Ummm where to start??Should've known pulling up at 6pm on a Saturday eve and no cars in parking lot. We should have walked out when saw glass door that was so dirty with finger prints and everything else u hardly could see inside. Saw a few takeout orders come in and out so we reluctantly then Ordered food at counter to then be told after sitting down they were out of what I ordered so I had to order something different. Sat down at table which was so sticky my forearms stuck to it, napkin holder on table was so dusty my finger left mark when drug it across it. Place looked like it had never been cleaned or updated in years. Lights above had bugs galore in lightcover, floors/baseboards dirty, fans above on their last leg/blades. Windows also needed cleaning. By then I still wanted to walk out but I needed to see what the food was like. Trying to give benefit of doubt. Service very slow, looked short staffed. Hoping they washed hands at some point no gloves used with server taking orders, collecting money and touching food/cooking in plain view. When food arrived it looked ok until I tasted the coleslaw it was very bad, looked discolored and tasted old needless to say didn't eat it after one bite, my husband spit his out, then came the fried fish, I wasn't impressed no flavor parts of fish was just batter no meat, also the batter didn't stay on onion rings so as soon as u picked them up batter would fall off onion, Hush puppies tasted old not fresh, definitely frozen great value brand or worse. Didn't finish our meal and that's not like my husband he always finishes. Everything tasted same probably fried all in same grease. Still can't believe we stayed and (ate what we could)of the food. I hope they improve if read this, we like to support local businesses that's why we decided to try COUNTRY BOYS but unfortunately we won't be back. The food was great. Great service! I like being able to call in my order and arrive to the food being hot and ready.

The new owners buy smaller chicken pieces and over cooks them. It is a hit or miss place. Sometimes the food is correctly cooked, but not every time. Parking is plentiful and the staff seem to be nice. read more

I've always enjoyed the catfish, fried shrimp, and chicken from Country Boy. Our out-of-town family likes it also. And their coleslaw is the best ever! Ms Rita, Mr. Joe, and their staff are great also. Always friendly service. The casual dining room gets busy at lunch time and dinner because Country Boy is known for consistently good food. We got the seafood platter! I got 5 shrimp 1 fish. He got 3 shrimp 3 oyster and 1 fish. Both came with hushpuppies cole slaw and French fries. We also got an order of onion rings! Delish! I was in HEAVEN! Especially after evacuating from hurricane Ida! I even went back for extra coleslaw. I do have to say I didn't care for the shrimp sauce. Very friendly staff. They are opened on Sundays until 3:00 pm. This is a great place to eat. The food is fabulous and the homemade tartar sauce is fantastic.

We chose CB restaurant because of the reviews already left. A funeral brought us to this small town and we wanted a meal that wasn't typical fast food. Country Boy was served hot and fresh by sweet staff. You walk in and place your order at the front then take a seat until your number is called. The wait was a little long and the tea is super sweet (which some love!) but the ice in the drinks is nearly snowcone slush and so cold - my fave! We had a catfish plate and a fried shrimp plate and they were both delicious. Would recommend this place for a solid meal if you're ever in Many. read more

Just git over the fact that it's a small town hole in the wall place. The food speaks for itself and the friendly hometown atmosphere makes you feel welcomed. The catfish and chicken is amazing. Crispy fried catfish southern style. The Cole slaw is homemade and vet good too. The chicken is like grandma used to cook it. Very disappointed fried catfish was ok wife had stuffed shrimp which was ok as well. Service was good.

The fish and shrimp are both excellent, though sometimes the fist is a tad too salty. They always give decent portions. Last time I went with my mother and she ordered the Angler (2 fish). Since the fillets were medium sized, they gave here four of them! The onion rings are a good value. Avoid the fried oysters and cocktail sauce like the plague. read more

What ya see isn't necessarily what ya get... Country fits.. Small place but plenty of seating for this rural area. Basically a fried menu but if you could say they specialize in fried they do it well! They must change the oil regularly and after a brief conversation with the owner they apparently take real care about their batters and cooking. I had the 'Angler' ( 2 good size USA farm raised catfish filets with 2 hush puppies that were good, fries cooked perfect, and some really good slaw.). Now Cole slaw is one of those foods that 'made perfect' varies by preference. This was very fine cut, good mix of purple cabbage, carrots, and regular cabbage made just right (for me) in that it wasn't runny, and wasn't dry. They had my diet DP too! read more

We were visiting in the area recently and wanted some seafood for dinner. After checking Yelp for recommendations, we chose Country Boy's. It's not much to look at in the dining area, but the good food more than made up for that. We had the combo dinner with shrimp, oysters and fish - served with fries, slaw and hush puppies. Wonderful! The seafood and fries were fresh, hot, crispy and perfectly cooked. They all had different batters. Even the cole slaw was especially tasty. All in all, our meals here were top notch. Prices were fair and the service was quick. We'll definitely be back when we return to Many. read more

In my quest to eat everything fried during my stay in Many, LA I ended up with my colleagues at Country Boy. This is an eat-in/take away shop in an old strip mall on a side road - very interesting locale - and VERY popular. 2:00pm and this place was hopping and we had to wait on line! We also ran into a few people we knew! Yea I now know people in Many! Staff is fun - obviously they own the shop - but the "cooks" are teenage girls and well it took a while to get our food - which normally would be A OK except hello I AM STARVING HA! To-go fried chicken livers! HA! Indeed! And savory morsels they were! I tell you this - I am a fried catfish snob and surely some of the TOP fried catfish I have ever eaten! oooh oooh crispy crunch corn meal batter - and greaseless! yummy! fried shrimp - holey moley - huge crispy flaky shrimp - YUMMS!! oooh I know the coleslaw was from a bucket - but I loved it! This place actually cost more than Fisherman's Galley - go figure - no service- styro foam and no panache - but hey = super tasty - ooh oooh fried oysters that were too die - like not the over done fried oysters but the meaty you can still taste the oyster fried oyster - a big YES! form my table read more

The food in this restaurant is great. Truly southern. Moderate prices, but definitely worth it. Big portions. The problem is there is a shortage of tables. We had to share with strangers because there weren't enough tables for all the customers. There was only one waitress for the entire dining area. Hole-in-the-wall restaurant that had me licking and relicking my fingers because of their amazing chicken. Holy smokes they know what they are doing! I ordered the Barn Builder (asked for dark meat - hubs had same but white meat) and coleslaw, rolls and your choice of pie. This is a 'drive out of the way to get here and try it' place. The fried shrimp that I ordered were very good but my favorite was the fried chicken that my wife shared with me. The meat was juicy and flavorful and the outside was crisp. A great little stop over for take out fish. The catfish and oysters are made in a batter of pure cornmeal, so my gluten allergic husband could eat there! The hush puppies were delicious- they were small and so moist yet crunchy on the outside- wish I had ordered a whole box of just those! Worst catfish I ever had at a restaurant. It was like cardboard cooked in old grease. Dinning area is small and it seems like only friends of the owner dare to eat here. Bathroom was old and dirty.
