They have reopened after the mandatory shut down with really beautiful hand crafted gifts, made by the owners and worker. Nice addition to the community! I bought my mom this cozy blanket at the beginning of March when she fell and broke her hip. She has recovered well so far and enjoys cuddling with her warm fuzzy blanket. The aroma of the store is soothing and refreshing. I highly recommend this place!

Inside, they have an exquisite selection of dishes available for purchase but look highly breakable so those with children should proceed carefully. If you go left you'll get to see what Tom's is most famous for, the coffee! You can select the coffee yourself through the plastic canisters or select a bag at the top if you can't find your flavor or are in a hurry. Some unique coffee flavors that they carry here are coffee cake and snicker doodle! I have yet to find those flavors anywhere else! Besides coffee, you are able to buy a variety of sauces from some of the local restaurants in the area. Not sure what they taste like? No worries! You are able to sample the sauces free of charge to determine which one suits your fancy. They also have a good variety of fudge, candy, and salsa available as well as a whole other section of the store dedicated to random household decorative items, "gifts" is what it probably should be called. In short, Toms is an excellent little shop in Binghamton that is a great source for any local or visitor to pick up some great coffee...or if you want some free sauce sampling.

The shop is filled with contemporary American handcrafts, jewelry, art glass, wood, pottery and kaleidoscopes. The owner was very nice and accomodating with all the merchandise I purchased. She took her time wrapping and packaging them properly so I can hand carry them on my flights back to Hawaii. I'd love to return shopping there if I make it out that way again.

It's jam packed with all sorts of neat, unique items that you don't find at the other big box stores. Nearly all of the inventory has educational value with a heavy concentration on free form play. My niece is exceptionally gifted and we struggle to find gifts for her that actually stimulate her. She's blessed with a mind that visualizes solutions quickly. I picked up several brain teasers I've never seen elsewhere, some card games that seemed as if they may challenge her and a hanging seat for my son that I've looked for elsewhere without success. The woman at the counter was incredibly knowledgeable about her products and took the time to go get a former demo item so I could be certain I was purchasing something I'd enjoy. I live several hours away from this store, but plan to make another trip down soon for birthday and holiday gifts. I wish she was closer to my house, but then again I'd spend a fortune at her store. This little trip cost me $250, but I have no guilt because they seem to be unique, well made toys with a heavy emphasis on educational components! I'll be back... Staff did not say hello when we entered but did say hello grudgingly as we passed by each other a little later in an aisle. Four or five staff/vendors were happily talking with each other, but no one engaged us at all, so we wandered around. Nice mix of furniture, housewares, China/dish sets, some jewelry, some cases, toys and some crafty-country themed items. I bought a deep Pyrex pie dish for $3 and a small tin container for $4. We would definitely stop back when in the area.
