The service from Audrey makes the good food, great! We were visiting with our family and Audrey was so accommodating and made great recommendations, including how to make dining with our kiddos easy. We enjoyed the red beans, gumbo, fried fish, and chicken strips. We'll make this a regular stop next visit to Natchitoches! Thanks for the great changing table in the restroom, making it truly family-friendly. read more

Really cute restaurant! Attentive waitresses and waiters. We went simple and had the gumbo, beans & rice, and bread pudding. Everything was delicious! Wish I had the bread pudding recipe. Oh my, best we have ever had! Highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Went here with a friend I got Crabcake Appetizer and side of Rice Dressing with 1/2 and 1/2 Iced tea. Crabcake needs more crabmeat it was good the rice dressing was a disappointment no real flavor next time I'll opt for Fries. Very nice atmosphere. Waitress was friendly and very attentive. I will definitely go back. My friend got Chicken Salad and she said it was excellent she really enjoyed it. We both plan on eating here again read more

Service is always great and atmosphere is awesome. The best chicken salad in town. Have to visit Merci Beaucoup at least once a week.

We've stopped at BeauCoup on Friday, 10/17/2025 and once again we were not disappointed with our lunch at this cafe in the downtown / historical district near the Cane River. Arrived during the height of lunch time on a Friday where it looked like there had been a large group (Good Sam Club?) in for a monthly lunch meeting as well as a couple larger groups. It was not long before we were seated at a front window table (our choice) and the drinks and lunch order was taken. The waitress (server, i think her name was Lexie) came by a couple times to check on us and alerted us that the kitchen had been "slammed" per the number of unexpected large groups. Not long after our food arrived. I had the garden salad with chicken along with a cup of red beans and rice + sweet cornbread roll. The husband ordered the crawfish etoufee which came with a slice of toasted French bread. The salad was loaded with diced chicken, the blue cheese dressing was good, the croutons were ho-hum -- I suggest the proprietors rethink the brand they purchase. Husband reports his plate lunch was good, I tasted it and found the gravy had a stronger than expected flour taste. No room for dessert. Visited the restroom, paid the bill and made our way back around the corner to our vehicle. read more

Natchitoches favorite for a reason! The meat pies were absolutely delicious--flaky, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and authentic Louisiana comfort food. We'll definitely be back! read more

A lovely restaurant with good service. However I cannot recommend for 2 reasons: their rice dressing and meat pie. Rice Dressing was swimming in a liquid that I can only assume was grease. The meat pie had very little flavor. Salad was fine though. read more

The chicken and sausage gumbo was really good and the portion size was filling and generous. The service was slow so I felt they needed more waiters. The atmosphere is nice. Loved the vaulted high ceilings and the brick patio. The location is perfect. Yes, I recommend this place. read more

Amazing food! I highly recommend. Service was exceptional. It's a lovely, cozy restaurant with the best food.

The shrimp salad had lots of shrimp, but maybe some eggs or vegetables with the lettuce would be a nice addition. It was very busy. The atmosphere was pleasant. read more

We ate lunch here today. Wife had been here several times over the past couple of weeks as she was in hotel across the street. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Server was very nice young lady. Food highlight was the mini meat pies as appetizer. The gumbo was just ok and the rueben was just not good. read more

I'm not going to complain about the gnats getting in two mimosas, and I'm not going to complain about the food that was clearly cooked from frozen or out of a box. And I'm not going to complain about the red beans coming from a can or the instant rice. I'm not going to complain about the gumbo that was just absolute trash. I'm here to say something good. The French bread was good. So if you wanna pay $72 and some change plus a tip for some good French bread, this is your spot! We will never come back here! FYI... the house salad dressing was so sweet that we saved a little bit to put on our French bread for dessert. We also noticed on the menu that certain crawfish and shrimp originate from a foreign country, which was shocking because the restaurant is in Louisiana. Helpful tip: Instead of paying $17.99 for the meat pie plate, just go to any local gas station that serves them and pay a couple dollars or so and save some money. I'm sure there's at the gas station comes from the same box as this restaurant. Service was good. The women's restroom was not clean and had garbage on the floor. read more

Cute little French style establishment with cosy interior. This was our first visit to this town and restaurant. We stopped in for a late lunch (they close at 3:00 PM). Simewhat limited menu, we both ordered the famous meat pie. It was fairly small in size, tasted okay but not fabulous. We wouldn't order it again. The rest of the food was okay/nothing outstanding. Pleasant but somewhat slowly paced service from our server. read more

Best restaurant in Natchitoches. The food is always fresh, cooked and seasoned perfectly and the service is second to none. So many good things on the menu, but something as simple as chicken salad is absolutely magical. When visiting Natchitoches, I will eat here again and again. read more

Every time I travel to South Louisiana, I make it a point to eat lunch at Merci Beaucoup. Lovely dining area. Terrific, friendly, attentive staff. And the food is outstanding. I always get mini-meat pies! Hot out of the oven, crust is perfect, the ground beef mix is nice and spicy. And the chicken/ sausage gumbo is perfect! I highly recommend this place to anyone driving through Natchitoches. read more

Today 16 of the ladies from my church drove almost 2hours to eat here and enjoy a day of shopping. We started with eating here at Merci Beaucoup. It was one of the lady's birthday so I had a cake made to surprise her and brought it with us. After everyone went in I brought the cake in and asked them to hold for us until after we ate. When it was time for the cake I went to retrieve it. A male employee informed me at that time that they usually charge you for bringing in a cake. I made the mistake of not asking him how much and said to put it on my ticket. When I received my ticket he had charged me $40 for bringing my own cake. I have never ever had a restraunt charge for bringing in a birthday cake. I told him I refused to pay that charge so he cut the price to $20. Not being a happy camper i agreed to the charge as not to make a scene. So, when my bill was rung up, what should of been a $25 meal was $66. So I went to him and wanted to know why it was so high. He charged me a $16 gratuity adding in the cake charge and an 18% gratuity. I pointed this out to him and he asked me what I thought i owned. I added my bill up by hand and he returned me $13. So for a $25 dollar meal I paid $53. His comment was that he could have sold us each a dessert at $10 a peice and made $160 . However he sold 16 meals at $25 each making him $400+. That's 16 customers and whomever they would bring back there to eat plus the people they would of told to go there that he just lost business from..There are other restraunts around the area. read more

Took a day trip to visit a friend and ate early lunch! I ordered the regional Natchitoches meat pie with dirty rice. The meat inside the pastry was delicious! The dirty rice felt like a lot of meat including the meat in the pie. It was good. My table enjoyed their meals, the crawfish looked especially delicious. Service was great, but we were the first customers when they opened on a Wednesday, so it wasn't busy. read more

Well this has always been one of my favorites in the area. But wehad lunch there recently for the first time in a while and noticed a statement on the menu of using foreign imported crawfish and shrimp. That is a big NO for me. Sorry, but I hope to learn in the future that this changes back to Louisiana or American ingredients only. read more

I got the Red Beans and Sausage, for lunch. The beans were so under cooked. The rice was way over cooked to the point I could barely even stir it together because it was sticking together like baby mush, it took 5 minutes to just get it mixed decently. It had zero seasoning. I tried to add salt and pepper and even hot sauce to fix it but nothing worked. It was so bland and just overall not a good meal highly wish it was better. The Service was good though. It's not a server's fault for the food, they don't cook it. My server was nice and polite. The general look of the place was nice and neat. So my major concern is the food as it is a restaurant. read more

So good. Potato topped with jambalaya and crab cake also so good. Always a stop when we are in the area

Food is good and the staff attentive. I had the bread pudding and it was delicious and warm.

Last chance for creole food before leaving their country and getting back to Texas, spotted this online, slight diversion, totally worth it! Right off the bat, the neighborhood communicates the culture, near the river, and pulling in front of the converted homestead in the tiny lot, I knew we chose well. Atmosphere flawless, inviting, with as much Louisiana in our blood, like home. Service polite and attentive. The food, eye-closin' good. Chicken/sausage gumbo, succulent, red beans 'n rice, satisfying, the crawfish ettouffe, divine, and the crawfish pies, perfect for son-of-a-guns to prepare for fun on waterways such as bayous! Lawdy, so flippin' good. It's only about 5 hours from home... maybe we can come back on crazy long Sunday drives? Is that desperate? Stop in! read more

Not sure how this is not #1. We ate here for lunch and tried all the things you should when visiting Louisiana. The mini meat pies are just enough and have a great flavor. Gumbo is good. Terrible service - hostess sat us at a table with 3 chairs when we had 4 people and walked away (had go hunt for an extra chair).
