My bad luck STOPPED when I met COUNTY WIDE SERVICES! Every single detail of this process was timely, professional and worth 5 stars. From my first meeting with Matt to every email, text message, update, mold restoration, HVAC folks, rebuild and then cleanup..... I have been continually impressed! These guys KNOW what they are doing. My insurance adjuster was less than stellar, to say the least, but Matt and Britney and all of their staff fought hard for me at every turn. They have a passion for what they do, expertise knowledge on mold, insurance companies and all the ins and outs of the confusing parts of this process but most important they have integrity. Hard to find now a days. They also dealt well with all my stress! Who doesn't have stress when your house is filled with mold and under construction and your fighting with your insurance!?! We hired County Wide Services to conduct the water damage and mold remediation work in our kitchen after our sink fixture leaked under our island cabinetrỵ Mark, the owner, came by and explained the process start to finish. We addressed several concerns of ours regarding the use of harsh chemicals as well as the fact that we dídnt want to pay out of pocket for any portion of the job with the exception of our đeductable. Mark assured us no harsh chemicals would be used as his practices are also employed in NICU hospital wards. They said the mold remediation would cost around $1,200-$1,500 and if more needed to be billed, they would talk to us in advance and would either shift the costs elsewhere or reduce their bottom line in order to stay within our coverage limits. Also included in the total mold remediation bill was the hygenist testing; hence our concern as we đidnt want to pay out of pocket. After they did not follow any instructions, by using chemicals we đid not want and billed our insurance for mold remediation in the max amount allowable, they agreed to pay our hygienist the remaining $240 dollars since they charged insurance more than what it was quoted to us. They also charged for things that were not even performed that had to be revised. Their workers also removed our reverse osmosis under the sink and without contacting us, they placed it outdoors with no protection from sun, dust, cold, rain and the system has been compromised costing a hefty $1,400 to replace. The company took zero liability and said its not their responsibility. The house was left with everything in working condition and this is how we expected to find it. We had to purchase for $270 a new inferior system and requested the company to reimburse us for this as compromise. We had to pay put of pocket for water bottles for weeks and this company has been a nightmare to deal with, and their communication within the company does not exist. Every single thing we agreed at our initial meeting with Mark was not respected. Including the initial quote. Our job was the best case scenario and very simple and they charged insurance $1,000 above their verbal quote. They used chemicals that we were completley against it, we never saw Mark or communicated with him, the thyme product they said they used were never used and their worker had no idea what that was, and would not recommend thẹm. Mark & his team did a very thorough job on my homes' mold remediation. I had to have 55% of it gutted due to toxic black mold which was heartbreaking, but Mark and his team were very professional, fast and neat. They took detailed photographs of every inch as they took it out and documented why it was removed which was excellent for my lawsuit against the seller and mark provided me with a report at the end. BEWARE-A 2 minute water leak, had this company leaving over 4 heaving duty fans for 8 days (we finally pulled the plug on them) - and all this without a written estimate even though we called and called an called. Home was a 2 story home where an occupant was trying to move in. Billed fraudulently for items that never even occurred. Talk to the occupants about completely unsubstantiated things like kitchen cabinet warps , that were completely no existent, and possible black mold in 2 areas of the home that again, non existent. Be VERY wary if using this company as we have had one of the worst experiences ever in over 35 years dealing with companies that work on residential real estate NOTE: And as for their response, they lie as well. We haven't paid the bill, because not only are there 2 charges on there that are NOT legitimate- they verbally quoted "No more than $2500" and the fraudulent bill came to over $3250.00!!! When questioned, Stephanie came back with items that weren't even done! She said they had a truck full of items, NOT TRUE! They had 1 black garbage bag of Sheetrock from half a small bathroom ceiling. She said they took carpet out, along with tack strips, NOT TRUE - carpet was flipped back and tack strips etc left exposed! But she has no idea, because communication with her husband and son seem to be pretty much Null. These three Never gave us a written estimate Even with repeated phone calls. I warned her then, that we would not be paying excessive fees. True they did charge for 3 days , but left the fans on for 8. Over drying can be a huge issue, as they should know. We had another company come and give us the low down and test for mold, which was clear. And Yes Stephanie, we do leave bad reviews when we have bad service-we've also left stellar reviews to places that deserve it. Your company definitely is not one that deserves it. If you don't see the error of your ways as a whole, I feel for you as you won't be in business much longer then. Oh and our Property Mgmt Company has Stellar reviews - Thank You So Much. Amazing company! It all started when we bought our first home, after 3 weeks of living in it we found mold LOTS OF MOLD! We called CWS & they came out started working to correct our mold issue that forced me (pregnant) and our 2 small children out of the home. Every concern & gut feeling on a baseboard I had.. they listened to me. The staff of CWS is kind, friendly, very professional & most of all HONEST! After getting all 4 of our bedrooms & master bathroom rid of mold we moved back in. I have still stayed in contact with Stephanie & the CWS crew when I have random mold questions & or when something doesn't seem right with my house (mold smell& a stinky slab) CWS came out & helped me with my new concerns. We hired CWS for mold remediation, wet insulation removal, new insulation and moisture barrier installation, and dry out of our crawl space in 2016. Initially we were positively impressed with the timely and clear communication of the Hodlin family who own and operate CWS. We were unimpressed with the recommended mold diagnostics consultant - Terry Asp - who is frankly a quack (waste of time and money). But we completed the aforementioned service through CWS subsequently. The entire service took approximately 6-8 weeks. Prior to completion we requested photos to document the work completed. The work was completed while we were out of town for a 2 day weekend. CWS began calling over the non-business day weekend demanding final payment. When we requested the photos of work completed, CWS denied our request and continued to demand immediate payment (still a weekend). We completed full payment without ever receiving photos. Flash forward to 2017, my husband entered the crawl space for the first time following CWS' "completed service" to discover that only HALF of the crawl space had an installed new insulation and moisture barrier. We were charged for the entire estimated square footage of our crawl space ($4611). The entire aforementioned service was significantly more expensive. After dozens of emails, texts, phone calls to Mark and Stephanie Hodlin and nearly 4 months time, we finally received a check for PART of the agreed upon HALF (LESS than the $2305.50). Mark charged us for $250 a "service call" in 2017 to remove wet "new" insulation and fix falling (failing) moisture barrier, all less than 1 year "old" from the 2016 CWS service. After documented voicemails stating Mark owed us HALF the $4611, he sent us $2305.50 LESS $250. He NEVER discussed a $250 charge for this "service call" which I inferred was a complementary service for an ineffective, poorly done original job. He repeatedly ignored emails, texts and voicemails reminding him to send our check for 7 weeks; and only sent the check for the incomplete amount after I mentioned involving a third party. We repeatedly provided CWS with patience, respect, and the benefit of the doubt over this 4 month period in 2017. They did not give us the basic leeway of 1 business day or photos of completed work before demanding final payment in 2016. CWS repeatedly treated us with disrespect by committing fraudulent work, avoiding timely communication, and engaging in dishonest and hypocritical behavior. CWS is highly unprofessional. I strongly urge anyone requiring mold remediation or crawl space services to look for a more trustworthy, professional, quality company. read more

Very prompt, let me know when he was an half hour away, which I love. Matt came in and looked all through our attic because our pest control inspector said she saw mold. He checked all through our attic, said everything was bone dry, no damage anywhere. What he found was old lumber mold that is harmless and just got wet when it was out there in rain at one time. He said he could cut it out and and replace, but that is unnecessary and would just give us extra cost that he feels isn't needed. I appreciate that as this could have cost us some money. He said if I was still concerned I could hire someone to come out and to a mold spore test in the room below where the limber mold was found. Maybe...we will see. I appreciate the honesty. Mold Remediation and water damage is not a picnic but CWS made the process so much easier because THEY CARE! Our Condo in La Quinta had black mold in an atrium/bedroom area that had to be gutted and cleaned. It is not cheap, but well worth it when considering the health risks. After the first remediation which a hygienist found, I got so sick again and they had to come out a second time to further investigate. Water damage and mold was found in 8 of 9 sinks. The company owners Matt & Mark went through the house with a fine tooth comb because they cared! They worked with my time line and what I was most comfortable doing. Stephanie was also a cheerleader in the process and always made sure things were moving along. In the end, because of Matt's suggestion to check with our insurance, we ended up having a claim that paid for the remediation and the ozone treatment. The team that did the work was excellent. However, the estimator provided poor service, and I had several unpleasant surprises. I was not made aware that there was a separate charge for testing. I was not made aware that the price would be double the estimate in order to restore the improvements that were removed. The source of the problem was a flooding due to a broken sump pump. After two weeks, County Wide asked for payment, yet the sump pump was not fixed and still sitting in mold infested water. The job still smelled strongly of mold. I hired my own plumber to repair and clean out the sump pump. I hired my own contractor to restore to improvements at a far cheaper price than County Wide quoted. I felt that the communication with me was poor, and that I was overcharged for extras, and that I incurred many delays due to the estimators inattention to the job.
