My husband and I went to Home Plus to look for a new mattress. I did NOT want to buy on line, because you cant see, or touch on lay on the product you're buying. Its seems too risky. Start to finish the buying experience was A+. Price was fair, delivery was prompt and they made my old mattress go away. The showroom is enormous, and the products seem to be well made. We love shopping Local and American Made, so Home-Plus will be our new go-to furniture store! Then they started lying to me. They said that they called me multiple times, however, I'm one of those people who always answer calls. I asked , it you've called me so many times why didn't you simply leave a voicemail ? The Manager, Chris refuse to even answer me. a clear indication that he was caught in a LIE ! In purchasing the piece of art and paying for it I had engaged in a contract . Homeplus ignored any and all legal standing of the sale. Frankly, I find their business model disgusting and illegal. They have zero concern for customer satisfaction and stealing is not beneath them. We were at the point of nearly giving up when we found one in the showroom at HomePlus that was similar to what we were looking for but not quite. Our highly knowledgeable salesman was the able to locate a couch that not only felt the way we wanted, but was in the style that we were looking for. Overall terrible experience. I purchased a sectional, a bunk bed, and bedroom set from them. Sectional... After less than a year, the sectional started to fray, and look 20 years old. When I purchased it, they told me to call back and they'll replace the cushions for no cost. I did. Then I heard nothing. I've tried emailing Mr. Jay Fanara on multiple occasions to no avail. I've tried calling the store where the person on the phone told me he'd have a manager call back within a couple days... nothing... Bed... When I moved last year, I set the baseboard on its legs, on carpet. My 2 year old son backed up into it knocking it over and sending it only with its own weight to the carpet. IT SPLIT RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE!!! For the finance options, they're great. And this was why we went there in the first place. My credit wasn't great and I needed furniture. BUT IM TELLING YOU ITS NOT WORTH IT. Before your payments end, you will be back to square one, with crappy or no furniture at all. Decided to stop in this place after driving by so many times, and considering I'm moving to a new place, I was in need of a bed. I was helped by a sales associate named Jeff , and I purchased a bed frame and mattress. What began as typical small talk turned into one of the creepiest moments ever. After completing my paper work and shaking hands, Jeff's voice got very low and quiet so his other coworkers didn't hear. He looks at me and says "By the way, you look amazing today, like really good. Would you want to get drinks sometime?" His breath was foul. I was stunned because not only was this supposed to be a simple transaction at a place of business, but Jeff looked to be in his 40's and I'm 22. Safe to say I declined his offer and speed walked out of there. I shivered in disgust. Overall insanely unprofessional sales associates preying on young women. They sell junky furniture and offer a promo to poor people ( let's tell it like it is here ) of year free financing . Once it hits that year mark you are charged with a exorbitant amount of money ( basically all of the money that you just paid on to your bill is now added back!) . So it's like starting all over again. I wish I was told this from the get go. I would've never signed up for it . We are very happy with the recliner we bought from HomePlus. The recliner was broken and would not recline. The store was very happy to replace it. The men that delivered it Leo and Brandon were polite and wore their masks and set up the chair for us and made sure we were happy with it. However we were disappointed in HomePlus communication skills. No call or text from the store to let us know they were coming. Not even a call to say they had our replacement recliner. The furniture is a very spacious loveseat and a large chair.John told us that most of the new styles if not power are sectional meaning they can come apart, so if we want to take out the middle piece we can and slide the cushion sections together we can. This is my opinion of the service provided by HOME PLUS. 2 years ago we purchased 2 Sterns and foster Estate mattresses. One was a queen the other a king size. They were fine for about 2 years when the queen size started going soft. The edge of the queen started to break down and would not support someone sitting on the edge without sliding off the bed. The center of the bed would sink in and became uncomfortable. I called Home Plus and they came to look at the mattress. The service man checked both mattresses and agreed that they were now different. These mattresses come with a good warranty but I was told that I was complaning about a comfort issue and that they would sell me a new mattress for half price. My complaint is that I purchased 2 expensive mattresses that were the same and 2 years later they are not close to the same. read more

we received furniture that was expensive and had also bought a warranty for the furniture in case it broke. we got a sofa from them and was broke upon delivery. the bottom drawer would and still does not open. the love seat that was a set piece of furniture to go with the sofa, refused to recline properly on the left seat./ still doea not work. We bought the furniture 1 year ago. we tried to get our furniture repaired or replaced with no luck even though we had purchased the extra warranty. the people working at Homeplus do not communicate effectively, and will not help unless you "hound" them. this seems to be typical of most places of business unfortunately. my only world of advice is go to a quality store to buy furniture/mattress. Homeplus is cheap in every sense of the word, don't belive the fakery during the sales pitch because all bets are off as soon as you give them money. read more

Me and my husband were searching for a new sofa and recliner during Covid. About a year ago we found home plus, their prices were pretty good, with good deals and discounts. So we bought a large sectional couch with a recliner for our living room. Well we found out real quick why their prices were so cheap. First, we waiting about 5-6 months for our sectional and recliner to arrive after I was told it would only take 6-8 weeks to come in (I was very patient with them knowing Covid can mess things up with shipping and what not). When my sectional finally arrived it was the completely wrong color, so back to square one waiting for them to send me the correct color which took about another month. Second, in the meantime our brand new recliner broke out of the blue. If you tried to recline it would completely flip over. So I put in a claim for a warranty to have my recliner replaced with Ben. (Ben who I was told is the "specialist" in many areas at home plus, but is really just a specialist in absolutely nothing) It took weeeeeeks to get someone to come out, and after they left it took a few more weeks for someone to answer my phone calls. I was giving a delivery date and confirmed it over the phone to arrive that Friday. My recliner was never delivered that Friday, so a few more weeks go by trying to get someone to answer my phone calls and nothing. My husband calls from a different number and boom they answer. Ben goes on telling my husband they have been trying to call me for weeks with a delivery and they have no missed calls at all from my phone number (which is a lie). This has now been going on for almost a year, and I have yet to have my new recliner or any compensation for dealing with this place. I only gave them 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. If your into rude, unprofessional, dirt bags selling you cheap pieces of shit then you should definitely shop at home plus and ask for Ben. I will be calling the BBB, and telling everyone I know to stear clear of this place read more

Went to Homeplus 4 months ago and left a glowing review. However since the day of our purchase our experience has been horrible. We love most everything we bought but our sectional. I contacted them within 30 days spoke to someone did a claim as told and never heard back. My husband contacted them they came out said oh they didn't put the support in the arms we'll get it fixed and now 4 months later when they say I'll call you right back today and don't. They can come take their sectional which has proved to be awful and fix my situation in some manner or I can just stop the bank from payment because follow through is just as important as initial customer service. I would give negative stars if I could. Bought 2 different couches from here and had nothing but issues. The first set of couches were broken and the "leather" was coming off after 6 months as well as stitching was ripping. Took them forever to "warranty" them out. At first they lied to the warranty department. Stated we had a party and someone's dog jumped on the couch and broke it. That was a huge lie. Then the warranty department was only going to warranty the one couch and try and "fix" the other. They would never call with updates and would not return calls. Eventually they reached out months later. They then warrantied both out. We went down and picked out 2 new couches. Within 3 days they broke. They are power recliners. I have been trying to contact home plus regarding this for weeks. I have left a message with a lady and she said to call the claim department. I refused due to the couches being less than 30 days old. I then never heard from anyone and called again and left msgs on the answering machine. Have yet to hear from anyone and we still have broken couches. These couches were expensive and are broken and I am very upset with the customer service this place has. Never go to home plus. So impressed by this whole furniture store. We walked in and not given any high pressure to buy what we were looking for. Our Sales Representative Mike directed to the area to look and that was it. He checked once to see if we were finding what we were looking for and answered a couple questions. We did find our merchandise at such a reasonable price and set up our arrangements for delivery. I was considering replacing my couch since I've had it for 21 years and the mechanism on one of the reclining chairs broke. So I went online on homePLUS' website and found a very nice reclining loveseat with a console I was interested in but I was concerned how I would get my old couch out of the house. I called homePlus and Matt Donaldson answered the phone. I told him I was interested in a loveseat but had an old couch that needed to be disposed of. He said that they do dispose of your old furniture for a reasonable price of $49 & they also deliver & set-up your purchase wherever you want it in your house. I told him I was interested in the loveseat I saw on their website and Matt asked me which one it was, then told me the availability & took my order right then and there over the phone. He offered a bunch of coupon discounts and made up the order form and sent an email for me to electronically signature the form and BOOM! my loveseat was ordered easily and quickly. Matt answered all my questions and was very polite, courteous and did everything to make sure I got the best deal. I was very impressed and pleased by his customer service and how I was able to get the exact loveseat I saw on the website without even having to go to the store or purchase it online. Matt said he will contact me by phone and email to let me know when my loveseat is available & to set up a delivery date. It was so easy and as I said before, Matt was very polite and accommodating.
