I like that beyond the delicious chocolate flavor, there's a very pronounced coffee taste. Almost as though I chased each sip with a handful of raw beans. I dig that. It's not bitter or overpowering though... more of a ballet of chocolate and coffee. With so many stands to choose from, I'm glad to have given MB more than a passing glance. I've tried any stand I can find now between the coast and bend, and there are some decent cups. But I like the taste and service here best yet. Global delights comes in second.

When my fiancé and I travel, we love to try out local coffee joints because it allows us to try out stuff we don't have back at home. Plus we freaking love coffee so that's always a plus. I think he got the milky way one with a few extra shots, I got the go ducks drink and I can't remember what his sister got. All I remember is after we all took a sip of our drink, we all said "oh my goodness, that was so good" and "it hit the spot!" We (my fiance and I don't normally say that at all regarding any chain coffee shops). Fast lane coffee isn't one where you go in and order, but you order it from what looks like a little barn/shack in your car (pretty cool so when it's super cold, you don't even have to get out of your car!) Prices are reasonable, at least for me. I think my drink cost me $3.75 or something? The way I see it is I'd rather pay that amount for local coffee that is brewed there than pay that amount or more for commercialized coffee. All in all, I would come back here to try more of their coffee drinks. I wish I had a bigger stomach so I can do that but it just means I'm going to have to come back to try it!

The drink was okay, I don't love when it's liquid flavoring I prefer powders for a richer and better flavor. Syrups tend to have a slight artificial flavor. So it's not my favorite. Overall it was a quick and did the trick for my caffeine search.

It's not a huge adjustment but it's still more than what's on the board and should be updated nonetheless. Both sides are easy to access for drive thru though note that there's stuff on the side so not for wide vehicles. It's right off the corner of 99 so there's a light and access in two different areas to get in there. Makes it nice when there's traffic. I appreciate they are one of the last coffee shops that I know of that actually use powder flavoring vs only syrups. IYKYK powders are way better.

As far as the last few months it seems their hours vary & workers may or may not be there during "business hours" or open late etc. it seems to be more consistent lately. Hopefully that continues. Their menu for food changes a lot. We got biscuits and gravy and it's definitely just a can of gravy poured over some frozen biscuits- understandable but not top notch. Other owners used to make their food from scratch and have more options. The last 3 visits I've gone in the last month have all been lacking. From extremely slow service, to wrong drinks made, to using the wrong account, drinks being bitter, and being asked 4x what my drink is once another car rolls up on other side. Might help to write them down if it is too hard to remember. Then given wrong drink. I feel like it was really delicious and consistent tasting, but I have not been impressed lately. I'm not sure what's going on. We like this place since it's a small business and we always try to support the ever changing small business folk, but I'm hoping things are better next visit.

It's not like going to a bad bar or even restaurant where you still can eat a few hours later. Coffee has a small window and a maximum amount of intake. That being said, this morning we chose wisely. Not only did we use Yelp but we backed up our decision with a google search and that took us to Reddit. Equiano was a top suggestion on both sites. And we understand why. The service was 100% top notch. Helpful. Friendly and knowledgeable, not only about what they offered but about the regions best shops! The coffee itself was very expressive. The Camaroon was totally my style with an earthier tone and the Chai was delightful. The outdoor seating was so very comfortable with a unique sort of panache that I would love to have at my neighborhood coffeeshop. The raked gravel was a nice touch. And even though they didn't have indoor seating with the drizzly day, it was a highlight that I will be repeating in our future travels.
