It had been a year since I'd had my hair cut, and due to some health issues I was having a lot of hair loss and I was really unhappy with how my hair was looking. I explained that I wanted more volume and to try to hide my thinning hair as much as possible. She was empathetic and a good listener. She asked me questions about what type of products I used and how much time I wanted to spend on it each day, to ensure that she gave me a cut that was suited to my life. I love how it turned out! First time visiting Jacey. My daughter (13) was nervous because she has had a couple of bad hair cut experiences lately. Sometimes when they a child's hair, a hairdresser doesn't listen as well as they do to an adult. Daughter has thick fine curls ans is growing out a terrible half pixie with a heavy top. Jacey took her time, listened to what she was asking for, checked in repeatedly and respectfully, and earned my daughter's trust. Daughter is very pleased with her hair and said it is the best cut she has ever have had. The salon is busy and welcoming and lovely. Used to love this salon! My stylist relocated so they put me with another girl. She was super sweet and friendly but at the end of the day I needed to go back and have my hair fixed. I'm a red head and she died my roots a violet red and left the rest of my hair was still a light red. Went back the next day to have all over color done to fix it and they CHARGED ME FOR COLOR to fix the color they originally got wrong. Disappointed to say the least. Took my business elsewhere and we are still trying to fix the mis match color. 3 stars cause this salon is so cute and well done. read more

I'm extremely disappointed by the work and service here. I got my hair done by chalsye smith and I've been here before and loved my experience from other people but this absolutely ruined my experience here. I got a wash and blowout for my babyshower and all I wanted was my hair straightened and my stylist was running between me in another client and completely rushed through my entire style, she did not part my hair at all did not put any of it up to straighten underneath I was left with a horrible frizzy mess with an crooked part and pieces left curly still the day before my babyshower!!! I ended up having to try and salvage it was much I could and I wanted my money back but they don't do refunds. I paid money to have this done and I ended up having to redo the entire hair my self and it still looks horrible. My special day was ruined by this and I can't go back and get it fixed I didn't have time and I was just rushed out of the store. I'm sooooo upset and disappointed! read more

I really debated leaving this review, but I wanted others who have the same hair type as me to be aware. I just moved here and was looking for someone to cut my grown out PIXIE cut. I stopped in and had a consultation with one of the stylists who assured me that she would be able to do my hair. Anyone who has a pixie cut knows it's very hard to find stylists who are great at pixies and when they're not it's really hard because you already have short hair and so cutting it the way you don't want or too short is a huge bummer that can't be fixed. So I waited two weeks for the stylist to become available, I won't mention her by name because she was a very nice person and I really enjoyed her company and I don't want to cause any issues for her. But when I came for my haircut, I showed her a photo of what I wanted. I told her that I did not want the front point to be shorter than the bottom of my chin because my face is rounded and I didn't want it to look larger and I also wanted to be able to curl it. She cut the front far above where the bottom of my chin is, about 2-3 inches too high and I was pretty upset, but I didn't let her know because she was such a sweet person. I decided to just let it grow out because what other choice did I have. It's been 2 1/2 months and it's still not where I want it to be. However I decided to give her another shot and I reached out to her to ask her if she could do a quick touchup on my sides while I let the longer part of it grow out. She got back to me and wasn't able to fit me in for a week to ten days which I thought was a little ridiculous as it takes literally 5 to 10 minutes to do what I was asking to do. Any of the stylists that I've had in the past were able to fit me in quickly or same day. I decided then to just do it myself at home, and that I won't be coming back here again. The photos I've seen of this place really looks like they do great hair, but only if you have long hair, you want extensions or if you want color done but I really don't think this is a place to go for short haircuts. read more

Jazzmyn is awesome! Today was my second time seeing her and I'm thrilled with the results, Jazzmyn, and the salon. I went in feeling not so great today (surprise visit from Aunt Flo) and while I still felt like crap on the inside, I felt like I looked great when I left! That's hard to do when you feel bloated out of your mind and exhausted lol. I've been to a handful of stylists since moving to the West Valley and was having a difficult time finding someone I liked. I have fairly thin and fine long hair and it's hard finding a stylist that does my hair exactly how I want it. I saw Hannah today for a trim and I'm very happy with it. She blow dried my hair afterwards to make sure everything was sitting perfect and it was honestly the best blow dry I have ever received from a stylist. She also explained everything she was using in my hair. I will definitely be coming back to Hannah, she was great. read more

My daughter had an appointment with Jazzmyn. We arrived ten minutes early to check in and sat down. For thirty minutes, no one spoke to us, Jazzmyn didn't acknowledge we were there or to let us know she was running late. Finally, she came to get my daughter and cut her hair. While I was aggravated- I let it slide. I booked an appointment with her three week later. Literally, 45 minutes AFTER my appointment time- no one in the salon acknowledged that I was waiting and she never came to let me know she was running late or to see if I wanted to continue to wait. I left. No one called to follow up to apologize for wasting my time. I do not suggest booking with her. She is inconsiderate of your time. Note to Jazzmyn- people like me make specific arrangements to schedule a haircut. I left work early and drove 30 minutes to get there on time. The least you could do is acknowledge me and see if I was willing to wait or reschedule. I understand stylists get behind- but 45 minutes and twice?!? read more

I cannot say enough good things about Adam! From the beginning of the appointment to the end, Adam was great! He began the appointment by asking me what I wanted to do with my hair and carefully listening to what I wanted to achieve during the appointment. He brought out hair color swatches to be precise with the color he could attain and verbalized what was realistic with my current hair color. Throughout the appointment, he checked in to make sure I was comfortable and was friendly throughout the appointment. Out of all the hair stylists I've ever worked with in my years of getting my hair done, Adam is the best hair stylist I've ever worked with. From his kindness, to his professionalism throughout the appointment, I could not be more impressed. His years of experience shined throughout our session. I really appreciated his dedication to maintaining the integrity and health of my hair. At the end of the appointment, I had the color I ultimately dreamed of. My entire experience was relaxing. I felt pampered and comfortable the entire time I was there. In regards to the salon, it is gorgeous and clean. The staff there are friendly and helpful - it does not have a cliquey/mean girls kind of vibe whatsoever, which has been my experience at other salons in the past. I'm very picky when it comes to spending money on my hair. I have a hard time "splurging" on myself. When I go, I want to be in a space that is relaxing, comfortable and warm. From the moment you step into Cotton Salon, you feel all that. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. Everyone is so nice. The staff all get along. It is truly a treat to spend time there. I have naturally dark hair that I have lightened. Coral takes the time to explain what she's going to do, makes it beautiful and then makes sure I know how to take care of it. I bring my 3 youngest daughters here as well because I know everything will be done right every time. If you're going to get your hair done, make sure you go to Cotton Salon.
