. I had waited over two hours for a ride, and was at this point late to a meeting. I asked if he could call me to give me results of warranty conversation. He said it would take just a few minutes and then he would call. That was three days ago, and I haven't heard back since. On top of all this. I brought my vehicle in for a rattling in the back seat. When picking it up they said it was the back seat support brackets, and I have begun to hear a new type of rattling. As if they had done something to cause this increased noise. I realized later on the original noise was caused from my door panels, and now I have a second issue due to their "diagnosis". Service was poor to say the least, and I felt like new problems, not all have been mentioned here, seemed to have appeared. One of the worst experiences all around I've ever had. read more

We purchased a preowned Yukon from a different dealership in Lafayette that doesn't even sell GM vehicles, about 5 days into owning the Yukon a check engine light came on. The code was for a transmission issue. I called Courtesy Chevrolet to see if they could look at my vehicle as it still had part of the GM 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty and they said they would. I brought it in and they even gave me a loaner at no charge to me while they had the vehicle in service. They then called me up later that morning and said that my transmission was just a bad wire harness, but my radiator is leaking. This wasn't covered under warranty and it would be about $1200 to fix. So, after working with the service department and my service advisor, they were able to get my cost down to help me with the repairs. I am so happy that these people went above and beyond to help me get the transmission issue fixed for so little. Thank you and I will be a returning customer. read more

Was shopping for a Tahoe, told the sales staff my credit could be questionable and not to pull it more than twice if it didn't look like a go. After receiving over 8 different letters from lending banks I called to ask why they did this. Of course NO ANSWER, finance lady was an idot, and then to top it off one bank had approved it and they never told me. Finance LADY blamed the sales person. If you need help because of credit problems these people will surely make it worse on you by pulling your score till they run it in the ground. Of course finance lady didn't know that either. Do yourself and your credit a favor buy somewhere else!!!! read more
