Delicious food, great ambiance, and fantastic service. My family was stranded in town after an unfortunate vehicular challenge the night before. While we waited for it to be repaired, we hit up the Cotton Patch Cafe for lunch & were wowed by the whole experience. Everybody loved their entrees, rolls straight from the oven, & desserts. Feb 2018. Lordy how does this establishment survive with the slow service. You can see some other patrons expressions as they patiently wait to get their refills and food. Our waitress must've forgot to put on our order cause 2 other tables that were seated 5 minutes after us received their food. If the main office reads this please retrain the managers and staff. UPDATE: May 30, 2017 still small sides but for the price can't complain too much. Reason for downgrade is staff isn't attentive; forgetting to place appetizer, side salads and doesn't keep drinks filled or ask about if we need refills seeing that all of drinks are empty. Food is still good. Have eaten at this chain several times in Ardmore and was excited to have this new location in Chickasha. The food is really good, tasty with a homemade flavor but portions are way too small as if I ordered a child's meal, especially the sides. Most likely to leave still hungry. The price is reasonable priced but again the side portions lack in portions. Another issue I had is that the waitstaff is quick to try and grab your plate when you're still eating; our friend left for men's room and had a ribeye steak and sides on plate when I had to stop 9 waitstaff from taking his plate. Who leaves half a steak..? I would recommend however I hope this restaurant tells their staff not to grab plates without permission and hopefully increase those small little side dishes. read more

None of the other servers tended or asked us anything as we gazed upon the menu. Not even beverage orders. It's a basic service. I don't understand why this restaurant cannot provide their customers with proper service. Surely they were staffed. All the table around us received their beverages and orders immediately. This place is really great! We enjoyed our in between softball games at a weekend tournament. The people we went with were raving about it so we thought we would tag along. The service was great, the young man was very kind, professional and did his job well. The food was better than expected! I had a pick two which was perfectly priced at $8.99. There was minimal decor, so I'm not sure their theme came across as nicely as they thought it would. Restaurant looked very clean. The food was great. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The fried green tomatoes are to die for-- and you have to try the avocado ranch dip. I wosh I would've ordered a full order instead of a half. My grilled chicken was amazing. The rice is more of an orzo style, and the veggies were fresh. The only reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 is because my husband's steak was ordered medium rare, but it was cooked medium well, and he said it was like "well seasoned shoe leather". The food is very good here. We've had several different meals (not many restaurants in Chickasha) and we've enjoyed all of them. Tonight was no different. We got there early and were seated fairly promptly. Hint to staff: no I don't want to sit at a pub table when I'm walking with a walker. The wait staff could use some training. It took 45 mins to get my house dinner salad, and then, before I could even get 1/2 way through, my dinner was there. Finish my salad or eat a cold dinner? If they were busy at 3:45 in the afternoon, I'd be more understanding but we were literally the only ones there. After bringing our dinners the waitress, who was very pleasant, checked on us several times but never picked up our empty dishes. Bring something when you come to the table and take something away when you leave. Nobody wants to sit surrounded by dirty dishes. The food is good, I'll even eat the tartar sauce, normally I won't touch the stuff. We'll be back. read more

Since arriving in Chickasha we have eaten here several times, the lunch specials are well worth the price, and the Sunday Turkey dinner gave lots of turkey and stuffing& I love the multiple choices of sides. The cinnamon apples are specially good. The wait for a table has never been long, and the service by several different wait staff was good, occasionally a forgotten item, but it was quickly fixed. One star is being generous. From the beginning of entering the establishment the hostess acknowledged us with attitude and incompetence. We were initially given a 25 min wait only to be told it was switched to an hr. Eventually we sat down, after and hr so wait, the waitress was kind and as helpful as she could be. We waited for another 20 then 30 minutes and realized that the table sat prior to us had not received their food. I walk up to the kind waitress and ask if our food was even in preparation and she kindly told us not yet. I could tell the the cook staff was understaff and very disorganized. I would highly recommend adding staff to your weekend night, especially holiday. As a manager, I would have never let these mishaps happen. The cost of additional help does not weigh out the poor service and distasteful experience created by this. read more

Absolutely the rudest staff I have ever seen. We walked in, the host looked directly at us and then turned around and started yelling at one of her coworkers from across the restaurant. Once she turns around no greeting, no hello, it's "just 2?". Once we're seated we had been sitting for a good 10-15 minutes waiting for our drinks orders to be taken, no big deal. They could be busy. Finally when our server comes she comes to our table, looks at the hosts and motions to us without saying a word to us. The hosts responds with "yeah that's your table". The server in the most OBNOXIOUS way rolled her eyes and made and shitty face. Then took our order like we were an issue. Keep in mind, my friend and I have both worked in the restaurant industry and we haven't even been able to get 2 words out to even cause any sort of an issue. Then the host greeted a 5 top, they asked for a warmer place to be seated and she again rudely says "we got this one or that one, take it or leave it." First let me say the food was outstanding and the unique selections make me want to come back. Unfortunately I will not be returning. It's not easy being a party of one and eating out but when you're made to feel even more unwelcome by your server it's impossible to forgive. I ordered the ribeye steak, garlic mashed potatoes, house salad and appetizer of the chicken fried bacon. Server was short and didn't seem to want to serve me. So what I got was steak and Mac n Cheese and salad. Salad came first then my steak then half way through my steak came rolls, which I would have assumed should have came with my bacon appetizer. Since I didn't get the appetizer I guess rolls half way through the meal is how it comes? I was also not asked if I wanted desert. Was sure looking forward to the funnel cake fries. We Southern boys like our catfish -- that's a given from the git-go. I found the catfish here to be crisply fried and tender inside, and my hushpuppies were also good. (The touch of jalapeño added flavor, but no substantive piquancy.) My service was fast and polite, and my tab was around the same as it would have been in nearby Oklahoma City. The fried green tomatoes ($6.50 for an order of eight pieces) are exceptionally good, but I never had heard of serving (!!!) ranch dressing with fried green tomatoes. (That must be an Okie thing. Lordy.) The Chicken-Fried Steak looked HUGE -- even the lunch portion! My black-eyed peas were slightly undercooked, but tasty enough. My fried okra was frozen out of a bag, I think, but it, too, was, well, tasty enough. I loved how the steamed broccoli tasted of au jus -- good idea there! The corporate website's nicely designed -- easy to navigate and easy on the eyes. (There's nothing worse than a crappy website when you're trying to find a place to eat when you're out of town.) You can tell that this is a franchise in a corporate chain, yes, but the food really IS good. (There are many more Cotton Patch Cafes in nearby Texas, by the way.) I have a big contract coming up in Chickasha, so I'll likely be eating at this place more often than you'd likely imagine during the dog days of late summer. But, hey, what's better than Southern food and good iced tea in this sweltering heat? Be honest. This place reminded me a lot of both The Delta Cafe (another corporate chain that serves up Southern food) and the long defunct Black-Eyed Pea chain. Our family of four stood at the host stand for a good five minutes before being acknowledged. A server came up and turned his back to us in order to serve his needs. A simple "hello", or "we'll be right with you" would have been nice. Instead we stood there wondering if we needed to seat ourselves, if the place was closing down, or if they just don't value their customers. Finally, a young person came up and said, "sorry, I just got here..." and then very quietly seated us where we continued to be passed by and completely ignored for another 15 minutes. Not one person said, "hey, so and so is your server, they'll be right with you...", "can I get you a drink while you wait for your server?" it was more like people avoided eye contact with us and the staff seemed lost. Perhaps management should have been out on the floor pitching in...? I used the restroom as my family waited for someone to come greet us (which never happened) and it was absolutely the most disgusting restroom I have ever been into. The smell of urine burned my nose and my shoes stuck to the floor. I'm confident that bathroom is very rarely- if ever- cleaned. In the future, I would avoid this location at all costs and I would not recommend it to my family or friends, either because it is obvious these people do not value their customers. read more
