Within the first few minutes of speaking with the lady that greeted me. I mentioned that I usually go to Van Horn Jewelers in Owego and her next response was that she had heard that they do very good work over there. She made a couple of other comments that were positive about the competition and then asked what she could help me with. My first thought at this point was that Van Horn Jewelers must be doing a pretty good job if the competition is telling me so and it made me feel good that my previous decisions on my jewelry purchases were pretty good as well If this place is telling me that the other place does good work. So anyway the reason I stopped in was to have a watch repaired. It's not an expensive watch in comparison to others, and in fact it's probably going to cost as much as it retailed for originally to fix it If not a few dollars more. I was already aware of this by doing some research and I am okay with this. I had originally taken it to another place to have it repaired and I was told that it wasn't worth it because it would cost too much which I didn't feel was that other guy's decision to make, so I took my watch and went home. Vancott Jewelers didn't approach it from that angle, but instead understood that I was looking to have this repaired, quoted me an estimate and a price for shipping. The woman I was talking to at this point is named Carol and she was most helpful. She showed me what she thought the problem was, and was very polite and courteous. This all happened yesterday, I haven't received the estimate yet, and obviously haven't had the watch repaired and yet here I am already leaving five stars. The end result of what I decide to do with my watch in my opinion isn't relevant as the service I've received so far was exemplary.

I have never been disappointed! I am especially grateful that they are so honest and trustworthy. I recently brought a ring that needed to have the diamonds tightened. The jeweler told me there were two ways of doing so and explained what was involved. One way would only cost $50. The other would cost $100+ more (due to the addition of gold). I agreed to pay the higher price. When I received my piece, I was thrilled to learn that there was no need to reinforce/add the gold after all. I was only charged $50 and my ring turned out beautifully. In regard to the negative review from another customer below, I'd like to say that Cunningham's takes a photo of your jewelry whether it is to replace a watch battery for $12 or fix a thousand dollar piece. You can select the coffee yourself through the plastic canisters or select a bag at the top if you can't find your flavor or are in a hurry. Some unique coffee flavors that they carry here are coffee cake and snicker doodle! I have yet to find those flavors anywhere else! Besides coffee, you are able to buy a variety of sauces from some of the local restaurants in the area. Not sure what they taste like? No worries! You are able to sample the sauces free of charge to determine which one suits your fancy. They also have a good variety of fudge, candy, and salsa available as well as a whole other section of the store dedicated to random household decorative items, "gifts" is what it probably should be called. In short, Toms is an excellent little shop in Binghamton that is a great source for any local or visitor to pick up some great coffee...or if you want some free sauce sampling.
