Kindest and most accommodating service I have had at a cotton patch! There was a miscommunication with our order but the server and manager were very kind to accommodate. Very attentive and kindest manager as I have never seen a manager check in on his guest. Server ensured there wasn't any meat on my loaded mash potatoes after I mistakenly ordered it normally as it's was a Lent Friday. Will be coming back! Thank you again! read more

I ordered a to go meal and I ordered a chicken fried steak with gravy and when I got home the gravy was not in the bag. I called the restaurant and asked them to make another order for me and I would bring the original meal back. they made the order again and gave me a gift card for the inconvenience. I got home and started to eat and blood came out of the chicken fried steak. it made me sick and I called the restaurant again and asked to speak with the manager and she apologized for the inconvenience again and said she would offer me another gift card and remake my meal. I went back to the restaurant and they had my meal in a bag and said they couldn't give me another gift card. terrible service and the female manager on Sunday night lied to me. 9/3/23 Not happy about the service at all. Be very careful to check your order before you leave the restaurant or don't go here until the get a professional manager on shift. Very disappointing experience I have pictures of the bloody chicken fried steak read more

My Husband and I came to the cotton patch café on Saturday July 2 and our server Sawyer was AMAZING . Our drinks were refilled, food was fast and his attitude was amazing! He was also very knowledgeable about the menu and we were lucky to have him as a server. I also want to talk about Mercedes, this woman is going places in life. She is someone who when you spend any amount of time speaking to her you have met a superstar. This woman deserves an award. I am going to even contact the corporate office because Mercedes deserves a far better acknowledgment than a random Yelp review. Thank you Mercedes for restoring faith in humanity and making the world a better place. Women like you change the world :) BUT ANYWAY the Food and service was AMAZING read more

amazing service and very friendly staff. food is always hot tasty and quick to get . love coming here on my break at work .

We held a Saturday lunch F/R and this restaurant went above & beyond! TY to Augustine (Mgr) and the two servers: Rosie and Vincent. Thank you for handling the crowd and being so gracious! The food was excellent and the atmosphere perfect!! read more

3 star is ONLY FOR THE FOOD. Upon arriving, hostesses fumbled seating us. Then we waited 15 minutes before ANY acknowledgment from service and that's because i grabbed the hostess attention to it. Then waiter acted like it wasn't 15 minutes until hostess proved him wrong. Then waiter NEVER checked in with us once until I asked for ketchup and another drink and the check. We will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. we even watched other visitors be shown the same treatment after us. Avoid this place. read more

Charlee the manager does not allow rolls so she can boost appetizer sales, maybe she should be in training for the food industry. I like dessert but after that I wouldn't order dessert. Rolls in this place may be the best thing going for them. read more

On May 12, 2021, this location messed up an order containing 4 entrees, an appetizer and dessert. Instead of receiving a Santa Fe Duo and Chicken Fried Pork, totaling $29, excluding tax, we received 2 other entrees instead. I brought those incorrect entrees back to the restaurant. The manager advised she could not credit my credit card for the incorrect entrees; instead, she said she would credit 2 entrees for free on our next order. Today I placed an order for a regular Cobb Salad, a Santa Fe Blackened Tilapia and Grilled Cajun Duo. The guy who took my order over the phone advised that I would have to pay only for the Cobb salad. However, when I picked up my order, the manager said all she could give me was a credit for the 2 least costly orders. In other words, the manager was giving me a credit for the Cobb salad and Santa Fe Blackened Tilapia; I would have to pay for the Cajun Duo, which was $17. I asked her whether I should be credited the equivalent of the total cost of the Santa Fe Duo and Chicken Fried Pork, which was $29. The manager seemed to be doing something at the register in response and replied that she could only give me a credit of $21. So, she didn't budge from her original position of crediting me for the two least costly entrees. While I am grateful that the manager tried to make things right for the last incorrect order, I find it strange that I would not be credited an equivalent amount for the two previous incorrect orders. If customers find themselves in the same situation, beware! You will not be credited for the equivalent total of the orders that Cotton Patch messed up. I know mistakes happen, but, in my opinion, this was not the best customer service for making up for an incorrect order. read more

This location doesn't plan and is always late with orders. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes to finally receive my food order. Typically, the food arrives cold, which it did plus it was improperly packaged, and the food had leaked all over the bag. I will not be ordering from them again. read more

No more. Never again. I keep trying and this place just continues to disappoint. If you want your order done correctly, you have to eat in. You cannot trust them to get your to go order correct. Tonight's issues: I received a very small container of queso, but no chips I ordered a fully loaded baked potato and clicked no chives. I got no butter, no sour cream, no cheese, and no bacon. Oh. And yes, no chives either. For dessert? Here, have an uncooked piece of blackberry cobbler. I took a picture and the crust is raw. And the cobbler was very very cold - I think it was frozen and thawed on the trip home. Need rolls or cornbread? You better ask for it because you won't get any and they don't ask you. Same thing with eating utensils. And butter for your bread. That's it. I'm done. read more

Multiple attempts to dine in. Each time was given 0-5 min wait time, then after waiting 5 mins was told it would be at least 30 Mins after I watched them seat someone with no wait right in front of us. The food is sub par at best but the kids eat here. With the terrible, terrible service. I'm done and never again. read more

Ehhhh take money else where. Ordered tomato bisque and a salad. Took them 20 mins to say they didn't have the bisque and then another couple of mins to say they didn't have the salad I wanted. I pretty much just said ok and watched my husband eat his food and then we left. read more

It's a new city for this family of five so we were looking for dinner. Mr Google spit out names and by spinning the wheel we landed at The Cotton Patch. The building is located next to a major road and surrounded by different establishments. As you enter, the place has a chain/home feel to it. Our clan of 5 sat in a booth and ordered our dinner. The establishment was empty yet our server, Veronica, was outstanding. If you go eat there make sure she is your server. I had the grilled pecan catfish, wife the catfish basket, kids chicken and burger. Veronica brought us complimentart warm fresh bread with butter. The bathrooms were well kept and clean. The kids burger is what it is. The kids chickadee meal was flavorful according to the other son. My wife's basket of fish was lightly breaded. The crunch was crisp and without that oil taste you get in other restaurants. The fries were seasoned with a good portion of both items. The grilled pecan was mmmm mmmm good. The fish had a blackened flavor and the filets were slightly breaded. The green beans were slowly cooked with pork and its taste was further enhanced. The service, tasty food and clean environment makes it a must return. It was well worth the low price. read more

Updating this review while sitting AGAIN and waiting on a table while only 6 tables are seated currently. No one ever seems to know what's going on and they have waiters and kitchen staff standing around, but they can't seat people timely? This location is the worst and the worst run restaurant in the area. Sad because the food (if you get lucky enough to get a table) is pretty good. read more

This place is TRASH!!! Food was terrible! Service was terrible! Mashed potatoes had absolutely no taste. Pork chops were so salty I could've used them to season another meal. Definitely will never come back to this place. I only have it 2 stars because the water was cold. read more

Very disappointed in an online order. There was no sauce for the entree. But more importantly the baked potato's sides were put in one small container. Butter, sour cream, onions, and bacon. There was 4 pieces of shredded cheese. The salad that I was charged extra for, and a few tomatoes and a few onions. read more

The food is good but the last time we ordered we had to wait almost 30 minutes past the time they indicated for curbside pickup. It was extremely slow. However it is a great place to go if you want good homei-style veggies. read more

The food was hot and good. 3 separate meals in one order and everything was correct.

Cotton Patch is a mixed bag. On days when you think they will be busy, the staff handles the large crowd very well. Food is served quickly and there are rarely any problems. Then, if you visit at a not-so-busy time, they struggle. I attribute this to staffing and/or management problems. When things go well, the food is good. It's comfort food for the most part, but there are some healthy entrees. When things don't go well, it's typically that service speed that suffers. Tonight, we had slow service speed and a number of things that were out of stock. A properly stocked kitchen should rarely if ever have outages of food. At its worst, we have been comped meals for exceptionally bad service speed. This has happened twice -- one at our request, one at a manager's insistence. They try to make things right when they go wrong. With a new menu, they have an uphill battle for a restaurant with a history of bad service speed. read more

Love this place! It's a southern comfort food type restaurant so I wasn't expecting to order Baja fish tacos, but they caught my eye and decided to give them a try. So good!! Comes with chips, salsa, and a delicious green chile queso as well. Super impressed! Only downside to our visit this time was the floors were so sticky, my shoes made a suction noise every time I moved. It was kind of gross, but I'm hoping it's an isolated event. Every other time I've come here, it's been fine. read more

First mistake was ordering a steak.. the filet. By the time we got it 45 minutes after ordering, my side items were cold. Was informed it took longer for mine because the cut was thick and half the kitchen staff did not show up. Approximately 7 tables being served and she stated they were busier than they thought. Over an hour of my time wasted here. read more

We've eaten here a couple of times. If you want comfort food, this is the place to eat! A lot of yummy fried foods and bread. Good old fashioned cooking. Recently, my son and I ate here together while we were out Christmas shopping. We didn't have to wait and were seated immediately. It wasn't super busy, but busy enough for our waitress to not see us. For over 15 minutes. During that time, no one came to our table. I tried to make eye contact to anyone who went by. No one. I finally flagged down the manager who was talking to a table near us. He immediately stepped into action and made things right. He took our order and had someone bring us drinks and fresh bread. Our waitress came over and confirmed our order and the food came out pretty fast. The food is decent, but the service typically seems to lack. With so many options in the area to eat, we typically don't think of coming here. I gave it three stars which is consistent for when we've eaten there. Had the manager not made such an effort with this last visit, it would have been two at most. read more

I decided to give this location another chance. My first clue was the two tables of customers that walked out before we had our drink order taken. After our order was taken the table across from us started chanting (quietly) "food, food, food". Eventually the food came and was good, but why does this location always make me wish I had gone elsewhere? read more

Giving them an extra star because I've ordered delivery from them through Uber Eats, and it went pretty well. The food was good... when they got the order right. I've received the wrong dessert items, and had a handwritten note on the receipt that said they were out of something... had I known before it was delivered I would have ordered something else. I ordered 2 sweet teas and got six small side containers of tea once. I will probably continue to order from there and keep hoping for the best because I do really like some of their food. read more

We've been a couple times. Hostess warned us that they were short staffed but should only add 10 -15 mins to the cook time. Sadly we waited about 55 mins for our food to come out and that's from server entry not at door time. We ordered fried pickles which we enjoy here over many places. The entrees were solid but not overly amazing. Lil guy had the classic chicken strips and fries. He enjoyed it but said the chicken wasn't great and left 1/2 if it - he usually leaves nothing on the plate but he did he most of the fried pickles. The chicken fried steak was chewy, mash potatoes were great and green beans were bland but I think that's par for the course with green beans. Gave 3 stars as mgmt comp the meal on their own accord as they noticed most of the folks around us with food and nothing on our table. read more

"Want" to like the place and all, as the menu items should be something to enjoy and come back to get over time, but ... no, that's not the case at all. After 3 times there, over 2-3 years, I/we've decided to just not try anymore. All times, the food was extra salty, and nothing special to remember or speak of. It was fairly clean and people are friendly, but the food is what is supposed to keep you coming back right!? :( Oh, and our waiter that was a trainer, ummmm.... they must certainly need more staff. He should never be a "trainer," as the service was "ok," but certainly nothing to speak of nor brag about. (missed times, refills, courtesy checks, pre-bussing (none)... ) Not sure why they continue to stay busy on weekend evenings! Really!? Perhaps we're missing something... read more

The host was great! He was new it was only his 2nd day so I won't fault him for anything that happened, we get seated at a table that was sticky but let that go, my mom and I ordered our appetizer and food fairly quickly the food comes out before the appetizer and then we nicely remind the waitress about our fried pickles she said they'd be out in 5/10 minutes and that there fryer was down which didn't make sense because my mom had fries with her order and other people got fried items out at the same time, it wasn't a problem that they didn't come out on time but be honest and say you forgot to put them in then when they finally came out they were very hard and flavorless they tasted like bad fryer oil, when we told the manager she snatched the plate off of our table and said oh ok and acted like it was an inconvenience that we were taking to her! My 7 month old was with us and he's learning to eat independently so he was eating rice and some rolls he made a little bit of a mess cause he's a baby!! She said what a mess over here, i offered to clean it up she said no and whispers to the sever "it shouldn't have been a mess" then rolls her eyes at us continuing to make comments point and roll her eyes!! Some people came in behind us and they needed a high chair! The manager then proceeded to point at us and say, well since there's a mess over there it's gonna take a while for a high chair pointing at us!! I will not be back! I have never gotten this terrible of service!!! No understanding of compassion please get better management I would give 0 stars if I could! The managers name was Jennifer very very rude!!! read more

First, if you are going right after work on a weekday, expect a wait. The place fills up fast. However, if you go into it expecting that, it's not that bad. The servers work very hard. Ours was named Taylor or Tyler, hard to hear in there. But she did a fantastic job. He food was hot and fresh. And plenty of it. I recommend the chicken fried steak, my wife recommends the chicken fried chicken. You can't go wrong with the okra too. As always, fresh, hot bread to round things out. I'd live to tell you about the deserts, but their just wasn't any room left. And I'm a fat guy, I know my deserts! read more

I ordered over the phone and asked for a family sized mac and cheese and then I got my food came home and there was a small side of mac n cheese instead of the family sized I ordered. It said on the recipe that I ordered a family sized and I assume I was charged for it so I called their number and spoke with the manager, she said unfortunately we cannot give you the right mac n cheese you ordered and paid for. I will not be coming back here and I advise anyone else not to either the food is bland and the customer service is awful not to mention the rude manager!! Maybe if they cared about their customers they would compensate me or at least refund me for goodness sake I didn't even get my money back!!!!! read more

Went on a weekday which I thought would be ideal to try the place.. Walked in to people sitting around, Like they were waiting on their food and had been waiting a while and looked inpatient. Needless to say I decided to stay after waiting seven minutes for a hostess to even acknowledge us. Anyways so after 30 of waiting for my food.. we walked out.... No one checked on us or asked if we were ok. So at this point. We where done with the place read more

The food at cotton patch cafe is not worth the price or the 30+ minute wait to get seated and served. The place is always understaffed and the servers cannot keep up with their job. The cooks do not know the difference between a medium sirloin steak and one that's well done. Plus the steak definitely tastes like it's vacuum sealed and prepackaged. Management will not credit your money back for an incorrect order. Stay away. Save yourself a headache and disappointment. read more
