He was also very knowledgeable about the menu and we were lucky to have him as a server. I also want to talk about Mercedes, this woman is going places in life. She is someone who when you spend any amount of time speaking to her you have met a superstar. This woman deserves an award. I am going to even contact the corporate office because Mercedes deserves a far better acknowledgment than a random Yelp review. 3 star is ONLY FOR THE FOOD. Upon arriving, hostesses fumbled seating us. Then we waited 15 minutes before ANY acknowledgment from service and that's because i grabbed the hostess attention to it. Then waiter acted like it wasn't 15 minutes until hostess proved him wrong. Then waiter NEVER checked in with us once until I asked for ketchup and another drink and the check. On May 12, 2021, this location messed up an order containing 4 entrees, an appetizer and dessert. Instead of receiving a Santa Fe Duo and Chicken Fried Pork, totaling $29, excluding tax, we received 2 other entrees instead. I brought those incorrect entrees back to the restaurant. The manager advised she could not credit my credit card for the incorrect entrees; instead, she said she would credit 2 entrees for free on our next order. Today I placed an order for a regular Cobb Salad, a Santa Fe Blackened Tilapia and Grilled Cajun Duo. The guy who took my order over the phone advised that I would have to pay only for the Cobb salad. However, when I picked up my order, the manager said all she could give me was a credit for the 2 least costly orders. In other words, the manager was giving me a credit for the Cobb salad and Santa Fe Blackened Tilapia; I would have to pay for the Cajun Duo, which was $17. I asked her whether I should be credited the equivalent of the total cost of the Santa Fe Duo and Chicken Fried Pork, which was $29. The manager seemed to be doing something at the register in response and replied that she could only give me a credit of $21. So, she didn't budge from her original position of crediting me for the two least costly entrees. While I am grateful that the manager tried to make things right for the last incorrect order, I find it strange that I would not be credited an equivalent amount for the two previous incorrect orders. If customers find themselves in the same situation, beware! You will not be credited for the equivalent total of the orders that Cotton Patch messed up. I know mistakes happen, but, in my opinion, this was not the best customer service for making up for an incorrect order. read more

This location doesn't plan and is always late with orders. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes to finally receive my food order. Typically, the food arrives cold, which it did plus it was improperly packaged, and the food had leaked all over the bag. I will not be ordering from them again. read more

Each time was given 0-5 min wait time, then after waiting 5 mins was told it would be at least 30 Mins after I watched them seat someone with no wait right in front of us. He was new it was only his 2nd day so I won't fault him for anything that happened, we get seated at a table that was sticky but let that go, my mom and I ordered our appetizer and food fairly quickly the food comes out before the appetizer and then we nicely remind the waitress about our fried pickles she said they'd be out in 5/10 minutes and that there fryer was down which didn't make sense because my mom had fries with her order and other people got fried items out at the same time, it wasn't a problem that they didn't come out on time but be honest and say you forgot to put them in then when they finally came out they were very hard and flavorless they tasted like bad fryer oil, when we told the manager she snatched the plate off of our table and said oh ok and acted like it was an inconvenience that we were taking to her! My 7 month old was with us and he's learning to eat independently so he was eating rice and some rolls he made a little bit of a mess cause he's a baby!! She said what a mess over here, i offered to clean it up she said no and whispers to the sever "it shouldn't have been a mess" then rolls her eyes at us continuing to make comments point and roll her eyes!! Some people came in behind us and they needed a high chair! And yes, no chives either. For dessert? Here, have an uncooked piece of blackberry cobbler. I took a picture and the crust is raw. "Want" to like the place and all, as the menu items should be something to enjoy and come back to get over time, but ... no, that's not the case at all. After 3 times there, over 2-3 years, I/we've decided to just not try anymore. All times, the food was extra salty, and nothing special to remember or speak of. It was fairly clean and people are friendly, but the food is what is supposed to keep you coming back right!? :( Oh, and our waiter that was a trainer, ummmm.... they must certainly need more staff. Cotton Patch is a mixed bag. On days when you think they will be busy, the staff handles the large crowd very well. Food is served quickly and there are rarely any problems. Then, if you visit at a not-so-busy time, they struggle. I attribute this to staffing and/or management problems. When things go well, the food is good. It's comfort food for the most part, but there are some healthy entrees. When things don't go well, it's typically that service speed that suffers. Tonight, we had slow service speed and a number of things that were out of stock. A properly stocked kitchen should rarely if ever have outages of food. At its worst, we have been comped meals for exceptionally bad service speed. This has happened twice -- one at our request, one at a manager's insistence. They try to make things right when they go wrong. With a new menu, they have an uphill battle for a restaurant with a history of bad service speed. read more

Giving them an extra star because I've ordered delivery from them through Uber Eats, and it went pretty well. The food was good... when they got the order right. I've received the wrong dessert items, and had a handwritten note on the receipt that said they were out of something... had I known before it was delivered I would have ordered something else. Love this place! It's a southern comfort food type restaurant so I wasn't expecting to order Baja fish tacos, but they caught my eye and decided to give them a try. So good!! Comes with chips, salsa, and a delicious green chile queso as well. Super impressed! Only downside to our visit this time was the floors were so sticky, my shoes made a suction noise every time I moved. It was kind of gross, but I'm hoping it's an isolated event. Recently, my son and I ate here together while we were out Christmas shopping. We didn't have to wait and were seated immediately. It wasn't super busy, but busy enough for our waitress to not see us. For over 15 minutes. During that time, no one came to our table. I tried to make eye contact to anyone who went by. No one. I finally flagged down the manager who was talking to a table near us. He immediately stepped into action and made things right. He took our order and had someone bring us drinks and fresh bread. Our waitress came over and confirmed our order and the food came out pretty fast. The food is decent, but the service typically seems to lack. With so many options in the area to eat, we typically don't think of coming here. I gave it three stars which is consistent for when we've eaten there. We've been a couple times. Hostess warned us that they were short staffed but should only add 10 -15 mins to the cook time. Sadly we waited about 55 mins for our food to come out and that's from server entry not at door time. We ordered fried pickles which we enjoy here over many places. The entrees were solid but not overly amazing. Lil guy had the classic chicken strips and fries. He enjoyed it but said the chicken wasn't great and left 1/2 if it - he usually leaves nothing on the plate but he did he most of the fried pickles. The chicken fried steak was chewy, mash potatoes were great and green beans were bland but I think that's par for the course with green beans. First, if you are going right after work on a weekday, expect a wait. The place fills up fast. However, if you go into it expecting that, it's not that bad. The servers work very hard. Ours was named Taylor or Tyler, hard to hear in there. But she did a fantastic job. He food was hot and fresh. And plenty of it. I recommend the chicken fried steak, my wife recommends the chicken fried chicken. You can't go wrong with the okra too. As always, fresh, hot bread to round things out. It said on the recipe that I ordered a family sized and I assume I was charged for it so I called their number and spoke with the manager, she said unfortunately we cannot give you the right mac n cheese you ordered and paid for. Service was beyond terrible, waited over two hours for someone to take my order. I tried to get their attention, but they seemed to ignore me. I finally got someone' attention and asked them to help me get my order placed. When my order finally came, it was wrong. I wanted it to go but came on plates, and had no silverware, no roll or butter so I had to asked for them too. On the plus side the food was good but I could be wrong about that since but the time I finally got my meal I was famished which has a tendency to impact one's palate. The food at cotton patch cafe is not worth the price or the 30+ minute wait to get seated and served. The place is always understaffed and the servers cannot keep up with their job. The cooks do not know the difference between a medium sirloin steak and one that's well done. Plus the steak definitely tastes like it's vacuum sealed and prepackaged. OK so service is very friendly and prompt, establishment is clean and motif and decor follow what it's trying to convey. Those are the pros, but I don't buy food on looks. That being said the food was pretty standard fare. The Fridays /Applebee's /cracker barrels have any entry into the long list of generic American and her name is cotton patch cafe. Had the Cajun duo and I regret the choice, over seasoned, salty and overpowering the soft flavors of shrimp and tilapia. Shrimp were pretty small yet they were up selling from 4 to 8 shrimps for 3 more dollar which seemed exorbitant. My wife had a burger and I could tell she wasn't lovin it.
