I've been coming here for years, and it continues to be one of my favorite places in Wilmington. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the booksellers are incredibly knowledgeable about their selection. They're always able to offer thoughtful recommendations without making you feel pressured. I especially love the children's section. They carry so many interesting and unusual books that you just don't find in your average bookstore. I also really appreciate how much Pomegranate supports the Wilmington community, including local authors. And I have to mention the owner, Kathleen. She is genuinely one of the nicest business owners I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. You can tell how much she cares about the store, her customers, and the community. Pomegranate Books is a Wilmington treasure, and I always make a point to stop by when I'm in ILM.
