You can't come to Greenville and spend the day at the Jazz Festival without enjoying a night out, and Coupe's Corner was the perfect choice! After spending the day downtown, we went back to refresh and headed over to Coupe's Corner for the evening. When we first pulled up and saw a line outside, we almost changed our minds. Thankfully, we stayed because the line moved surprisingly fast. We probably waited no more than 10 minutes, and we even met some really nice people while waiting. Once inside, we quickly realized the space is much larger than it appears from the outside. In addition to the indoor area, there's a patio space in the back that gives you even more room to enjoy the atmosphere. It was definitely crowded, but in a good way. The energy was great, the crowd was mature and age-appropriate, and the overall vibe was exactly what we were looking for. The music was on point, with different music playing inside and outside, giving guests options depending on their mood. The drinks were phenomenal, and our bartender was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Although they serve food, we didn't get a chance to try it because the kitchen was closing for the night. Since they're located downtown and close at midnight, the kitchen closes accordingly. However, our bartender shared that they're opening a second location that will stay open later, which means longer kitchen hours as well. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming. Service, atmosphere, music, and drinks were all top-tier. The only minor thing worth mentioning is that the hallway connecting the indoor and outdoor areas is a bit narrow and can become congested, especially since it's also where the restrooms are located. Overall, this place gets a solid 10 out of 10 from me. Great service, great drinks, great music, and an amazing atmosphere. The vibe was absolutely vibing, and I would definitely return the next time I'm in Greenville. read more

Coupes Corner in Greenville is such a vibe! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, lively, and inviting. It's the perfect mix of laid-back and upscale, whether you're there for date night, girls' night, or just to treat yourself. Let's talk about the drinks because whew the key lime pie martini was everything. Sweet, smooth, and dangerously good. And the strawberry cheesecake shot? Baby. Dessert in a glass! You can tell they put thought into their cocktail menu. Now the food? Chef's kiss. The glazed shrimp had the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the seared ahi tuna was fresh and flavorful. But those maple sautéed Brussels sprouts? I could've ordered a second plate just for myself. I also love that they switch it up with events, R&B nights are a whole mood, and if you catch them on a Wednesday, the outdoor patio is the perfect spot to unwind. Service: The bartender, Josh, was excellent. High energy! We told him what we liked and he took it from there. He makes his own strawberry and ginger beer syrups, and some type of dehydrated berries. I really appreciated his creativity. Ambiance: The venue is a nice spot for socializing. Bar area, comfy chairs, and high-top tables. I understand that there is often live music or karaoke. Food: Had six wings and fries. Nothing too special about the flavor profile. Affordable pricing for food. Drink would have been about $12, but we were there during happy hour, so 50% off on drinks. Okay...so we are probably late to the scene once again because...well I hardly go anywhere outside of work and church...I'm not for the heat in these streets...however...I digress. Anyway, the husband found another spot in Greenville that has a great vibe and it's a black owned. Tonight we slid on into Coupe's Corner and I must say I loved the atmosphere! It's right in the heart of downtown not too far from Flour Field and Gather Greenville. They are open Wednesday-Saturday (hours will be posted in photos on my second post) and they have live music! They have a nice selection of "adult" beverages and appetizers and we decided to order Brussels Sprouts for starters. Josh and I ordered a chicken quesadilla with fries and Hubs ordered the Jerk Chicken with a side of Cabbage. The food was delicious but AJ, one of the owners of this establishment told us that we missed out and should have ordered the Oxtails Grilled Cheese...he says it's FIRE!! I think it was great that AJ sat down to chat with us for awhile and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Our server answered a lot of my questions about the menu (pointing out the Gluten Free options), the hours of business and told us that they host private party's on the days that they are not open to the public. So if you're hanging out downtown Greenville, SC, or looking for a nice spot to have food and drinks, stop by Coupe's to show some love and support!! read more

My experience at Coupes Corner was amazing and very vibrant business friendly spot. The manager was able to grab our attention from off the sidewalk to invite me and my family members to this location. Also, Greg was polite enough to squeeze us in a reservation midday. And by the end of the night, I was able to shake the owners hand. Last, but not least the special wings with the coupes sauce was amazing. It reminds you of chicken and waffle waffles. read more

We had tried setting up a birthday dinner here bc of the ambiance and unfortunately missed some communication from the owner so it got booked out but the way they handled everything couldn't have been better even the security upfront is amazing!!! Way, way, way too loud. Turn down the volume and this would be a good place- right on Main, with the interior open to the sidewalk.

We were just looking for a quick drink before our reservations later in the night and stopped in to what became one of our favorite bars of our trip! The vibe was impeccable, the staff were engaging and welcoming, and our drinks were AMAZING! Our extremely talented bartender, Josh, made each of us our own personalized drinks based off a quick description of what we were interested in having and was SPOT ON! Each drink was delicious and surpassed our expectations. We were only disappointed that we didn't find this place earlier in our trip! Nice weather in Greenville on a Friday afternoon, was across the street at Gather and not a table to behold. Noise level was incredible (all good). Looked across the street and saw Coupe's Corner. Seemed quiet and inviting. Walked in and four or five people at the bar and one table finishing up their meal. This is in the old Smiley's location which I've never experienced and Coupe's opened roughly mid-December. Waitress was very friendly and prompt. Three of us ordered pork belly sliders, brussel sprouts and chicken quesadilla appetizers. All were delicious - like the cook really cared about presentation and taste. Had a couple of Manhattans which were very good as well. Reasonably priced. Band was setting up as we were finishing up, my understanding is they have a variety of music most nights of the week. Even though Coupe's is relatively new, they didn't have the "new restaurant chaos". Highly recommend and will be a frequent customer. read more

I went to Coupes Corner tonight with my son craving some Jerk chicken. Upon arrival I was asked by the hostess if we had a reservation I said no he said oh well we're having a private event so we're booked . I asked to make a to go order and ordered drink while we waited. Now while waiting we stood then sat once a seat became available. Now afterwards I noticed the host allowed others in with no reservations two of which I knew personally so they told me they had no reservation and he didn't tell them no. Ok no issue , I waited over a hour for my order asked waitress and hostess where is my order they both claimed it was up 15 minutes later went by still no food. I go to the owner and advised it's been over an hour and no food he shrugged his shoulders and walked away from me. I told the waiter I would like a refund he apologized said he had three call outs. It wasn't the fact that I waited over an hour and no food but the biggest issue was the owner not taking accountability nor being apologetic.
