Early on, I asked what those were because $7.35 a shirt is way past my comfort level. On my last visit I noticed that my receipt listed 3 shirts to get hand finishing. I asked which three and why. The clerk pulled out three shirts and said it was because they contained polyester. 1) Many of my shirts are cotton/poly blends and Acclaim had been laundering them for months. 2) Two of the three shirts the clerk said required the special handling were 100% cotton. Maybe the clerk was just having a bad day but I was left with the feeling she was making it up on the fly. Now looking for a new laundry.

Picked it up a few days later and when the plastic was removed, it was clear that nothing had been done to it. I returned and gave them the option of fixing it or refunding my $4.32. Received a call from the owner the next day stating that it looked like it had just come out of a shipping bag. Responded that it had, and it took it to them to be pressed and it came back looking just like it did when I took it in. She claimed they had no record of it! I came to Sue's to make sure mine are soft, fluffy and ready for winter! .As I stated , it's about 100-104 heat index here so think about that while in a laundromat. I'm not afraid of a little sweat and this whole process was a little over an hour anyway. In the long run, I know it's worth it. . I walked in feeling like I had a "My name is Jodie, I'm new", sign on my shirt. Seemed like I stuck out and everyone in there knew each other but that didn't stop people from being friendly. I read the instructions on the front load washer. Exchanged dollars for coins. Bought a box of detergent and sat back to scroll thru X. (That's right. In case you haven't heard. Twitter is now X.) As you know, scrolling thru X and other media's will have your hour feel like 5 min. My fabrics/throws were done. On to the dryer. $.25 will get you 5 min of dry time. I put in 4 quarters since my load seemed thick. 20 min drying time. (Back to X) I grab my things from the dryer, and everything was perfectly dry! When I finally picked up my items, one of the coats was still damp, and upon checking it at home, I discovered it had multiple tears. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to return and complain since I was flying out the next day. If you value your time and your clothing, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. The employees were kind and courteous - this issue clearly lies with the business owner, not the staff.
