This is NOT the local Costco the I regularly shop at. See #2!!! What jerk could ever give COSTCO a one star review? We do our shopping here BECAUSE Costco gives us all we need! The produce is better than fresh! You can let it ripen in your own kitchen! Clothing, books, hardware, foodstuffs from the world, wonderful coffees, baking needs, pots and pans, frozen foods, all dairy; and I could go on forever. No need. If you haven't been in, GO join! read more

When heading north up toward the Oregon border, Costco makes a great pit stop for refueling your gas tank. As with most Costco's which are near on & off freeway/highway ramps, this location is a couple blocks off Hwy 101. Not only did we refuel our gas tank, we also made a point of going into the warehouse to check out possible specialized items that is suitable for the local area. What do you ask? Like flannel plaid shirts that Paul Bunyan might wear working as a lumberjack. This last time we didn't see anything that we couldn't get back in the Bay Area. read more

Finally renewed my Costco card and added my husband. The Costco here in Eureka is smaller than the one from Modesto which is where I'm from. The store is clean and has a variety of different products and foods just like Costco is supposed to have. I look forward to visiting the store and getting my products from them and also they have a gas station and the gas is I think $.35 less than it is at a regular gas station which is awesome. read more

The lady in the electric wheelchair that greets you as you walk in needs an attitude adjustment. She always has something rude to say about us bringing in our service dog wearing his vest. She had the nerve to tell me " I don't believe he is a service dog because, I saw him lift his leg up and mark the tree outside" "um, yeah service dogs have to urinate too" and I just walked off and ignored her rudeness. Second time we go in there with our service dog, she gives us the nastiest look. I'm tempted to report her to the ADA. My husband and I both agreed if we need to go to Costco we won't bring our service dog, just because we want to avoid the friction the wheelchair greeter gives us! Otherwise, we love Costco and we just moved to Eureka a month ago. read more

I love Costco every time I shop there every one is super nice , the store is super clean .

Costco in general has been a fun destination over the years. This location is no exception. The times have caught up to Costco though. There are less sample tables, the food court isn't serving as good of food, etc. The employees seem a bit more stressed, and that spills over to customer interactions. I have not experienced any rudeness, its just not as friendly as it used to be. This place is still the best deal for gas in town! read more

What's not to love about Costco?! I mean they have such great deals. But when it comes to down to horrible customer service and rude employees than hands down you left a bad taste in my mouth. I've been a Costco member for years and it's a first for me to experience such an awful humiliating experience yesterday at this specific location. On December 29, 2020 my mother and I went shopping and bought quite a lot of things when we were there including these three jackets that later I've come to find out when I got home was too small for me. So I decided on December 30, 2020 that I'll either return or exchange if their was a bigger size. Arriving at Costco and before entering the door their were two women checking in members as we all know if you're a member. I stopped an told one of the ladies that I have a bag of jackets (showing her) that I'll be returning/exchanging. But I was going to look for another size that was a better fit. She responded and said ok. So I continued on my way to the apparel. After grabbing what I needed as I was heading to the customer service department. I was abruptly stopped by this very rude gentleman that I would assume was security for Costco or theft prevention. He obviously was so rude. I get it, I understand from his point of view he sees some suspicious activity but he blew this scenario way out of proportion. All he had to do was use his customer service skills and communicate what was going on here. I was clearly in compliance, I was not resisting and I was cooperating. Did we not forget that I was the customer. He made me feel like I was stealing and lying. I've never felt so humiliated in my life. He went to confirm with the lady in the front that I spoke with her and I obviously did. I'm no stealer and I have high standards for myself may I add. Did we not forget I was the customer. He gathered all of three management as I would only assume and questioned me. One of the managers that did assist me was by far very understanding. They communicated to me that if making a exchange/return that policy states that I have to do that first. To be honest I didn't know that so is it my fault that the lady in the front did not communicate that to me when I approached her. This was all a huge misunderstanding because the lack of communication when I first entered. If she just told me that when I entered with my question I would have happily walked over and did that first as instructed. Instead of being harassed by the gentleman chasing me down. I wasn't even out of the store yet. As I was making my way to customer service with the manager he helped me with my exchange. I told him I didn't have the receipt but I have the card it was purchased with. He had a difficult time tracking the jackets. He comes back an asks me what else did I purchase. And at that point I could barely think yet alone wrap my head around what just happened here. I was in shock my mind was in shambles. Eventually he found it and walked me out. What was even worse was their was no sympathy and a apology from the gentleman that stopped me. His excuse was the lady in the front broke every protocol. The manager that helped me was nice but when I told him that gentleman was rude he said, "I know he's got a lot going on." I mean come on that is no excuse he should have handled all this a lot better. Now when I think of Costco I feel so sick to my stomach. I feel like I need some kind of closure with the way things were handle because I still have Ill feelings and I was totally innocent in this. I hate leaving a review like this but I want to be vocal about my experience and the service I have experienced was awful in this particular event. read more

Best place ever. I could live here if allowed lol. always friendly staff and it's great to see the same people when we go.

Very rude and unprofessional. I have never experienced such racism and rude employees all in one. I am only up here for College and this is the last thing that I need. I was really disappointed and frustrated with the way I was being treated by multiple employees. read more

When the Enos brothers proposition you with a booze run and you find out Sheriff Buffard T. Justice is hot on your tail, there is only one thing to do. Get a black Trans-Am, a CB, and a friend named Snowman with a truck and a dog named Fred. Or you can pile into a minivan and road trip it 1,128 miles to Eureka, California and role play "Smokey and the Bandit." So we did and made it to one of the most glorious Costcos ever. I love California for its liquor laws- Washington's sucks. We ate a Polish dog and got right to business. There was a better selection of booze than when I lived in San Jose a few years ago. Skky, Tanqueray, Sapphire, Glenlivet, Maker's Mark, Don Julio, Jose Cuervo, Smirnoff, Cabo Wabo, Oban, and Sailor Jerry are all good friends of mine. And now happily reside in my bar at home. When we went to check out I needed twenty-five cents and the girls checking us out happily donated it to our cause. They are awesome. Crazy? A little. But so worth the effort. I am already taking orders for the next run. You in? read more

Passing through town to many destinations (Redwood National State Park-Portland Oregon-Seattle Washington-then Vancouver BC. Went to obviously fill up gas in the truck. Then ran in for some odds & ends when they were just opening up. First customer in the food line- just wanted to grab a drink and a polish hot dog before heading on the road again. First time ever disappointed at a Costco food service. Usually they are really efficient and really good. So the lady behind the counter was talking to another server there. Almost ignoring me. My husband was standing really close beside me. People would know or should just assume that we were together. But she assumes we're not (Why ?? Just because we are not of the same race?? ) And asks him if he needed help. But wait - I just ordered "2 " hot dogs with 2 drinks. Then on top of that - the end of my hot dog bun was hard as a rock. Ordered new LG front load washer and dryer. The dryer has a pedestal drawer and the washer was supposed to have the small side kick washer. Their deliver guys are trying to rip us off by saying all pieces were delivered when we never received the sidekick washer. They also withheld the new vent kit and wires and did the installation with the old hoses and wires. Had I not pressed the delivery guys for these items I did not receive they probably are reselling them on eBay. It's been over a month now and I finally got my sidekick washer delivered. I would set up delivery for first stop in morning so I can get to work. The delivery company kept changing the delivery time and I would have to cancel and reschedule. They changed it this last time from 7 AM to 6 PM the morning of the delivery. I had to leave work early to be there. They brought it to our doorstep on its side and the box is clearly marked on all sides to keep it upright! (See pics). Once again there were parts not installed (hose brackets, nonskid pads and they didn't have the hoses to connect it to the faucet. Had to get another set). They didn't give me the remote or the measuring cup for the soap. Costco is FedExing these. They offered to put the door to the laundry room back up. I took it off before they came. They bent the hinge pins by hammering them in. I have removed and replaced this door 5 times or more for each time they were supposed to deliverwithout having to hammer the pins. Next time we need appliances I'll drive my truck to Home Depot in Crescent City and drive them home myself! Buyer beware! read more

The highlight for this Costco is it's gas station. Easy to get in and out of and always a better price plus the customer service at the gas station is awesome! Friendly, employees say hello, ask how your day is and always smiling.....all of them. Who ever is managing the gas station rocks. It's hit or miss on the inside, particularly at the doors entering or exiting. I wish costco or the police would take care of the constant pan handling and loitering around the perimeter. It sucks!! read more

His Costco is one the smaller size as far as they go but the store wasn't that busy and the parking lot was easily accessible. They had a boat load of people offering free samples out. It seems like every second aisle had someone trying to give away food. The customers were all patient and polite unlike any Costco in Las Vegas which is. Their cashier Mike needs a new job . One where he doesn't impede customers . He made it a point to leave one item on the conveyer belt so I couldn't load it down with my items . He runs over and jerks my drinks up ripping the plastic that helps keep them together . Then whispers to his friend while eyeing me . I could see him eye me weird even before I got to the conveyer . He was obviously worried about me putting heavy stuff on the belt but that subversive BS is no way to accomplish that read more

Costco, Eureka, CA has the best gas prices around. Inside Costco, the items are fresh and well-stocked...great values. Check out their coupon book---if you forget yours, they have extras on the Customer Service desk by the exit. At the Tire Center, the young man who assisted me gave me excellent service and information on my tires...checked them, added air, gave me a free visual inspection and recommendation (said I still had tread life---another tire dealer told me I should get a set of new tires---lied to me)...said not to buy tires yet since the wear sensors were not up yet....very honest and professional. Food court is great---I guess only the newer Costcos have the ability to order food while paying for your groceries and supplies...so you can go to the pick-up line. read more

You gotta love this place. THIS is where to shop when you're hungry. Buying snacks in bulk... what could possibly go wrong?

You can never go wrong with Costco. Yeah, its a members only big box store, but in the case of this property in Eureka... They take special care to stock items that cater to the local taste, theme, and demeanor. With a wide variety of local and import organic items, and a robust flow of northwest camp gear, this Costco is pretty cool. The workers are in general alright. There are a few elitists that take their employment as a sign of importance... But that doesn't detract from the well flowing lines and efficient pharm. read more

Costco Wholesale - As of late Jan 2015 - Gas Stations Near Me - Eureka, California

Weird, some of their electronics are more expensive than other Costo stores I've been to around the country... AND YET, their liquor selection features cheaper prices than those other stores. The patrons are for the most part pastey faced middle aged people and if you go there on a weekday, there isn't quite the mad scramble for consumer products that you find on the weekends... Unfortunately this is also when the cheaper food tasting displays pop up like jam on toast or slices of plain bread instead of the fried food samples I noticed. Yea, I bought a liter of Bacardi, PARTY AT MY HOUSE! read more

Attitude means alot to me. I don't like Costco employees who think they are there only to pick up a paycheck. If I ask for a product I think, "I don't know" is disrespectful. Are you so busy you can't stop and help out a CUSTOMER?? I don't expect you to drop everything to help me. But I do think getting on your communication device and check the inventory is not asking too much. You could take a lesson from WINCO. Their workers will lead you to the aisle. I would be interested if Costco has a customer relations manual and if they hold training for employees. If they don't they should start NOW!! Or maybe I should write corporate and ask them. read more

Compared to all the other Costcos I've been to this one is set up way backwards! It's awesome though, suits Eureka perfectly. Cashiers are always smiley and friendly plus they have self checkout. We don't even have that at the Reno, Sparks, or Carson City Costcos! YAY Eureka Costco! read more

On Friday night, I had my sister order a pizza from the food court so I could pick it up after work. I got gas first and my car battery died so I had to get a jump and so I was late to pick up the pizza. When I got to the food court, the cashier walked away as soon as I walked up and when she did come I told her I had a phone order for a whole pizza. She said ok and then proceeded to search the entire kitchen for the pizza instead of going over to the pizza ovens to find my order. She walked back to me and asked me again for the order. I told her again and when she finally asked the men making the pizza, the one in the front yelled to the one in the back that the "phone order FINALLY showed up." To which the man in the back yelled "finally 30 min late." It's not a large kitchen and even if it were it's not okay to yell about a customer when the customer is right there. It is very unprofessional and disrespectful. When the cashier returned I said I had car troubles I was literally stuck in the Costco gas station. And she responded that it was all good. I'm not sure if they were trying to guilt me for being late or if they just like to talk ill of customers. It's never okay to talk trash about customers especially when they don't know the whole situation. They assumed something and it was mistake on their part and just made me feel even worse. I wish I would have had the guts to stand up and say something right there but I was already emotional about the nights events. And I did tell the cashier and I only hope she told the cooks about it. It's a shame because I really enjoy their pizza but if they're going to berate customers I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Costco. You've seen one, you've seen them all. Their stores are laid out the same. I'm a Costco member. The reason I'm giving two stars is because of the parking lot. If you are in an RV, there is room to park your RV along the outer edge, provided it's not busy. BUT! The problem is getting your RV...... IN ...... the parking lot. There is a "dip" at every one of the parking lot access points. You will scrape bottom. In fact, I noticed this about all the "big box" places in Eureka. The "dip" in the parking lot access point. I had the same problem parking at Rite Aid. I'm sure I damaged something important, I will find out later on. I scraped going in, and scraped going out. Don't even TRY to shop at Costo in Eureka if you are in your RV. Although there is a gas station, don't even try to gas up your RV. You will have problems getting to the gas fill part. Otherwise, this is a typical Costo, and the added part is they have a great ORGANIC section. EDIT: Ok, someone clued me in. The "dips" are about drainage, not about RV's. However, I tried to use the "Trucks only" access point, and found the same "dip." read more

I usually love Costco, but after getting treated like garbage today at the merchandise returns counter, I think my love affair with Costco is officially over. Costco touts a 100% satisfaction guarantee (with a few exceptions), but I learned today that the 100% guarantee is not a true at all. I tried to return my Blendtec that I bought 5 years and 22 days ago. It is an awesome blender but it shoots rust out at the bottom when I blend smoothies and drinks and after dealing with this for awhile, I decided I wanted to return and replace my blender. At $350 I feel like this blender should last for a very long time. They wouldn't accept my return because it was past a 5 year purchase mark. I recognize that 5 years is a long time to be able to return something, but I am frustrated that I didn't know about this 5 year cap. I have been using a rusty blender for a couple years now and I would have returned it at least 22 days sooner if I was aware of this timeline. It is not clear at all when looking at Costco's return policy that there is any return restrictions on a blender. Also, most of Costco's employees are super helpful and kind, so I was so surprised at how negative my experience was this time. Instead of just informing me of this mysterious 5 year policy, Ron (the manager with a crazy gross mustache) came out swinging and making assumptions about why I was returning the blender, when all I really wanted to do was make sure my kids are not consuming rust in their daily smoothies. read more

Love the Costco deals and spend around 4-600 a month there! But like many people have said- customer service sucks and they don't care! I go shopping with my best friend ever single week and we share a cart every single week and it never fails what happens when we go to check out. Everyone is in such a hurry they start putting stuff on the belt out of the basket and I'm like it's two separate orders I got it. They get annoyed. Don't want certain things on the belt. I get it guys but when there's two orders calm down and let me put up my stuff- it will go faster that way than trifling through who's is who's that you wouldn't let me take out of the cart! Many times I've never even had a hello. Hell, most of the time no hello just- "Costco Card?" Umm no shit you need my Costco card I shop here every week for 15 years. I know the rundown.
