This is perhaps one of my favorite places and make sure I come here at least once each time I visit…read moreSheffield. This place is very spacious with plenty of elbow room. As others have mentioned, the food here is not your standard pub type food, but what they do server here is top notch and always tasting great! They are accommodating and will adjust the plates to meet your requests. The only down side is the serving size is a bit small, but going with a few extra starters solves that problem. The beer line up here is outstanding... page after page of beers are listed here and my guess is it would take some time to come here and go through all the beers they offer here. Some of which have very high alcohol content to boot. This certainly is not your rowdy pub, nor is it a stiff suite place either... its relaxing and always offering something different. Can't wait until my next visit!

Walking along division street and being turned away for being too late, we jumped in out of the rain to The Old House. Having been very impressed with The York we were looking forward to trying the same owners offering on Division St. The Cajun Chicken Pie was delightfully cooked, with pastry breaking apart with the sword of my fork. The chips and peas struck chords of Nan's cooking on a warm, summer eve. The burger topped with bacon and cheese oozed with moisture and some fresh salsa complimented the meat with its sharp edge. I will always go drinking in The Old House. The atmosphere, plethora of drink choice and well thought out furnishing makes for a brilliant watering hole. I'll eat there too now.

As one other poster commented, the place has recently been renovated, so it is very clean and in good order. The selection of beer is nice and I personally enjoyed making my way in trying out the line of Sam Smiths brews. The price of the beer is also "extremely" inexpensive... so a little money goes a long way here. On the down side and due to the prices, this place can get busy and there is a good number of the people who've clearly had a pint or two too many. From the few times I visited here, it seems there was a group of seniors which were getting themselves pickled and if they were to die that very night they probably would not need embalming. I also didn't find the staff to be very friendly. They were not mean, but not overly sociable either. In the end, if you are with a group of people and in the neighborhood, then this is the place to come for a round or two, and then move onto your your next location.

George is a great guy, looks after my nan as well(not in a kinky kind of way, as a good neighbor kinda way).. Prices are really reasonable. You will not be short on conversation, and aesthetically, it's a stunner. Beautiful little pub tucked away on Norfolk St.
