Anyways, Maria was my massage therapist and let me tell you, her hands are magic!!! I told her my main concern was my tensed up neck and shoulders and she got right to it and it was amazing! She knows what she is doing. And not only that, she found a trigger point on my lower back that was crazy painful (a lot of emotion I was holding there) she managed to slowly get into it to my comfort and honestly I felt immediate relief! Received A Groupon from my children for Father's Day for a 90 minute massage with one out on which could either be essential oil's or hot stone. I arrived approximately 20 minutes before my appointment and was pleasantly greeted and asked to fill out some personal information regarding the nature of my visit for the massage any trouble areas.I've been proceeded to use the restroom which was unclean and was overflowing with trash since my appointment was on a Monday morning I would've expected this place to be spic and span knowing that over the weekend usually cleaning crews can come in and clean for the new week. Once I left the restroom I went back to the waiting area and sat down on some very dingy and very dirty couches (and floors). This place was a mess. Now to the massage: I must say that the lady that performed the treatment was very good technically and was very personable. I do believe that I received a quality massage despite it being a Groupon however she was very heavy-handed and I'm definitely sore two days after but maybe that's what I needed as I did not tell her to release any of the extra pressure so bad on me.Although the massage was quality she cut my time by 10 minutes so what was supposed to be a 90 minute massage was an 80 minute massage I was already sore so I didn't say anything to the owner on my way out. Overall I would give the massage quality of five but the facility itself needs some cleaning and some replacement and that's why it received a three stars read more

I get massages frequently, mostly from chiropractor offices because they seem to have more formal training and really address my issues. Always a 90 minute and always deep tissue or a trigger point. If you know massages, these can be painful for most but I have gotten so used to it that Swedish does nothing for me. I arrived and Katie came out. She was welcoming and very warm but I was worried because of her size and possible ability to last all 90 minutes for a deep tissue.... Good lord was I wrong! Not only did she last, it was one of the best damn massages I've ever had! Deep pressure the entire time, she wasn't chatty and I didn't need to tell her where I was in pain - she found my knots and worked them out! I've referred at least 6 people to her and all are going to see her in the next week or so! Amazing, can't say enough about the massage from Katie. The receptionist seems ornery and not very friendly at first but she warmed up and was super helpful by the time I left. I overheard her talking to someone about a therapist having to leave early.... In person customer service is difficult and I'm sure she has to deal with the face to face of situations she has no control over. That can't be easy, again, she was pleasant and helpful when I was checking out so I will not remove stars for someone having a tough job. read more

I originally bought a groupon for this practice, that's how I found it. I have been coming here for almost 2 years now and don't plan to go anywhere else! The office is simple, clean, and everyone is friendly. I've been to more "spa" like places and gotten mediocre massages, but I'd rather come here and get phenomenal massages! The room I've always been in is dark enough for me and I have always had music playing. I've only had Dr Cottam as my masseuse so I can only review on him personally. I work in medicine using my body quite a bit. As a result, my neck and shoulders can be very stiff and painful. Dr Cottom has always done such a great job. He really knows the body and how to manipulate the muscles to get the best results. UPDATE: I haven't gone to any other practice since approx 2014. I've started going monthly and couldn't be happier. I see Mara now and she knows my body and what I need. The office has very good specials so I'm always happy with the massage and what I pay. read more

I just returned from my visit to Cottam Health Partners. The two stars are not for the quality of massage. The massage was just fine. It was the service that tensed me right back up. I'm from out of state and saw the Groupon online for a 60 minute massage and figured I would take advantage of it while I was in town, as my back is all out of sorts. My masseuse, who's name I don't remember, was nice enough. He made conversation with me throughout the massage which I've never experienced before and which I don't really like, but whatever, I dealt with it and didn't want to be rude and ask him to please stop talking to me. As he was working on my legs/butt he asked if I played sports because I had great muscle definition in my legs. I said no, I'm more of a musician and a singer, but thank you. He asked what instruments I play, I told him, to which he responded, "You're charming me like crazy. Do you have a boyfriend?" I answered him, yes, and he said, "Ugh, of course you do," and continued to talk to me about music. This was right in the middle of the massage. I considered getting up and leaving, as I found this interaction EXTREMELY inappropriate and invasive, especially as I'm lying on a table naked in a dark room while you're touching me all over. I was made to feel very, very uncomfortable and I sincerely hope that this kind of behavior is not a regular occurrence. Please do better in the future. read more

After four rounds of golf in six days, my BW and I were in serious need of a therapeutic massage. We discovered these folks close by and were amazed by their friendliness, professionalism, and reasonable costs. We were greeted by Erika who's originally from Queens, NYC. Erika has a great personality and was very helpful. She's been here for about ten years. Maria was assigned as my massage tech. Maria was amazing and worked every muscle in a very sore body. Maria gives a great deep tissue massage. My BW had Mara who used aromatherapy (peppermint) and stretching work to totally invigorate her body. Mara gives soft to medium pressure and was very good. Had a lower back / hip issue that I didn't want to have worked on! Big mistake, waited a week and my "Bride" told me to go and see Dr. Cottam to get adjusted. Well they were able to get me in Saturday morning, called Friday afternoon and they worked to make sure I could be seen. When I arrived I was greeted and informed that AJ (I'm pretty sure) would work on loosing up the area before I was adjusted. I have had massages in the past but never for an injury and had always been from a female therapist when I had them, I never asked or was offered a male therapist. Well AJ was by far the best massage I can recall! He worked the area that was causing me issues and by the end of our session I was able to move 100% better. Then I went and was adjust by Dr. Cottman and was able to walk pretty much pain free, woke up this morning and was the best I had felt all week. Still a little sore but as Dr. Cottman explained it would take a couple of days for the swelling to subside. I will be back in the future and hope that AJ is available when I schedule my next appointment. Thanks to both AJ and Dr. Cottman for making me feel so much better! read more

I received a massage from Athena at this location. Best massage I've ever had, hands down! My only complaint is that the massage started a couple mins late and ended 5 minutes early. I know that's pretty much how it is everywhere but if I pay for 60 mins - the services should last 60 minutes. My boyfriend received a massage from Maria and he also loved it. However, his ended early also. All that said, I will definitely go back! Oh, and I cannot remember the name of the woman who scheduled us originally but she was extremely courteous and helpful! However, I moved away and it has been 2 years since I was there. I just called today for an appointment with him and the receptionist left a very bad representation of this establishment. I was really surprised since she answered the phone like she didn't want to be there. Asked me 3 words questions, and her answers were one word and just really unfriendly over the phone. I am hoping this was just one of those bad day and she was not like that to other clients. So I still made an appointment with him because I know he is great. But I'm thinking of cancelling the appointment because I don't want to come in and have to deal with the receptionist. I will update this review later. Massage from Julie was EXCELLENT and will bring me back. This was akin to a deep tissue/sports massage that many locations charge extra for and she kept it up for 90 minutes! She did a great job releasing a lot of my muscle tension, I was SORE (which is a good thing!) the next day. Price was very reasonable. I take off a star (perhaps should be more) because the pillow used to support my legs during the massage was yellowed and dirty with no cover or pillowcase and the sheets covering the massage table were ratty and had bleach spots (they were red). Honestly, I'd pay more for the massage if they would upgrade their linens, use a pillowcase for presumably reused pillows, or better yet invest in a massage bolster that goes under the sheets and doesn't touch the client. read more

I was able to get a last minute appointment - same day service after calling so many places. The lady I worked with was very professional and knew what she was doing. Just caution - don't over stretch customer neck - I am a bit sore from that. Today is Monday - I had my massage on Saturday. I will recommend this place to others. One suggestion: PLease change sheets after each use. I don't think the sheets used on me were changed after the prior customer. I would prefer clean sheets always. The massage therapists are great and the place is very cleanly. If I hadn't had two experiences where my scheduled appointment weren't ever scheduled I would even give this place a five. Both times I was asked to reschedule my already made appointment after showing up to their establishment. The second time I even had a text confirmation for my appointment and I was the one told to reschedule instead of the person who had just walked-in. I realize that this place has a 5 star rating but some things have been happening here that have me concerned about this business. For those of you that don't know you can buy coupons for adjustments in their office and they are usually 4 for $100 and a while back they had a special where there you could get 5 of them for $100. I bought one of these packages and now I am starting to be worried that this place is not financially stable as both of the last two times that I have called for appointments the doctor has been unavailable for days up to a week at a time. I hope that this place has not been just collecting money from people and are getting ready to bolt and go out of business... This place also used to have 3 locations and are now down to only 1. I just wanted to inform people about this so that they don't get in too deep money wise with this place until we get some explanation for this. read more
