I came in to the service department for a routine oil change. I dropped it off and went to visit some friends. I received a call from the service department stating they recommended my air filer and my windshield wipers be changed. I informed them no, that I could do this myself. They then informed me that the technician would "button everything back up", and my vehicle would be ready. I then went and picked up my vehicle. I asked the young lady there how could my air filter and wipers be bad because this was a new truck, less than 10,000 miles. She informed me I had dragon fly's and bee's in my air filter, and the filter was starting to crack. My windshield wipers were beginning to streak. I just laughed because I park my truck in the garage, where it stays, and as stated, it has less than 10,000 miles on it. I took my keys and left. On my way home, I stopped and bought an air filter at a local parts store, even though my air filter's life, according to my instrument panel, was at 75% still. I then went home. Once home, I watched a couple video's regarding the changing of the air filter and then I went outside to perform the maintenance. There were six screws that had to be undone, one clip, one clamp and to remove one wire holder from the base. My point is that this took some time, not a couple clips and done. Once I had everything removed, I lifted the cover and removed the old air filter. This is why I am upset. They did nothing to clean the old filter, didn't removed any of the dragon fly's, nor any of the bee's. They didn't blow out the old filter, just left it with all the dead bugs on top of it, on the bottom of it, in the filter box itself. I was so upset that this dealership didn't have the professionalism or decency to clean it out and blow the old filter off. Because I didn't buy their air filter, they just put the old one back in as it was and tightened everything up. So once again, Ray's Chevrolet Service Department has shown they don't care about the customer, no customer service skills at all. Their technicians don't appear to have a clue. Is that what the world has come to? If it's not in the book, don't do it? When I bought this truck for $63,000, I also bought the lifetime oil change package as long as I use Ray's Service Department for the work. I'm almost to the point right now that it would behoove me to find another dealership, once that actually cares not only for the customer, but the actual vehicle itself. I purchased a new battery from Ray Chevrolet in January 2019 that required warranty replacement there approximately 11 months later in December of that same year. Yesterday, this particular battery tested "bad" and I was told by their service department that the warranty date is configured using the original, defective battery, purchase date. You guessed it...the 42 months warranty period for the original battery expired 3 months ago, while the replacement battery installation date is still within the 42 months warranty period! While I understand "prorating" a warrantied product for the purchase of the replacement product, rolling back the warranty period to the original battery's purchase date seems inappropriate...a product warranty is meant to guarantee THE actual product that the customer owns/uses. Very disappointed with Ray Chevrolet. read more

I'm am sick over the way these "men" treated me while I was stuck on the side of the road in a ditch, in the pouring rain! By the way we have bought 2 vehicles from this dealership. Ol' Mr. Mike Hardy HUNG UP ON ME as I was crying in the rain, fussing at him about the extended CRAP they sold me. "You call us no matter what! You let us take care of you!" It is EXTREMELY possible I had not understood the crap they sold us and had no clue what I was talking about! But I was UPSET! On the side of the road! In a ditch. In the rain! And he HUNG UP on me. Ol' Mr. George Mascotte, yeah he could have cared less that his salesman hung up on me. Everyone is buying cars, boats, campers, etc. I'd skip Ray Chevrolet in Abbeville if I was you!! Last night around 9:00 pm our Chevy Silverado overheated with a broken water pump. We had to park and leave it directly across the street from Ray Chevrolet. This morning at 7:00 am my husband went to the dealership to see if they could fix it for us. We are from VA and currently on vacation in LA....so not current customers. HOWEVER, 3 hours later they had retrieved the truck and repaired the truck!!! Purchase your next vehicle from Ray Chevrolet....service there is awesome!!! I used KBB to get a insta-cash offer. I was contacted by Alexsys Paulus who then forwarded me to John Jones and then to a "Tommy" regarding my 2011 JKU. I have the insta cash offer from KBB (which I was willing to accept far under the market value) just to get rid of this Jeep and get a used Tahoe for my family as a 3rd backup vehicle. This was Wednesday 11/11/20....I keep getting the emails from the company that my "deal" is running out but they refuse to give me an offer even though KBB valued my vehicle at 13.5k (a good 2-3k under value, but I know this is their profit margin) 11/12/20 a =t 412 pm I receive a phone call from Tommy who says "John cant handle your sale so I will. He proceeds to asks some descriptives about my vehicle and asks for pictures. I supply them two different times. Tommy says he will get in touch with me in the morning (11/13/20) and we conclude the call. 11/13/20. I wait all day at home assuming this phone call will come through so I can sell my Jeep and buy the Tahoe that I have on reserve at a competing dealership. No call comes in. This is after I speak to Alexsys, John (2x) and Tommy regarding the Jeep. It seems because I was a Lvl 2 FCA certified mechanic that I wont let them tire kick me over the value of my Jeep. I texted John at 3.24 and told him that they have 30m to reply with an offer. He gave an excuse about them being busy. NO ONE is that busy to give an offer when you receive the pictures. It should already have been done. So, when I said I was moving on and purchasing the Tahoe w/o selling my jeep due to their lack of communication. "Ok, thanks for your time" Yeah, thanks for wasting 3 days of my time you bunch of shyster clowns. I hope I can just drive 1 person away from your terrible business and I will consider that a victory. read more

I scheduled a 7:00am appt so I could get in and out for service and get back to work on time. When I drove up about 10 min before there was several vehicles already in line. I was very please that they took the vehicle right away and had it out to me by just shortly after 7:30. The ability to sched a early morning appt and the fact that it was taken and finished on time is very important to me and I am please to say that for my 1st service appt since buying the new vehicle I am a very happy customer. I only found out about this place because the dealership personally called me to inform me of some specific trucks that I might be interested in. They have one of the largest selection choices in the state! The sales woman was absolutely great and was very kind and informative throughout the whole process despite being a new employee. I found EXACTLY what I wanted without having to do any after market work on the truck. I liked that anything she was unsure of, she went to find an answer from others rather than guess. I didn't give it a perfect rating because the financing part was a nightmare. I sat there for 4 hours waiting on financing before I finally got it myself through my own bank. Despite my excellent credit, they couldn't get me approved saying my credit history wasn't long enough. But after all was said and done, it really wasn't that bad and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend this dealership! read more

I had been considering getting another vehicle for a while. I searched the Internet and had a particular vehicle in mind. This vehicle was available at Ray Chevy. I requested more information about the vehicle and was immediately sent information by Kimberly Hall. Mrs. Hall was prompt with her response and was always available to answer every question I had. She provided me immediate service and remained in contact with me while I made the decision to purchase. She never intimidated me or pressured me into buying, she just made sure all of my questions were completely answered and she was available to me. She was very knowledgeable and when I was ready to buy, the process went really quickly. She allowed me to test drive vehicles, still with no pressure. And when my selection made, Mrs. Hall made sure all the paperwork was done smoothly and timely. All of the sales representatives were nice, but I was really impressed with Mrs. Hall for her knowledge, patience, and kindness. The finance officer was extremely nice as well. I cannot remember his name as I dealt mainly with Mrs. Hall. Ray Chevy has a a variety of vehicles and have very professional and kind people working there. Ray Chevrolet in Abbeville LA is the worst dealership I've ever dealt with. I bought a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ from there. The salesman made me a video of the truck and took pictures from a distance which had me to believe I buying a nice vehicle. After the truck was delivered, I saw deep scratches all over the truck, the truck has a waterless, and the remote start doesn't work. After contacting the sales rep and his manager to discuss these concerns, their response was "You bought a used vehicle." My response was yes but I wasn't expecting to pay $30,000 for a vehicle with these types of issues. They promised me they would work with me to help resolve these issues but it's been over 3 months and they're ignoring my calls and will not return my calls. I'm a Very very unhappy customer and their vehicles and service are terrible. I'll be glad to send anyone the pictures and videos they sent me before I bought the truck and after I received it. Totally misleading. read more
