I just had the deluxe country burger, and the onion rings. The hamburger was excellent, very delicious. Not overly juicy, and not too dry, just right. The onion rings were also delicious. A great flavor and not oily at all. I could eat lunch at country burger every day. read more

I really liked this no-frills burger joint, where we grabbed dinner after a short drive from our campsite at the nearby county park. They have a full menu of burger choices, with many creative options. They have tots too, and really good ones as well. They tout their shakes, but we didn't indulge on that. I've been waiting 2 years to try this out!!! Ever since I moved in to the area. They temporarily closed during the pandemic and The Baked Cafe (from Camano Island) took it over. Ingredients are SO good. The quality is great. I got tots and tried the mushroom bacon Swiss cheeseburger. It is a little greasy but I think it was great for the vibes of a good American burger. Service was great. Everyone who worked there was so excited to be there. Right now they have limited hours 4-8pm but I've been mainly getting updates from their Instagram on all things new. After a great first visit, had to return to try another burger! The ambiance is cute and the service is great. I tried the deluxe cheeseburger the first time and thought it was awesome. The staff at Country Burger were friendly and looked clean and tidy! The Deluxe Cheeseburger tasted great, but was skimpy on lettuce & onions. The fries were also good but I dusted off the excess salt. There was clean nice indoor tables or outside seating under a patio or a choice of picnic tables in a park like setting. We looked at the photos on their website and yelp before we ordered and called our order in. Let me just say the pricing is double what the online menu says!! We were shocked to pay $60 for two burgers, fries and 2 shakes. They up charge for every single thing and the "combos" that they show online don't exist. Definitely feel we got scammed because once we got there to pick up the order that was already made and heard the total we felt we had to just buck up and pay. Hungry for a burger, decided to take a little drive and check out Country Burger. I did the drive thru ordering, which they have set up pretty well. Everything is made to order, and have two spaces specific to drive thru to wait however it was pretty busy this day. I parked in front and was told it would be longer than normal which was okay for me. I had the bacon and blu burger. The burger patty is hearty and was not greasy. The bacon was thick and well done. I like my bacon crispy and it was that, not that floppy stuff. The blu cheese was not overpowering. If anything, it could have used a little more. All that plus the lettuce and tomato made this a filling meal. Added on the waffle fries which appeared to be fresh cut. They were cooked to the right amount of crunch. They offer a dipping sauce and I chose the house made tartar. I have to check out the fish and chips next time just to have the tartar again! Also had a blackberry shake. Fresh fruit and a good thickness, although the heat in the car melted it while waiting for the rest of the food so I had it quickly. If you are going to take-out, there are two lakes nearby. Along Lake Ki there is parking alongside the road. If you can find a spot you can watch while people kayak. read more

My burger has mustard on both side of each bun and it overpowers all of the other flavors besides the saltiness. The burger is dry and so are the fries and the salt sucks out all the moisture in your body and food. The cashier seemed like they didn't know what they were doing and our order was wrong... I did a pick up order through the phone and they asked me for my number, assuming they would call/text me when my order was ready... they did not and my food was cold and they made me wait for the correct order while they served others before me. Country Burger is a good burger joint, run by a young, creative, hard-working crew. The store is pretty clean (which, as you know, is a big deal for this old kitchen manager) and the food is well-prepared. Hot stuff is hot, lettuce, onion and tomato are cold and crisp, the bread is not stale. They have a few decent beers on tap, and PBR and Coors too, for the rest of you who want what leaves your body to more closely resemble what went in, in color and flavor. The usual punches that family joints pull are pulled here; their cash cow is the massive tourist/vacationer crowd that hits Lake Goodwin and Lake Ki when the temperature exceeds 60 degrees. That means nothing is too flavorful, and the chili fries are as spicy as...eh, my similes tend to offend, so let's just say the chili cheese fries are more of a meaty Velveeta poutine, really. Everything on the regular menu is mostly safe and approachable, except for the ever-changing specials board. A three-star joint that could be four, with some minor changes. So why one star? Simple: an employee keeps a dog tied up outside in the yard, by the outside tables. This dog seems very lonely and sad on his short (maybe four-foot) rope, with no comfort, toys or shelter. He deserves better. He needs a bath, for starters. He needs something to do besides bark at customers. He wants a happier, cleaner, gentler place to be. To the dog owner: He's been a good dog, waiting for you all day in the dirt with nothing soft to lay on, no escape from rain or sun and maybe three positions he can put his body in without strangling himself. The one time you came out to tell him to be quiet, I was stupefied...he actually wagged his tail to see you! God that's sad. Your treatment of that poor old beast ruined my meal, my entire experience there. You could have served me aged filet with foi gras and mushrooms, fiddle heads with morels, fresh peas and thyme in a light wine and caper sauce, and potatoes Anna, with cardamom ice with almond twuile for desert... and I would have given you the same damned one star review. Fix that, please. It's not on him; it's on you. I leave you this curse, Burger Bonehead, whoever you are: if you blame or punish your dog for this in any way, nothing you do for the remainder of your so-called life will ever, ever, ever succeed. Ever. You will die unfulfilled and neglected, like your pet. If this angers you, congratulations: you ARE cursed. But, if this instead motivates you to take better care of gentle, innocent souls like your pooch that depend on you for their every happiness, then no worries: no curse. Have fun with that. Like many, we waited 2 yrs for the opening. We liked the homemade hamburger buns and ground beef patties, the f.fries are enough to share. Liked the shakes but found ice milk bits, still refreshing on a hot day, nice, clean bench outdoor seating. Staff were pleasant. Ok... I'm coming in a star short because I couldn't help but compare to the previous version of Country Burger that was open before the pandemic. This version has new owners? / managers? I had been waiting (impatiently) for this place to reopen over several years and FINALLY last week I saw it was open. Now keep in mind, I had been waiting for them to open because they had THE BEST french fries I'd EVER had. When I wanted good fries, this is where I went. For those of you like me, you'll have to search elsewhere because they have changed the fries *sob*. Gone are the crinkle fries with the perfect seasoning, the crispy outside and soft insides. Now they're the same fries you get elsewhere. Having said that, the burgers were good with a caveat... I had the Country Burger (minus the ham) and while I could tell it was a good burger, the mustard was a bit strong. Going forward I'll probably ask for no mustard... it's not my favorite condiment anyway. Now the crowning glory of the meal I had there and what will likely keep me going back... their milkshakes. The night we were there they had a special milkshake with Oreo, pretzel, and peanut butter. Sadly when it came for our turn to order, they were out of the pretzels but we got a very tasty Oreo and peanut butter milkshake. SO flavorful, SO creamy... it was delish! Be warned, the dine-in space is small... only three tables, I think? They do have a drive thru but it wasn't open yet. read more

Hope they can get their act together but so far I recommend avoiding this place. Had "deluxe" cheeseburger which was, to be kind, awful. Before I even tasted it I could smell the sulfated lettuce, an ingredient guaranteed to ruin any sandwich. The beef must have been from a cheap frozen patty source and the cheese was barely evident, swimming as it was in some soupy version of mayo. "Garlic" fries tasted like someone shook canned parm cheese over them, no hint of actual garlic. HUGE waste of money and a big disappointment. read more

I've heard friends talk about this place, and I'm actually not a huge burger fan. Well I had their bacon blue burger and added onion, it was delicious. My only complaint would be that my lettuce was super soggy and the burger was dripping grease, but I'd assume that most people like that? Well then I got a large fry, holy crap that thing was huge! If you compared it to McDonald's it would be like 4 or 5 large fries !!! Now my favorite part was the milkshake. Only bummer was it was like $4 for a shake I finished in two sips. You can definitely go 10000 other places and get a bigger shake for the same price, however it was really good. There was real blackberry in it, and the pieces were perfectly ripe. It was the perfect amount of thickness and the ice cream they used I'm assuming was vanilla because it was delicious! Their bathrooms are kind of small but they're very well kept and clean. I would have given them 5 stars, but they changed the fries and the normally delicious chicken sandwich was 2 chicken strips, good, but not the same. I'm being easy on them because rumor has it, they are in the process of obtaining new management. The root beer shake was yummy and the gentlemen who took order and the other who brought the food were so kind and sweet. Hope they get to continue working here if rumors are true. Most importantly, please bring back the crispy battered fries, not a fan of the skinny crinkles. Yummy burgers, some of the other dishes are just OK. The most annoying thing is they seem to close very early year round and they close mid day for food prep. Ofc those are the times we have stopped by for food! They are missing out on a lot of business because of their hours. read more
