We had to take our shoes off at the front and then they escorted us back into the room. We had both a male and a female masseuse and we were able to talk and laugh while we got our massages. I explained that if I was already sending one payment that included the tip, I wasn't going to send a second Zelle afterward. I included a $15 tip, but instead of appreciating it, I was told they have "recommended" tip amounts and that they were already giving me a discount. Let's be clear: purchasing a Groupon is not the business giving me a personal discount--it's a promotion they choose to participate in to attract customers. If they have an issue honoring Groupon pricing, then they shouldn't advertise on Groupon. A tip is a courtesy based on the service provided, not something customers should be pressured or forced to pay at a certain amount before the service has even been performed. Because I wouldn't agree to tip what they wanted, they became upset and refused to provide the service, despite the fact that I had called ahead, confirmed everything in advance, and arrived on time for my appointment.
