Turns out it was missing the bearing and brought it in to have it repaired being it was still brand new and under warranty. We were told buy one guy we probably got a manufacturer defect, it happens. The next guy told us that we ran it with the break on and we are the reason it is broken so it will be 350 for the repair. Sent claim to stihl and they denied the claim due to what this asshole insisted happened. Kept telling my husband I'm not saying you're lying but .... Like my husband works with chainsaws at work and knows how to use them, he's not stupid and this guy kept inferring otherwise. Just went to pick it up to bring to another dealer for repair and they handed us the saw in pieces, covered in grease, in two boxes !! That is not the way it was given to them so why are they refusing to give it back that way. Horrible and absolutely unprofessional customer service. They have lost my respect and the money I spend at this store. I'll go elsewhere! If I could give zero stars I would. Hire better people ! Update- brought it to another repair shop and they said it is manufacturer defect and couldn't have possibly been our fault. They also said they are getting a lot of people with repair slips from agway on work that was never done. Ellis Brothers Furniture in Binghamton was the closest. I called and spoke to Tom Ellis who confirmed that they did carry the high-end carpeting I was seeking. I drove out to Binghamton, met Tom, and can't say enough about the customer service Tom provided. Tom went out of his way to make sure I was given a very competitive, affordable price, set-up delivery to my carpet installer, and provided me status updates on delivery times. Tom helped me pick out another Fabrica carpet for our historic home and this was delivered as well. My experience at Ellis Brothers Furniture brought me back to a time when businesses treated their customers like family. I sure felt this each time I spoke to Tom or his staff. Tom went out of his way from the moment he answered my first call through the time the carpet was installed at my home. I will surely be purchasing again from Ellis Brothers. Location is easy to find, parking lot is easier to find near building. The respect, service, honesty, selection, and value are surely the reason they have been in business since 1900.
