I would not recommend using the tire center at Costco. I had four new tires installed on my Range Rover, and after picking it up, I noticed chips on two of my rims that appear to have been caused by their mounting equipment. As shown in the photos, the damage is clearly new with the silver exposed. I expected a straightforward claims process since I understand mistakes can happen, but the tire department is insisting the damage was pre existing and even referenced a conversation that never occurred, which is concerning. I am honestly less upset about the damage itself and more concerned about how it was handled. I still love Costco, but I wish I had read more reviews beforehand and chosen Discount Tire in the same parking lot. Overall, very disappointed with this experience. read more

COSTCO IS ALWAYS THE PLACE TO BE!! 30 years and counting! The service is always top notch! The selections are great! I was able to get snacks, wine, mimosas, Starbucks Creamer, and Gas! No complaints here! I paid $5.98 for creamer at the grocery store and it was literally half the size of what I purchased here for only $7! It was definitely a steal! THIS IS NOT ABOUT COSTCO -- IT'S ABOUT THE DELIVERY SERVICE INSTACART!!! I urge you not to use Instacart for grocery shopping and delivery. I'm an amputee confined to a wheelchair, and up until Friday I counted on them to shop and deliver food, paying a premium and tipping the driver. I'm not rich -- I live on Social Security. I always notify the shopper through the app that I need them to bring the delivery inside since I can't get down the front steps in a wheelchair. Friday I had an order in at Costco, and despite several messages reminding the driver to contact me upon arrival and bring the delivery inside, a woman named Maritzka dropped it on the sidewalk, took a picture, and sped off without even contacting me. I called their "customer service" number immediately and asked them to send the driver back to complete the delivery (explaining my circumstances) but the phone rep said she couldn't do that so she would issue a refund. Fast forward to today; after calling to find out when the refund was scheduled to hit my account, I got this: Hi James, Thanks for contacting Instacart. We reviewed your request and order information. We maintain our decision to not give you a refund, credit, or re-delivery. Best, Sai Instacart Customer Experience They didn't maintain their decision -- one was never communicated to me. I'm aware there are low-lifes out there who try to scam delivery services, but if they checked my history, I've been a paying customer since 2019. They must be doing well if they can afford to treat paying customers like this. If you want to see a return to the idea of customer service, please consider forwarding this message and canceling your payment for their non-service. Thanks for listening. read more

I also would not recommend the Costco Tire Center in Wilmington NC. I purchased 4 Bridgestone Tires less than 2 years ago and they have less that 10,000 miles on them. I had my car in for service and the mechanic found dry rot on the tires. I returned to Costco and they would not do anything. I also asked them to contact Bridgestone and they refused. In fact, they tried to blame me. Buy tires somewhere else. read more

I love Costco. I also love Sam's Club as well. I go to both. Costco mainly for food, household products and wine. Costco has great prices on ribs, like 3 full racks of St. Louis ribs for just over $30 (at the time of this review). $1.50 hot dogs in the food court. Great prices on many other items. My negatives on Costco (all Costcos) are - No digital version of your membership card for your phone - No scan and go in the Costco app - Closes early on Saturdays Sam's has Costco beat on these items. This Costco is clean and the service is good. Self checkouts are fast and efficient. Negatives for this Costco are - Location off Market street is jammed with traffic. - It's always busy with hoards of people (yeah, I just described all Costco locations) read more

They're ok.... Am just disappointed that they got rid of the coffee grinder machine. When I asked at customer service I was told I can buy one :\ In addition, they need more handicap parking. At times it takes 35 -49 minutes for one to open up. Employees are very nice. read more

Service, selection, value. Would like to see better sourcing of seafood, Specifically cod, haddock and snapper.

We stopped at Costco in Wilmington to buy supplies for a beach trip at Carolina Beach. Great option is you are looking to make meals at home! The employees seemed friendly and didn't mind our very large cart. When I noticed some of my hot dog rolls had been squished they ran and grabbed new ones for us. They did seem in a hurry to try to get us through the line though it wasn't that busy. Overall we had a good experience and I appreciated them having so many things we needed! read more

I love Costco buying in bulk is a little cheaper and you get more for the price. The people are friendly too.

Worst customer service ever. Texas was rude, threw are apples in the cart, and our items on the belt, didn't smile or say anything to us. Get another job, you are clearly not a customer service worker and have anger issues judging by your demeanor and the way you angrily tossed our items around. I was so bothered by Texas I was going to write up a customer service survey but there weren't any left. I have to say Monique our actual cashier was sweet. She greeted us and asked are you guys having a good day? I would've had a great day if I didn't have to interact with Texas. read more

Normally, I shop at the Raleigh Costco. Today I was in Wilmington and decided to make a few returns here. Even though the return line was extremely long, it moved quickly with two team members helping customers. When it was my turn, the staffer thanked me for my patience and apologized for my wait time. I've never received this level of courtesy in the Raleigh store and was truly impressed! Something as simple as thank you didn't cost the store a dime and made a lasting positive impression on me. I also decided to shop while I was there and found the selection better than the Raleigh store. I scored some amazing wine, clothes and pool floats! Plus checkout was a breeze with plenty of lanes open to accommodate the lunchtime crowd. Parking was also a breeze compared to Raleigh. Going forward, Wilmington's Costco will be my go-to store! read more

Costco is go my gas and fast food go-to. They have the most affordable gas prices in town and quality products. I've heard on many occasions that the staff are treated very well here and often it feels more like a local establishment than super corporate. The gas station here has different hours than the store itself. They're open from 6 am - 9 pm Monday to Friday and 7 am - 7 pm Saturday and Sunday. You do need a Costco card to buy gas here. There is almost always a staff member nearby if you ever need help with anything, and they have an auto body shop right across the way from the gas station for member needs. I believe you have to make an appointment for non-emergency conditions there. The food court! It's changed a little bit over the years but the OG go-tos for me are $1.99 Pizza Slices, the Hot Turkey and Provolone Sandwich for $3.99 and the Non-Fat Froyo Swirl for $1.35. You seriously cannot beat those prices! The dining area isn't the most clean or spacious but I often order to go anyways. Favorite Costco products at this location are: the Kirkland chocolate chip cookie protein bars + the Suja green juice pack + the hummus trio + the rotisserie chicken (ONLY $5) + most their pre-arranged dinners to-go in the back by the kitchen. I really do trust the Kirkland brand and I would probably have more favorites if I tried more things but in a household of 2 who always travel it's tough to stock up on bulk items like that. I've had a Costco card my whole life so I can't imagine living without it. They've helped me with my car, warmed me when I'm cold with warm affordable fuzzy jackets, gave me holiday shopping ideas, and fed me more lunches than any fast food establishment ever. They're great for large families and as far as I know, a great business to work for / support. I'll always be a Costco kid. read more

While shopping at Costco, I stopped at the Food Court to have lunch. Their hot dog lunch is probably the cheapest and best tasting hot dog lunch you can get in the city. For $1.50 plus tax you get a ¼ pound all beef hot dog and a 20 oz drink. Your condiments are limited to mustard, catchup, and relish but that is usually enough for most people. I would have liked to see some chopped onions. Obviously, it doesn't have the best ambience, after all it is a warehouse, but if you are a member and want one of the best and cheapest lunches in town, than this is the place. read more

I have an emotional support cat. I take her everywhere, including hotels, restaurants, Doctors Office. Grocery Stores, I've had no problems. I've even r taken her to Costco 2 times this past summer. I called Costco this morning to check to make sure it was still OK. The lady I spoke said it was OK, I explained to her she was in a stroller like usual. No problem she said I drove 50 minutes to get there and was stopped at the check-in ans was told I since she is not a service animal I couldn't bring her in. I explained to her I specifically called this morning to make sure it was still OK. She said that it was fine. She said she could not let me in. I asked to speak to someone else. A gentleman came to the entrance and related the information the lady did. I said I wanted to speak to someone else. I had to hear it again. I'm confused about why this is the only place that is giving me a problem with bringing my cat with me. She is not on a leash, not dirty has all her shots. When a dog in a leash comes in do they check all there credentials, shots, make sure he is not going to hurt someone????. I will not be going to the Wilmington Costco any longer. Costco. Where the retired push oversized carts filled with oversized bags of popcorn down aisles filled with stuff they don't really need, while clogging these self same aisles by stopping every few seconds to sample frozen pizza, dip, preformed breakfast biscuits and the like. Best part of Costco are the giant boxes of spinach and other vegetables in the open cold sections. Size and value beats the heck out of supermarket packs with less product costing twice as much. Skip the frozen cases and roam the aisles for some great bulk buys. But be careful....that giant bag of popcorn takes forever to eat even if it is 3x cheaper than small "normal" sized bag at the supermarket. It could pack on the pounds around your waist line. Costco is the best stop for a Super Bowl, or block party. After a while, the rest I can take or leave. read more

My parents have been Costco members for years, and my husband and I recently joined the club, now that we're residents of Brunswick County. We live on Holden Beach, which is located almost exactly between the cities of Wilmington, NC, and Myrtle Beach, SC. We signed up for membership at the Myrtle Beach Costco but we'll likely frequent the Wilmington store since it's about 15-20 minutes closer and not too far from Leland, where my parents live. Compared to Myrtle Beach, I find the Wilmington store to be a little more open and slightly less claustrophobic, even though I find both places can be overwhelming. So many people! So much merchandise! Such large quantities! Deep breaths now. Customer service is excellent, and the cashiers keep the lines moving smoothly. Favorite items: - Gas. It's worth waiting a few minutes to save some serious cash. - Wine. No case discount, but prices are low and quality is good. - Kirkland French brie cheese. Keeps well, and tastes amazing. - Kirkland Marcona almonds. Slightly saltier than most, still yummy. - Cashew clusters. Gluten free and full of crunchy nutty deliciousness. read more

I went to Costco with my family and was accosted with the most thorough receipt check I've ever received. I don't know if it was because there was no line or what but the woman checking receipts at the end recounted our items before saying "I keep coming to 26 items", then proceeded to count them out loud and counted 24 items. Then item by item cross reference the receipt and turned out the clerk had not scanned our biggest item ( a box of muffins). They proceeded to call a manager for an audit who then had to walk me all the way to the checkout registers to proceed with payment. Thus making me walk across the ginormous line they caused and making it look like I was trying to steal muffins from Costco? Problem here: a) rude customer service, b) how do they implement checking receipts and not have a way to pay for any I scanned items there or at customer service, and c) do not have a system that inherently shames and embarrasses paying members for a mistake made by your employees (again, I didn't use self checkout, the employee at the register is the one who didn't scan the item). I've never felt so displaced by a business, especially one I paid $200 to join. read more

I had been used to Sam's Club. For 10 years I avoided the big box store, just because they were an extension of Walmart. Their service/product was about the same as Walmart, just underwhelming. Service especially bland at Sam's. With Costco there is a different business model. As I understand, employees are compensated with stock and other benefits that make make them part of the business, not subjects of (in this case, the Walmart example) the "Empire". I vaguely remember a business school case-study on Costco about their marketing strategy to set themselves apart. Well, by personal experience, I went in and learned. Why they are good: 1. Lots of food samplings. Good stuff. 2. A healthy leaning to their foods. A refrigerated section with tons (literally, I suppose, there are alot) of great vegetables and fruits. 3. Abundant fish, meat, and cheese choices. 4. Energetic, helpful, motivated people (hence my 5-star rating) 5. Huge, of course, but not as expected, chaotic. 6. Modern tech offerings, not last year's overstocks. For a big box club store, I cannot find an obvious fault and I am picky and cranky. I try to be stingy with my 5-stars, but these guys get it right. read more

Manager was very rude and made me put all the groceries back on the shelf rather than check out because my membership had recently expired.

I usually have a great experience at Costco. Today whenever I went in to Costco though I noticed that this manager, Lolina, was being very rude to her coworkers when I was checking out. In the process of overhearing the rude things she was saying to her workers, I ended up forgetting an item. When I got home, I realized it was gone and I went back to Costco to retrieve it.
