The owner is unbelievably rude. By far the worst I've ever dealt with. Called and verbally attacked me (threatening a lean) without first explaining the situation. This was less than a week after installing and I had paid my contractor in full. Demanded payment without fulfilling outstanding deliveries promised by their salesmen...by the 3rd sentence he was threatening a lean on my house for the "outstanding balance" over a $65 dollar item. DO NOT USE THEM! Installers hit the water shut off valve and water poured into my kitchen and dripped down into the basement. Now my hardwood floor is warping. I called and emailed several times and they always said someone from management will call me back. It's been several months and no one has called me. I understand accidents happen and would have been happy if they offered some sort of solution. But they NEVER CALLED ME. It's very sad that they run a business like this. BUYER BEWARE! read more

Not even sure where to start. It took 4 different trips and 2 different crews to my home to install the countertops. They forgot to polish one of the edges against my stove and they said it was too late to do anything because they glued the seam for the adjacent slab already. I had to use sandpaper to smooth over the sharp stone edge. They left smudges all around the countertops because they were sloppy with the epoxy adhesive and didn't clean it off right away. On one of the slabs, they didn't even use adhesive to adhere it to the countertops.  The first 2 times they came, the crew dropped the slabs inside the home and then left without saying a word. They literally left and sat in the van for 20 minutes and then left without saying a word. I had to call the office to ask if they were going to come back to finish the job. The office was clueless as to why they left. The next day, they told me they fired that crew. They had 0 pride and I'm honestly not even sure they knew how to read a tape measure. The 2nd crew was a bit more helpful but it was too little too late.  This company also takes full payment before they install the countertops. They do this for a reason. Because once they have your money, you really have no recourse. Please read recent reviews; customers are not happy with this company and seem to be having bad experiences. My husband found this store's website that advertised pricing starting at $19 psf for granite. We trekked out to Harrison Township to check it out. He made an appointment with someone for us to come see on Saturday. The person wasn't there. Kelly helped us pick out two different types of quartz that coordinated, for our kitchen island and counter tops. She also had us pick out sinks and hardware for the kitchen and wet bar. We didn't ask for it, but she assumed. Whatever - we needed them anyway and happy to get it done. My husband brought our kitchen blueprints with him, and she wrote up a quote. It wasn't any savings for if we would have stayed in the Ann Arbor area, but we were tried of shopping for counter tops and just wanted it done and Kelly got it done for us. Looking at the bill, nothing was itemized. Labor, stone, hardware, nothing. All was listed and a total given. When I asked what the cost was for these items. She gave a verbal on the total cost of the sinks and hardware together. If I would have pushed, I am sure I could have had one, but I would expect that a quote for $12K+, an itemize invoice is a given. This raised a flag for me and I wanted to leave but my husband said it was ok - that was about what he estimated we would be spending. Still left me uneasy but again, we were tired and my husband wanted to be done. You get a 3% break for paying cash. $1000 down with credit card at the time you sign, a check for half due at the time they come out to take measurements, and the rest at the time of install. The check clears quickly. I was super excited that they were able to come out to take measurement on Monday, when we signed on Saturday, and Kelly said she'd do her best to get the install scheduled and done before my mom's visit on the Friday coming in two weeks and she made it happen. Installers did a great job. Kelly let us know what to expect and we were prepared. They don't install the hardware, but they will drill the holes you will need for it and install the sinks. The sinks have to set 24 hours before installing the faucet, waterlines and disposal. My husband is very handy but if you are not, have a plumber install your drains and faucets. Not something to mess around with and ruin your new kitchen. Ours looks fantastic. Trust Kelly's eye for color and coordinating. We love it. read more

Beware.... What you buy & what your told your buying may not be what you get. They certainly do not communicate well. I knew something was off when within 10 minutes of leaving the shop & my half down to have them even come out & measure they were cashing my check. Everything about this experience was horrible. Whoever they got to install did take out my old counter tops nicely. $8,000 later i have green looking grey, scratched up, stained & miss matched counter/back splash, no useable sink & now a water damaged under sink. I am beyond frustrated. Horrible communication from "Pete". I had quartz installed in my kitchen. Was never told that I would have to have all of my kitchen plumbing redone as the designer/measurer did not care or did not notice that my sink plumbing was completely opposite of where and how the sink was installed. Emails sent to "Pete" go unanswered and zero response from the company. My sink leaks, was scratched upon install (black). Installers cracked my plumbing when they did the disconnect. So I had no water for two days because my older home has no cold water shut off under the sink. It really is too bad that they have no compassion for the single working mom and cannot even return calls or emails. I would avoid this company at all cost for the simple fact that once they get their money they are completely done talking to you. Very disappointed in the customer service or lack there of. Was given an install window of 1-4. No phone calls to give a heads up. No phone call to say they will be there after 5. The install would later take three hours. My time is also important but they don't care. Calling the business multiple times directly got me "Pete" saying he had no idea where they were and he could not believe they were not there yet. JUST TRUST ME WHEN I SAY AVOID THEM BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE FINAL JOB. Probably not the customer service the company envisioned giving when they started but it sure is that way now. I only Yelp when I know I legit have been wronged. I plan to tell anyone and everyone I know for the rest of my life that this company should be avoided at all cost. We had our kitchen countertops done by Countertops Direct and it was the worst experience ever. The day the countertops were to be installed they came with countertops that was covering half my kitchen sinks. I was told by the Countertops Direct installer that their CNC operator change the measurements that was taken by the gentleman who came out to our home who measured our counters with a laser and was very precise and even measured twice, so the installers had to take back the granite countertops. When they came back later that week the countertop was installed with a crack in it. When I talked to Pete about the crack countertop he got angry very rude and started raising his voice at me and told my husband that "we could take Countertops Direct to court if we weren't satisfied" I tried to get the owners name and number but no one would give it to me. Like all home renovations there were some bumps in the road, some that I caused but at the end of the day the project looks terrific. I completed 3 baths and a kitchen and CD was able to accommodate my timeframe to get it done. Marie was terrific and Greg was thorough and responsive to my needs. The installation crew was good. Knocked out the job in about 3 hours. I priced the job with another granite supplier and they were about 1/3 more while Home Depot was almost double. If I could give a 0 star I would. Had the counter tops installed and the undermount sink. They said it lasts a life time!! Low and behold I woke up this morning to a loud boom and the whole sink fell off. I called today and they told me that it is only has a warranty of a year! She did suggest that they could come out and fix it for 250 but if they are in the area it 100. After spending 1000s of dollars to have something installed properly I feel that they should stand behind their work! Just had my granite put in today. Kelly was great in helping us pick the colors to match the rest of our kitchen. Rich who came to do the measure was quick and very professional. The installers were great. Did not leave until everything was done correctly. Even went above and mentioned that we could have a window sill made up of the same granite. They did my kitchen and it looks great, but definitely overpaid! When I went back to get a quote for a remante granite countertop for my bathroom which is not big at all they quoted me $990 with sink and install. I went to Tile and Stone Works on 19 mile and Van Dyke and was quoted $438 for sink, install, and removal of old countertop. I think $552.00 is a big difference in price between the two companies. Well if anything goes wrong on install don't expect Pete the Manager located in Harrison Twp. location to have integrity and do the right thing. Not only did he speak down to me (I feel because I was a woman arguing my point), he raised his voice to me MULTIPLE TIMES, bullied me, interrupted me he also kept disagreeing with my contractor hired to reinstall plumbing, etc. after install as to avoid acceptance of any fault!! Mind you he was on speaker phone so we all heard his demeanor change to that of a more courteous manner as one would expect I should have received as his customer. My plumbing was most probably/certainly damaged under my sink upon granite removal/sink install by HIS installers necessitating a plumber be hired to get my kitchen back up and running my contractor told me. I spoke to Pete rather tried to was snapped at and met with complete UNREASONABLE arguments. I emailed him photos of the busted drain pipe, photos of where the install guys had deliberately busted the granite for easier removal at the part of sink that would have aligned itself to the breaking of the pipe as he requested. He asked if I physically saw the pipe break with my own eyes. No Pete my head wouldn't have been underneath the sink, in a cupboard as solid granite was being hammered to break! I did however watch granite being hammered but my word was no good to him, just my money!!! I sent pictures of the granite sitting outside of my home where installers PLACED IT and he then asked how do I know it didn't break outside! I can tell you to say we were flabbergasted would be an understatement! I paid over $6,000 for counters and COUNTERTOPS DIRECT wasn't willing to cover a couple hundred dollars for a plumber to get me functional???????? As my husband is a business owner over twenty some years, I can assure you he wouldn't be if he treated any customers this way. RUN RUN from doing business with them because Pete is the Manager I was told for all their locations so as myself doing business in Clinton Twp. you too will be directed to and subjected to Pete. ! I also inquired as to whom the OWNER was and literally heard fear of job loss by sales person and was told I can only go to Pete (refused any information) so don't expect a resource other that him for assistance! I told the sales rep to please let him (owner) know if he'd like to try and rectify this by reaching out to me as I'd be forced to post my honest reviews online and received nothing! In close when a company makes you PAY IN FULL the other half of payment owed A DAY PRIOR TO INSTALL, RUN RUN RUN! Now I see why that's their policy. It's all about integrity! Note: I was told Pete is new as of past year so earlier reviews wouldn't pertain to him! We ordered cabinets and granite counter tops from the store in Port Huron. It has been a disaster. We started our kitchen in October 2016, it is now March 2017 and I am still waiting on pieces to arrive that were wrong. I know you get what you pay for, but the quality sucks. Although we had good customer service, the countertops that were installed have water spots. When I called and told them about the problem, they sent an installer out who claimed he didn't see the obvious. Need to vent- I bought granite for my house, I paid 5700 up front at Counter Tops Direct. They were supposed to come and install on Monday, then told me their contractors were sick. Of course I don't want anyone sick in my home, so I was understanding. (A bit frustrated because I disconnected all the plumbing for all my sinks). They came on Wednesday as they said they would and did HALF the job. Then they tell me I need to trim down a pipe in my kitchen. (Frustration number 2) I am a single girl, and depend on my brother for almost everything, like why did they not look at this when they came to measure, So I spent my evening at Home Depot and looking up videos on YouTube on what to do. Friday they were supposed to come and make my home operable and did not show up. I called them Saturday very upset the girl told me her manager would called me back and didn't. So now I'm almost a week of brushing my teeth, washing my hands in the tub/shower, and cannot even use my dishwasher. I called them back today telling them they need to come tomorrow or I want them to take out what they have done and give me all my money back. Once again she tells me she's going to have the manager call me back, and what do you know they don't. I have called them 2729292 times they will not answer or return my calls. Would recommend looking elsewhere. They were the 3rd quote I received on kitchen countertops and it was nearly 50% higher than my other quotes. Tried to ask for a logical explanation like maybe they don't work with the supplier for my product selection but there was no explanation. Finally came back and said they could match the competitors price. My guess is if you aren't a smart consumer they will gouge you on price if you let them. Unfortunately, the wrong countertops were installed in our home. Make sure you double check the name of the countertops you want installed before signing anything. Instead of apologizing, figuring out what went wrong, or trying to make the issue right, Ana and the General Manager(Greg/George-forgot his name) had the worse customer service I'd ever experienced in my life. The GM is not customer focused at all. His main concern was making sure he got paid. He did not care that I was an unhappy customer. He was extremely rude and unprofessional on the phone with me.I had to place a stop payment on my check just to get a call from him. Ana (sales rep) lacks accountability, integrity, and accuracy. She made two major mistakes during my transaction, one of which I caught. The other (wrong countertop name) which I did not. If you go with this company I hope all goes well. As long as things go well with your transaction and installation you should be fine. The installation crew was fast and nice. We just ordered a counter top from Countertops Direct in Port Huron, MI. The installer didn't drill the sink hole in the center of the sink and they left a 5/8" gap along the wall because they said they could only cut in a straight line. read more
