Prior to hiring these guys for a septic inspection, I spoke to one of the co-owners. He told me that as part of their inspection, they retrieve any and all septic related info from the DPH prior to the inspection and also inspect all of the distribution boxes. We ended up having the inspection, and I received the report from County Line. There was no mention of the condition of the distribution boxes in the report, so I did some research of my own at the DPH and at the same time, reached out to County Line. County Line did revise the report to include the distribution box info. However, they stated there were 5 boxes and also only spoke to the condition of one of them. The DPH info showed 7 boxes. I called County Line and spoke with Mike Norcross. He is the other co-owner and also performed my inspection. I asked Mike if he got the septic map from the DPH prior to my inspection and he said 'yes', and that he used that for his inspection. When I asked him why his map and report only mentions 5 distribution boxes and the DPH map has 7 boxes, he had no comment. This leads me to believe that County Line never retrieved/referenced the septic info on file at the DPH. I also asked him why he only inspected 1 box since I was told by the other co-owner that they inspect 'all distribution boxes as part of the inspection', Mike replied that he if checked all of the boxes, he would have been there all day. Needless to say, use another septic company...one that cares more about the consumer and actually does what they say they are going to do. County Line 100% knew about my concerns after I received the report as evident by the fact that I had these conversations with a member of the office staff as well as Michael Norcross, one of the co-owners. Again, my concerns were met with silence on the other end of the phone, no comment, or "if we inspected your d boxes, then we would be there all day". read more
