Who doesn't love the place with the helpful hardware folks? This is one of the best Ace Hardware stores I have ever been in. There is a log of gardening materials, a very large kitchen section, including appliances. It is a great place to gift shop! As you are waiting in line there are a lot of candy options to tempt you. First of all you should know that this place used to be at 318 E Agate. But they've moved, so don't be confused 'cause most of the info sources have the wrong/old address. Now they're in the former remodeled Lever Bros food store on the west side of town. Ther's nothin' like a good hardware store. Even if I don't particularly need anything, I always have a fine time walking through one, and this one's got some prime pickins. Plus, get this: Free Popcorn--all the time. I said, all the time. Who could want anything more? Anyway, a while ago I didn't think I needed anything but went in to the newly moved Country Ace and what did I find I couldn't live without . . . a Weber Genesis Grill at a price lower than they were offered in Denver. What could be better? A guy buyin' a grill at a hardware store. Yesterday, during breakfast, a chipmonk started squawking INSIDE the house. Turned out it got in through a hole something had burrowed in the facia. Went to the trusty Ace and came away with the perfect expando-foam-megamaxo-filler-insulation-thingamajig . . . called "Great Stuff." Worked like a charm. This is typically my go to place for things related to what an Ace store would have. Never had a rude person, in fact its usually far opposite of being rude. I live in the area so here every other week it seems. Have not checked prices against Amazon or HD or Lowes on every single thing but I'm not put off by the prices at all. read more

Hands down the worst Ace in the country. For example I needed a flashlight. Sure went down here and bought one for 45 $.... the ace in Fraser same flash light 20$.... They don't carry regular T posts. And say you want a box of spikes each one is a 1.50 they are a rip and can not wait till the day a better store opens and puts them out of business. read more

I've been to this area several times over the past two years, and have been to this Ace a couple dozen times buying small items to help a friend who lives here. The place seems well stocked with many items in different categorys. My only complaint is that EVERYTHING is way overpriced. read more

HORRIBLE ACE Store - Very rude clerk. I needed some 1/2 PVC pipe. She takes me to the "pipe room." No prices posted. Have to then go and have her check the price. I ask if they can cut the pipe. $2 per cut to cut a piece of PVC. You must be kidding me. Ask if they have a saw or PVC cutter and then I can then cut it. Rude clerk says "No this isn't a Home Depot." No kidding. If there was a Home Depot or Lowes or Menards anywhere close, this store would thankfully be out of business. I will avoid this store as much as possible. A friendly helpful hardware store wouldn't charge for the 15 seconds it takes to halve a piece of PVC pipe. Very disappointed. read more
